I also ask why they don’t draw the same amount of attention and crowds like DM or DD? The Fixx is equally at good as both so I don’t understand why more fans haven’t latched onto them. Although I admit, I love that the Fixx can play in more intimate settings and are way more involved with their fans without having to pay $350 or more for a back stage pass.
That guitar 🎸 break during Red Skies is brilliant! 😮They sound modern now and before they sounded futuristic. They were ahead of their time. I think they are time travelers who came back from the future.
What great and pleasant memories of 1983, what a great band, excellent music, they sound perfect, They don't have to force their songs for the world to like them, they enjoy them and sound like the 80s!! for sharing inspiring music...
1983 when I discovered the Fixx as a 15 year old playing soccer in Florida on an English football tour. Played shuttered room until it nearly wore out and bought and played everything they ever made since. Good on you boys 🇬🇧
I saw this group not too many years ago, maybe about 6 or 7, and they BLEW me away!! I would LOVE LOVE to see them again. One of the BESTEST groups/performers EVA!!! 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏💖❤️💖 Great video. 👍
On my 3rd listen!! Please come to New England/ Massachusetts!!!! 2025/25!!?? I'm 54. Im a musician. I defy anyone to hear a renowned band thats been around for nearly 40 years that sound this fresh & polished.. Incredible! What great songs with the musicians to boot! Great NEW Songs 🎵!!
I was 15, listening to this album in Dortmund Germany, and it blew me off the map. How the hell did this group finish Shuttered Room with this most existential track? Damn The Fixx... they've been the aesthetic centerpiece of my life (and many others).
LOVEE THE FIXX i have the privilege of seeing them live in Concert 1984 at Iguanas Tijuana B.C. Mexico brought by 91x local radio station at that time . . !!
Jamie's solo on "Deeper and Deeper" from the 1989 MTV Daytona Spring Break show is still one of my all-time favorites to this day. It just kills! The power chords at the end of the solo are iconic, and gives goosebumps every time!
Thanks for posting this! We have tickets to see them tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel - Orlando Velvet Sessions. They sound great! Should be a good show tonight. Cheers!
Favorite band - but this concert could have been recorded in 1988. What about the newer material? And there is a lot of it!! I kept waiting for “Lonely as the Lighthouse”. Loved Cy’s “mind actions.”Haven’t seen those interpretations as of late. Definitely not just going through the show on empty. Thanks for the u-tube Vid.😊
I think you are wrong because The Fixx looks so young in 1988. By the basis of their looks and the way they play, this concert was probably during year 2008.
The Fix are like U2 or like Tears for Fears they all are still alive and can still all play as original band members. AND are forever a tight playing band from day one. Cy has never had dance moves but he's interesting at best during his singing. lol
The reason why they are still good today is because they still seem to believe in their own lyrics. They treat none of their songs like something they’re forced to play. It’s too bad that so many people of my (now old) generation would rather spend mega $$ on tours by other, bigger name acts of the era that I will not name. You know, the people with one foot in the grave who don’t record any new material - or if they do, just literally phone it in and don’t even gather in studio. (I think you know who I’m talking about… but they got old)
Roger.... Activist sentimental music is deceased. Now it's all about how cute you are and how many dance moves you can do. Imagine how incredible it is that some of us care. Good to see u here!!!
I saw what you are talking about at the recent concerts of Suade and Bon Jovi. My observation to the causes to this is the singer can no longer hits the high notes so he let's the audience sing without him singing along with the audience.
Glad I got to catch this before departing farewell good people my golden chariot is here. This life sucked really bad. I can't believe I went this far. 🫶
How is it possible that this band just keeps getting better with each passing decade ???!!!###
@Tjs964 They recently performed here at The Norva/ a really nice converted theatre venue in Norfolk,VA/ tickets were $20 !!!###
@JohnnyNation , awesome! WOW, $20, not bad at all. I HAVVE to see them again. Tickets weren't bad at all when I saw them about 6 or 7 years ago.
They have been forgotten for some reason. The last intact 80s band.
Radio 📻 won’t play anyone over 25 or any new music.
The members of the band are the same as when they started, for one thing...
Most underrated band of the 80s.
YES!!!
I’ve always loved them. I saw them in ‘85. It’s great to see they’re still playing.💕They sound great!
That guitar 🎸 break during Red Skies is brilliant! 😮They sound modern now and before they sounded futuristic. They were ahead of their time.
I think they are time travelers who came back from the future.
One of my FAVORITE 80’s bands; one of my go-to jogging bands in a Sony Walkman, if you can believe it! Thank you for sharing.
Always something in their lyrics to bring about thought and feelings. The measure of what true art is.
Woman on a Train lyrics are amazing
What great and pleasant memories of 1983, what a great band, excellent music, they sound perfect, They don't have to force their songs for the world to like them, they enjoy them and sound like the 80s!! for sharing inspiring music...

so underrated. I love this band. ❤
1983 when I discovered the Fixx as a 15 year old playing soccer in Florida on an English football tour. Played shuttered room until it nearly wore out and bought and played everything they ever made since. Good on you boys 🇬🇧
Cy looks like he could star in an action-film.

