We need to Decongest Mumbai and all the 6 Metros, by developing Tier 2 cities which have an exciting operational airport like Coimbatore, Vijayawada, Raipur, Jarsuguda, Gwalior etc and create local employement and stop migration to existing 6 metros.

Don't worry work has already started, Yogi ji is developing U.P., Currently we are making road infrastructure, once done we will make U.P. a economic superpower (as it should be), then probably Maharastra won't have to worry about population migration from U.P.
Virar has started to see a lot of new residential projects on the hopes of such projects, the ring road project is very ambitious, hope we get these done in this lifetime

Its a dream come true in few years to come. It will really cut down the travel time from Mumbai to Virar. I am happy that Devendra Phadnavis Ji has been sworn as C M of Maharashtra. The combination of Devendra and Narendra Bhai will definitely change the suburban road transportation.

6:00 Good to see the thought being given to bus services. Planning should include high capacity buses and space for bus stands. A bus from Nariman point to Virar every 30 seconds (or lesser) should be the target.
If you notice no bus lanes have been integrated in the coastal road. It's basically meant for the well-to-do. Not for the common mumbaikar.... Who has to continue suffering railway commute. Which by the way KILLS without fail 2000+ commuters every year.

These projects are great. However, if you ease traffic in the short term, it incentivises people to drive more and eventually leads to more traffic in the future. Without a world class public transit system, these are all just short term fixes.
Can't agree more. I think even the whole point of these roads being marketed and sold as solutions for decongestion, and assuming that it'll reduce carbon emission is a very temporary solution and a flawed perspective, if we consider the pro personal vehicle mindset of the society we are living in, eventually leading to more vehicles that people go on buying to opt for travel. 100 people in one mode of public transport vs 100 cars on one road, pretty serious issue. Also the impact that these projects are having on the coastal ecology is almost not even discussed anywhere.
wow some sane minds exist... exactly we need better public transport...new roads won't fix the traffic jams...but still its a much needed project just that more emphasis should be given to metro and other public transport infra
The problem that since Mumbai is an island it cannot grow horizontally is not a problem at all. Its an excuse by the politicians and builder nexus to build skyscrapers and coastal roads on expensive Mumbai land and even worse bridges in the ocean(e.g. Bandra-Worli sea link) to make quick and huge money at the expense of destroying nature (and its beauty), sane living in and sane development of Mumbai. The FSI must be fixed at 1or less and the height of buildings must be fixed at 98 feet or less both depending on the natural underground water-table level (this will control the population explosion and keep population at the right level/square km. Also this will prevent an already worldwide hazardous phenomenon called 'the sick building effect' which leads to death due to cancer, kidney failure, TB, chronic respiratory disorders amongst others. Uddav ayega phir projects chale jaenge... Meanwhile Fadnavis ke under already projects chale gaye hai. Future mai kya hoga kya pata, but present mai already projects gava diye na?
And as usual, they forgot about dedicated public transport services. A rail line alongside the road or via that route would have helped. But then not everyone can afford private trains!
Where's the space for all the rail infrastructure needed?? Where would the stations be placed? And why would you want rail when you can run busses for much cheaper?
These people don't have a word of criticism to highlight during those times when UBT Sena or any other government was ruling.. At least this government has foresight, and they have implemented infrastructure projects like Coastal Road, Atal Setu, Metro extension to other routes, etc, and reduced the travel time considerably..
Dedicated Local trains and the BEST public transport service are available all across the city; why do you need more of such ? Even if all private cars are shifted to these new roads, it will be so much ease to travel via public transport
Bullet train project should stop it's not useful for Maharashtra in any means..it's expensive being made for Gujarat to takeaway businesses from Maharashtra..it's the conspiracy of PM of Gujarat
Basic infrastructure facilities. Plz dont hail it. We deserve it. Free of cost. Raise your standards Mumbai. We will not live with substandard infrastructure
Versova and Bhayander are not economically important enough to have such an expensive coastal road. One cannot go on constructing big ticket projects everywhere.
The 1st phase of the Coastal should have been Kandivali to Bandra worli sea link. South Mumbai should have been done last. Major population lives in suburbs and not south mumbai. The traffic in western line is more between borivali and Bandra, after Bandra the traffic is still there but it eases out.
he clearly said that by building roads they can build more suburbs and provide bus facility for a cheap price. Also a metro/km costs 400cr in comparison to road costing 80cr/km. That is literally 5x per km, which will again benefit only those areas with a sizable population
Or else can they can also add a train line from marine lines to virar and in between stops as well this will also help in decongesting the local. Every year 2500 people die because of falling from locals
no body dies in ac local..may be time to switch..if u want to travel like cattle u will die like cattle..300-400 rs fr churchgate to virar fr a month is peanuts..u will get non comfort as gift..enjoy it or force govt to phase out non ac services,
Mumbai all project is working very slow...very slow...people facing so many problem..huge tarfice and huge pollution...and huge of population....piz sir all project to mumbai give in fast tracked...pizzzz
We are paying 12.5% on long term capital gain tax, more than 30% on income tax. And we expect that Mumbai and NCR region should be world class region. Free of everything that we are suffering in rest of india. We are 5000 years old proud civilization and we can easily spend this generation earning to beautify this 2 region. They are the poster child of india. If this 2 ares got proper infrastructure then it will create positive impact on world media and more more foreign investment will come to india that will ultimately benefits whole country.
So true, it really takes ages to get in Virar, it's like distance between North pole and South Pole. AC Local trains should be increased by Indian Railways
Why dont start the project from Virar to Versova .... Its takes decades to complete a project by the time something reach to Vasai- Virar region ... No metro yet No Coastal Road yet but we have all the crowd and only One mode of transport !!!
