Crazy is right: going up a steep incline where the bike may topple over. Those boulders you were riding around could do serious damage to your head.

We use Rokons for trail rescues with a small volunteer fire dept here in Colorado. They’re amazing machines!
I'm so glad the "BOSS" spoke up and put her foot down about wearing "Brain Buckets"!!!! Especially riding on those hills, rocks, and loose stone!
I know this is Robbies channel and everything but we just got to see who is in charge!! When the BOSS lady said we are done UNTIL we get helmets, they were done until helmets were bought! LOL

That was by far one of my favorite videos y’all stepped right in to my world I love riding dirt bikes I ride every single day with my 3 year old baby boy setting in front of me me and him both love watching the Robby Layton channel, and it never fails, every Sunday Wednesday and Friday the first video uploaded to TH-cam is always Robby Layton then normally comes fab rats the Matt always posts last thanks you guys for always putting out videos on time we love watching what y’all have going on!!!!!

I've known people who have lost their life on flatter less rocky ground riding without a helmet. When bad luck strikes it can get ugly. Glad you both survived.
Hillbilly's roots are motocross , a different discipline to footups , which is basically what a rokon is , a 2wd footups bike , but you guys were having fun and thats all that counts at the end of the day .
Real and unpolished making it enjoyable for participants and viewers.
Hillbilly needs a Harley and a rebuild on his Bronco! Dinner needs rebuild on his truck too. They work so hard for Robby!

The Rokon has tractor style tread and if you flip the tires around the other way it will grip better instead of digging in. Keep up the good work guys and girls.
The tires are on correctly. Tractor tires get their traction by driving the tread into the ground like a wedge. The tread blocks are shaped to only work in that direction. They look like they should act like paddles if they were flipped around but it isn't the case.
@@tylerr6754 I understand what you are saying but when you are in mud or sand your argument falls apart. Lessons that grandpa taught me like hitching up Welcome and Ruby to plow the garden. We used horses and tractors. The tread as oriented in the video acts as a excavator and has minimal traction in dry and dusty conditions. You want maximum traction and minimal excavation.
@@celmer6 They are normally fitted that way around so that they self-clean, although depending on what you're driving on that doesn't always work :)
@@austinshackles549 they on like that because on most surfaces it works better. However when you get into sand or mud it doesn't work. Self cleaning is called roll the throttle back and use centrifugal force to clean the tread. These comments smell like city Boys.

He needs to stand up! Get up over the tank. Wide open in 2nd gear! and he will make it up those hills. Standing up on the pegs is the most important thing for most people to change about riding off road.

I used to have a Honda XL125 4 stroke thumper when I was a kid back here in the uk. That beast saw me through 3 heavy winters before I retired her. Fantastic bikes 👌🏻

Had a Rokon when i was a kid. The secret to riding one is to actually put your feet down because it is so slow it uses torque vs horsepower. It will keep going in almost any terrain but you have to balance it with your feet. Also, it looked like you had way too much air pressure in those tires. Drop the pressure and you will be amazed how much better it will do. Took a lot of guts coming down that hill as the brakes are crap on them. It's been 40 yrs since i rode mine but seemed like i remember you could "torque" it down a hill like a Jeep in 4×4 low instead of using the breaks.

Just saw George over on MORR channel in his Rubicon, didn't realise his red Jeep was still going. Thought it might of been gone after it's swim sometime ago. Glad he's still got it. What a bonus having that parts car to help with two projects. Poor Demri having to manage you big kids, even going slow, you should have helmets on at least. This whole bike trial is a bit like the tortoise & the hare. So funny to watch. Such loose surface hills usually only going to be climbed with a fair amount of momentum, but fun watching you try.

I had an old honda XR 250 back when I was much younger, it was slow and heavy, then I got a YZ 250 the first year they had a wide ratio transmission available and what a difference that made, faster, lighter and things didn't break on it nearly as often. I could go places I couldn't dream of before.