The Fixx owned the 80's
YES!!!
I was there. Great show!
I've listened to One thing a thousand times and I never get the words right. Haha
I'm not alone here! 😂
I wish I
kept my albums I had from them back in the 80s. Love this band
Been listening since the 80s, love this band. My mate has just got us tickets for the London show. So looking forward to it.
Have fun! Hope to see videos of them in London. I saw them in Glenside, PA for 3 years in a row. I’ve been a fan for 40 years
you are still the same, Cy... still acting and singing so brilliant...
and my god, Ive never seen an audience like this, its amazing
Amazing- the same 5 original members
Getting better and better and better!!!!!!!
BIZARRE CY ...BUT I LIKE IT.👏👏👏👏❤ These guys got staying power. LOVE THE FIXX❤❤❤❤
Love the bizarre act! Keeps me watching- Especially since this is a recording.
Best band of the 80’s. And still AMAZING 40 years later :))))
100%
I saw them just down the road from where I live in Ojai, CA in July 2019. Best performance ever!
Just saw them in Norfolk, VA and... they... blew... me... away!
I was 15, listening to this album in Dortmund Germany, and it blew me off the map. How the hell did this group finish Shuttered Room with this most existential track? Damn The Fixx... they've been the aesthetic centerpiece of my life (and many others).
Omg me too!! The only difference is it literally blew by butthole out! 😅
1989 years. Donetsk. U.S.S.R. Album Walkabout.
LOVEE THE FIXX i have the privilege of seeing them live in Concert 1984 at Iguanas Tijuana B.C. Mexico brought by 91x local radio station at that time . . !!
Saw them tonight in Jersey small venue. Excellent 👍 show his voice is great
Gosh, they are still great! Cyyyyyyyyyy.
Saw them recently at the Cabot Theater in Beverly, Massachusetts. They were awesome.
Most underrated band of the 80'S, those guys are always originals, thoughtfuls and greats performers
100% /Yes!
Jamie's solo on "Deeper and Deeper" from the 1989 MTV Daytona Spring Break show is still one of my all-time favorites to this day. It just kills! The power chords at the end of the solo are iconic, and gives goosebumps every time!
What a band!!! Love to see them alive some day
Agree.
Saw them November 2023 in Clearwater, FL and they’re coming back next month (April 2024)!!!! They were fantastic and I can’t wait to see them again! ❤
Listen to the woman saving it by zero @ 38:37. Love The Fixx! 🤘🏻🤣🤘🏻
Love the FIXX
The fixx are a brilliant band, first single I heard was “Driven Out “ loved them since.
Great band brings back a lot 90’s memories
Best. Band. Ever.
Saw this show on Houston. Really enjoyed it.
It’s funny, you go to a show not knowing how much you needed to hear “Red Skies at Night” until the oh, oh, O, o, oh, ohhh’s come in.
Absolute troopers to this day. All i can hear is the audience talking all the way through the performance.
Love the dementor!
Jeez they sound good.
still got it..
Absolutely excellent!solid band!
This band is unreal...
Please for the love of God, The Fixx, make your albums available on Spotify and or iTunes.
THEY STILL SOUND GOOD.
❤The Fixx always.
Thanks for posting this! We have tickets to see them tonight at the Hard Rock Hotel - Orlando Velvet Sessions. They sound great! Should be a good show tonight. Cheers!

Cy is a great front man.
Everybody and their mothers uncle are out on tour now. 😂
😂😂😂
Was this the full set list?
No there were a few more songs
too bad we never saw the bass player and keyboard player perform on this video
It’s English caughron
😂Ar gali buti kas nors graziau.
No.

They are still good but nobody cares about Rock music anymore. Sadly it’s deader than a door nail.
Roger.... Activist sentimental music is deceased. Now it's all about how cute you are and how many dance moves you can do.
Imagine how incredible it is that some of us care.
Good to see u here!!!
I hate when bands play a hit song and the singer lets the crowd sing the chorus without singing it too
only happens with great songs and great bands
I saw what you are talking about at the recent concerts of Suade and Bon Jovi. My observation to the causes to this is the singer can no longer hits the high notes so he let's the audience sing without him singing along with the audience.
His voice sounds great, but it does not sound like the same songs, the music is so different. The drummer also sucks
that's the original drummer I'm pretty sure. Remember the band is not Megadeth and doesn't need to drum that way
The drummer is aging gracefully. Or would you prefer a drum machine?!
Glad I got to catch this before departing farewell good people my golden chariot is here. This life sucked really bad. I can't believe I went this far. 🫶