Rail costs more, and it's much harder to plan. Rail needs to be well integrated into the existing public transport system, unfortunately that's not possible. Look at the mumbai metro, it just doesn't connect any other public lines
Connecting to existing public transport system is what is a part of planning such infrastructure. Mumbai metro isn't connecting properly and that's poor planning, and that's why there needs to be a proper planning commission and also feedback from local residents on those plans. None of these are happening and so it's better to plan it properly. And if you are planning, then it's better to have a long term plan, with long term strategy than short term plans like roads, which will require regular maintenance considering the road construction quality is not up to the highest standards.
All & everything built super fast & that looks great are in South Mumbai & being built for the convenience of South Mumbai residents. What about suburbs beyond South Mumbai ? Just vote bank, is it? What infra development in the suburbs further North of Mumbai ? Why is that even the few metro projects in these suburbs are being built at such a *slow* pace ? Even the infra built in these areas over the last decade or two look ugly & lack aesthetics, lack ease of use n access & are not well planned. Does this coastal road have links to *good* roads in those suburbs ? Thane- Navi Mumbai lack quick access to Airports & Long distance Railways. Roads are low quality & full of pot holes *+* badly managed & prone to accidents. Random constructions are coming up without thought to roads , drainage & availability of water . *And* Thane is the constituency of CM Shinde !
@Aj1-u7z Something happening where & for whom? The Politicians & the rich people of South Mumbai ? Average common people are what- Cattle class? They don't deserve anything good & must live with their struggles , is that the Govt's thinking?
@@Aj1-u7z Smthing is happening where & for whom? Only for the top Politicians & the rich who live in South Mumbai ? What abt the people who live in the suburbs further North of Mumbai & in Navi Mumbai ? Are they cattle class who deserve just about average or below average in terms of infra, facilities & amenities ? And that Govt thinking is acceptable to common people ? Really ?
mumbai needs more public train infrastructure like metro and rrts ( modernised version of intercity trains ) like they are building in delhi ncr other than roads because if govt increase roads by x amount the cars increase by 3x or 5x amount
If MVIA comes to power then it would be next to impossible to implement these kinds of projects.. Opposition must change their mindset and try to think for the public easy of commute instead of focusing on taunting previous gov and their projects.
BS Best solution is ti get the public transport in order. If one has to wait for 30-45min for a bus then people in the maximum city, where time is the essence, then people will think of owning their own personal vehicle.
Doesn't matter if you make bridges or underground tunnel ways. Mumbai' traffic can never be decongested! A true Mumbaikar will agree to this. Mumbai is an overpopulated city!
Instead spending millions of dollars in building road, bridge, tunnel, transfer all the industries factory to areas after virar and set a labour city in boisar so that all the mazdur worker will not enter mumbai, shift the capital to pune so that all the government officers will migrate there all the service center warehouse and repair center to harbour lines so that western areas congestion will remove and build a remote city outside munbai and provide good connectivity so that the poor people will leave mumbai
This the very reason why you should vote progressive and democratic parties like BJP and its allies ... on the contrary you should and must keep yourself from parties like NCP and Congress who take residence of vote jihad for coming to power ... be wise and vote wisely
The only way to reduce the traffic and help the commuters is also having a metro or sky train on the same route working in parallel ! Every common man is not going to get a car and afford to pay ₹500 of toll for this…! This will work for a few years and then eventually it will get congested too… Look at the Mumbai Pune highway… The old highway was enough at the start, but then it started getting congested then we got the expressway, which was fine for the first few years but now it gets congested too… Building new bigger roads and highways is just not a permanent solution… reducing the number or cars and finding alternative modes of public transport is what will help in the long term.
The problem is this- people will NOT reward the govt that planned and executed this within record time. Therefore that govt will resort to populism…. ₹1500 for this and ₹3000 for that…. People don’t learn!!
Typical mindset..... Majority of Mumbaikar donot own vehicles. Yet more roads are being built. No problem with that But couldn't they have built an additional railway to connect with the suburbs. The metro lines are bits n peices of connectivity. The horror of work commute for the common Mumbaikar is taking a toll on their lives n productivity. This is the sad story of India's development mentality. Looks like all facilities are being made for the haves only. 😢
I don’t believe it’s advisable to spend such a significant amount of money on the coastal road project. As a long-time resident of Virar, where my family has lived for over 1,100 years, I can say with certainty that the more pressing need is an extension of the Link Road from Dahisar to Virar. Here’s a practical proposal: A road from Dahisar D-Mart, running parallel to the railway line, connecting to Bhayander ROB. From there, an underground passage heading north of Bhayander Station, followed by a sea bridge linking Naigaon, Vasai, Vasai East, and Nala Sopara East. This would form a robust 4x2 lane corridor, making much more sense for addressing traffic and connectivity issues. Additionally, we urgently need the 5th and 6th suburban rail tracks for faster and more efficient rail transport. Spending on this costly coastal road project does not make sense for 99.5% of the people. Resources should be allocated to infrastructure that benefits the majority.
In my childhood, when I learnt that Mumbai is the financial hub of India, I imagined the city to look like how it is shown in the video. Later(maybe 7 yrs back), when I searched Mumbai on google, I was shocked to see how poorly it looked. Now it is looking like how I imagined it back then. Congress truly fucked up our country.
Ok roads are for people who can afford a car and are rich, what about people who don't have a car and depend on public transport , Who will improve local train , metro and best buses conditions ?
Kabhi to aakh kholke dekh. There's dedicated bus lanes. BEST just got a massive infusion of money to buy newer buses - Diesel and eletric. Metros are getting built with a lot of speed. Slums are getting redeveloped, poor are finally getting decent housing after 40 years. 40 years of folks like you crying "Think of the poor" extended the misery of poverty for the rest of us.
Wow! That sounds like a plan. Thanks MMRDA and the Government of Maharastra.

