Trisha I saw you on Golfholics with Maiya this old man 66 yrs old loved your game but your personality was so infectious I just enjoyed that video so much. I just found your channel recently and subscribed and now you are part of my golf fix along with Zac Radford and Bryan Bros. I don't play anymore due to health reasons but your story, sincerity, passion and openness touched my soul. May God bless you with success in your endeavors and thank you for your videos and effort you put forth producing such great content. It is great to see at peace because you have so much to offer golfers of all ages, besides I love your smile!! RESPECT from a native San Diegan now living in east Tennessee. ONE LOVE PEOPLE!

You are super in what you do for us..we all love you for what you do... Your friend John...

I love the fact that you made the choice you did. I was in a similar situation 15 years ago... That old haha. I played Division I Football for UCF and was ranked #2 in my position for Draft Day. I had so many surgeries on my right knee and played sports from age 4 where I fell back onto my math/stats degree. I actually pulled out of the draft because I knew if I played I would have issues with my knee long term which I do already but it would have been far worse, plus I played for a pretty abusive head coach. When I hear stories like this it makes me happy that you're doing something that makes you happy long term because that's what I did and now just like you, I train the best field goal kickers in the country now! :) Congrats on your choice and your success and keep creating amazing content!

Props to Tisha for posting this vid. So many fall in love with the game and the players, many of us don’t know the flip side of what these great athletes go through to reach and stay at the top of their game. Also it’s awesome you told this story for the young golfers hoping one day to reach the levels you have. Giving them a little snapshot of what it takes to be one of the elites in the game. Great vid!

Totally understandable and when you have the chance to do something you enjoy, can do uniquely in a way few others can that also pays the bills, that’s the dream! You’re a terrific communicator on top of being an amazing golfer and the fact that you have the respect of tour pros and average joes speaks so much about how multi-talented and genuine you come across!

    Tish-
What an inspirational story & thanks sooo much for sharing your journey about yourself & your career . Your definitely doing the right thing in following your heart ❤️, I can attest to that myself . The people & coaches that come into our lives make us who we are by us choosing what’s best & worst about how they influence our thoughts & actions .
We all learn about their teachings & keep the positive & get rid of the negative . Some of my worst coaches & Managers were so negative but influenced me in a way that I knew when I became a Coach ( Hitting Instructor ) or Manager I’d never teach the way they tried teaching myself . Your story hit home much of my journey also. So Proud of you sharing this & I wish you nothing but the best going forward & continued success always . God Speed 🙏⛳️⚾️🏌️‍♀️

There are plenty of personalities and characters on the LPGA Tour - the way Lydia Ko always maintains a positive approach no matter what her critics say or the endless joy that Tiffany Joh always brings to the table come to mind. I’m sure you could’ve added your own stamp to that mix, but what you bring to the game of golf from a social standpoint is far greater. You and your fellow golf influencers - Coach Rusty, Shee Sisters, Digital Golf Collective, Erik Anders Lang, the Random Golf Club among many, many others - you’ve done something that no professional golfer could do: you’ve made golf cool and accessible to the masses. Not even Tiger Woods can claim that. In my mind, you’re the Annika Sorenstam of social media. Not too shabby, my friend. Keep it up!

Most important enjoy what you do. Golf is very hard when playing full time/. Has more downs than ups most of the time. It can be great or depressing. I tried tour school a few times and I decided to pack it up. It wasn’t for me and I went into the working world and now I’m enjoying golf a lot more socially then seriously. I think you made the right choice as it’s getting tougher and tougher and it’s more depressing. Enjoying the game having fun is good.

Unfortunately its not all about raw talent, some people can afford better coaches better equipment etc from a very young age. Its great to hear stories of the kid that came from nowhere. Unfortunately the norm is the kid that has the dedication and has everything at their disposal will now have the better chance to make it. Many people dont talk about the underhands and dirty part of professional sport either. Good on your choice. People always know within themselves what is best for them.

