I've ordered this game and am looking forward to playing it as soon as I can. I really love Flamme Rogue and anything in that vein is going to appeal to me. Thanks for the review!
Nicely made video. I’m very curious about this game. Every one seems to enjoy it, but they always mention the race being tight. To me that sounds like your choices don’t matter. Im worried it’ll simply be everyone in the same gear, flipping through a similar deck, until someone crosses the finish line and randomly did it first. Is there at least enough strategy in the game that your choices actually determine if you win or lose?
There is definitely strategy. If you played cards randomly you would lose every game. You need to think about how much heat to spend on corners and what other racers will do so you can steal a boost. It isn't super deep, but comparable to games like Flamme Rouge or El Dorado for sure.
The "or if you're Shawn" made me laugh. Can see myself also getting that wrong every time. I really want to try this but the price is killing me for a light game. Maybe catch it on sale in a year or two.
I physically can not remember to do this, I want to discard so bad. As for the price it is a bit tricky, because it feels like an expansion is included, but it also costs like an expansion is included.

Hope you like it!
I keep hearing all about this and even saw it being played at con. Seems like the perfect blend of light and strategy.