@@radhajadhav7303 Great Analysis..

Why can't the versova to bhayendar have a coastal road like in South mumbai which is beautiful ?
It’s costly?
Youll be the one complaining about tolls?
Versova and Bhayander are not economically important enough to have such an expensive coastal road. One cannot go on constructing big ticket projects everywhere.
The 1st phase of the Coastal should have been Kandivali to Bandra worli sea link. South Mumbai should have been done last. Major population lives in suburbs and not south mumbai. The traffic in western line is more between borivali and Bandra, after Bandra the traffic is still there but it eases out.
Time 5:44 Roads 🛣
Time 5:52 Metro 🚇
When will it be completed 2030 ❓️
Maharashtra government is working for car lobby instead of expanding public transport they're making useless projects to benefit these lobbies.
he clearly said that by building roads they can build more suburbs and provide bus facility for a cheap price. Also a metro/km costs 400cr in comparison to road costing 80cr/km. That is literally 5x per km, which will again benefit only those areas with a sizable population
Metro kis car company ke liye banrahe hai phir
@arthas7 car lobby mein saari car companies hai sirf ek nahi. Itni dimaag nahi hai.
Or else can they can also add a train line from marine lines to virar and in between stops as well this will also help in decongesting the local. Every year 2500 people die because of falling from locals
Or else? why not both? why such a negative thought?
no body dies in ac local..may be time to switch..if u want to travel like cattle u will die like cattle..300-400 rs fr churchgate to virar fr a month is peanuts..u will get non comfort as gift..enjoy it or force govt to phase out non ac services,