I have felt at times that my heart wasn’t in it to continue what I was doing. It’s part of a life process. You are right that it has a lot to do with a support system. I have many times felt that good has come out of evil in my life. We get emotional rewards from being a good person. It’s good to feel that I’m getting to know you. My latest learning lesson about golf is that we can only do one thing at a time right. The old American saying that you can’t do two things right at the same time. So on the fairways I wii be hitting the ground and therefore consequently hitting the ball. Golfers around me can feel the joy of the ball being struck and the result. Golfers stroke each other’s egos and help each other be philosophical.

It’s often a fine line between love for the game, desire to become a better player and developing a tough mental approach. Every player goes through these competing feelings and coming out the other end balanced requires great advice, mentorship and luck. It really helps to have a good friend who can boost your ego, but also tell you when things ain’t right. Having seen you play on Golfholics I get the feeling that there’s more to come from you, if that is what makes you happy. Sincere best wishes fir whatever you decide...🙌🙌💪🐬

The most important thing is that you seem happy at what you are doing now , you have a great personality for social media so please stay that course . Bottom line is a girl has to be able to pay her bills and if you can’t do that while trying to make it to the LPGA then glad you found your niche elsewhere ...I am sure most of the ladies have financial support to pursue their career and some may not have that luxury ... Big fan of your channel ...

Great video. Just found your channel this week and this is I think my 3rd video. I like the reality you bring. Maybe it's more staged than I can see but it seems like it all comes straight from you with no filtering to make you look better, worse etc. It's just you as you. Thanks for that.
This is a great story and one that all aspiring athletes should see starting with kids in jr high thinking about entering sports. You have some valuable life lessons that kids could learn from, like especially recognizing an abusive relationship and being strong enough to get out of it. I coached my son in both basketball and soccer for that reason. I did not want a coach yelling and screaming at him. We played a practiced hard but we had fun. Again, thanks for sharing your story.
Maybe you have already done this, but have you considered doing a live stream with topics like this or other related topics for people to share stories and ask you more about yours? You probably have done this already, but if not, I think you would be great. Maybe get another one of your friends who have some similar but different experiences trying to make it on the pro tour. Just a thought.

Thanks for the kind words - situations where other kids and athletes could be going through the same story is exactly why I wanted to put this out there, regardless of how difficult it was to talk about. I go live on my IG channel and leave the platform open to talk about anything. Keeping things raw and honest is the way I like to go about things. Would totally be open to having a chat about this specific topic on live sometime.

@@TishaAlyn Thank you for the response. I have been resistant to Instagram (and many other social media type accounts like twitter etc.), as I have been sure that social media in it's current state is in the end more harmful than good. But content like this may change my mind. I may just see you on Instagram. Keep up the great work!

Great in-depth view on how tough it is to make it to the top (lpga). For one Lydia ko, there are hundreds girls grinding to make it.
Hang in there probably Tish. Go Titan!!!!

Great video Tisha....people don't see the grind they just see the fame and fortune. I know a few professional MMA fighters and their grind is unreal to get the chance to win in the cage.

Good for you and to anyone that reads this; if you want to reach the pinnacle in any endeavor, it is a grind. I will add that if you absolutely love what you are doing and able to make a good to great living at it, it makes the grind so much more tolerable. Heres to great success for you.

To your point, I would've probably never watched you on tournament. But I'm subscribed and watching you here. I definitely get more entertainment value from TH-cam.

Admire your character - you gave it a shot, tried very hard, you were in the game for many years - not many people can say that. No worries to change directions in your career - everyone in every type of career does this - hope this next chapter works well for you. You have a very engaging personality and are very knowledgeable of the game. Just an idea for you given your savvy media knowledge and if not already done - many young females from Asia come to the US and are great at their game, but maybe they need a US influencer / media advisor to maximize their presence to the US golf audience and sponsors - surely their sponsorships can be more global instead of say Japan, Korea, and China based corporate sponsors where many are unknown in the US - but KPMG, AIG, John Deere, FedEx are global brands in the US market and Asia markets where these global brands might benefit from Asian female golf global ambassadors. Just an idea. Good luck !!