Free of everything that we are suffering in rest of india. We are 5000 years old proud civilization and we can easily spend this generation earning to beautify this 2 region. Why dont start the project from Virar to Versova .... Its takes decades to complete a project by the time something reach to Vasai- Virar region ... No metro yet No Coastal Road yet but we have all the crowd and only One mode of transport !!!
Has 3rd mumbai construction started ?
Should have built train line instead of road..
It takes few seconds to say this, will take decades to complete. Couple of generations later people will enjoy these facilities
Good content 💯
Also, all of these projects could've been train networks rather than roads, so more public transportation and more decongestion.
It is still need of time to heavily invest in building infrastructure of indian metrocities in order to cater the huge population.
You are 70 years late for asking these questions.Be happy that something is happening.

@@aosaeanor Metro is being constructed for the common people.Adaani is improving the slums.
Bhai bus route bhi jaldi bana dijiye please Nariman point to virar
Building more roads doesn't solve problems. Spreading business infrastructure to tier 2 cities and developing train infrastructure in mumbai will.
Please Count Virar in Mumbai, as all the Mumbaikar are staying in Virar
bandra to versova 17 kms?? you sure ?
I hope these projects dont get delayed
Sir why vasai naigaon and virar project is too much delayed
mumbai needs more public train infrastructure like metro and rrts ( modernised version of intercity trains ) like they are building in delhi ncr other than roads because if govt increase roads by x amount the cars increase by 3x or 5x amount
Extend it to Palghar and beyond on entire Gujarat western coastline. Why not?
Hopefully the roads are good quality. Coastal road already has potholes :(
👍
If MVIA comes to power then it would be next to impossible to implement these kinds of projects..
Opposition must change their mindset and try to think for the public easy of commute instead of focusing on taunting previous gov and their projects.
But hiten thakur denied this who is the current sitting mla of vasai - virar , am i right? I am not sure
BS
Best solution is ti get the public transport in order.
If one has to wait for 30-45min for a bus then people in the maximum city, where time is the essence, then people will think of owning their own personal vehicle.
Absolutely un necessary.
Why no focus and plans for the existing railway line which is currently subhuman?
What about speed limit limitations?
Making big infra to gift it to lord varuna one day😂😂
this 20th vote for development..✌
What about train between nariman point to Virar......30 lakhs people travelling.....
Good information
Is it rain proof or will it get flooded
ofcourse it will get flooded....
जय हिन्द जय भारत। जय मुंबई। मोदी योगी, देवेंद्र फडणवीस, एकनाथ शिंदे जी कि जब हो।
Hope the mess called Mumbai (Bombay) is not revisited in MMR and time for Mantralaya to be permanently shifted to the second capital Nagpur
Poor research by the people who made this video: Virar is NOT the last station on the western line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway. It is Dahanu Road.
Till now the eastern express was a two lane highway beyond thane one of major road leading to Mumbai🤦♂️
❤❤🎉🎉save time
Lofty promises, only talks about SOBO connectivity. Thane roads and connectivity to NH48 and NH 160 Ahmedabad are far from completion.
Why it is call virar??? It is to be call Arnala and not virar.🎉
Doesn't matter if you make bridges or underground tunnel ways. Mumbai' traffic can never be decongested! A true Mumbaikar will agree to this. Mumbai is an overpopulated city!
Who is this Gentleman ?
Instead spending millions of dollars in building road, bridge, tunnel, transfer all the industries factory to areas after virar and set a labour city in boisar so that all the mazdur worker will not enter mumbai, shift the capital to pune so that all the government officers will migrate there all the service center warehouse and repair center to harbour lines so that western areas congestion will remove and build a remote city outside munbai and provide good connectivity so that the poor people will leave mumbai
Finally fuck I am tired of traveling 2-3 hrs from Virar to sobo
This the very reason why you should vote progressive and democratic parties like BJP and its allies ... on the contrary you should and must keep yourself from parties like NCP and Congress who take residence of vote jihad for coming to power ... be wise and vote wisely
Modi 3.0 is doing good 👍🏻
This is only for the rich, not for the common man
The only way to reduce the traffic and help the commuters is also having a metro or sky train on the same route working in parallel ! Every common man is not going to get a car and afford to pay ₹500 of toll for this…!
This will work for a few years and then eventually it will get congested too…
Look at the Mumbai Pune highway…
The old highway was enough at the start, but then it started getting congested then we got the expressway, which was fine for the first few years but now it gets congested too…
Building new bigger roads and highways is just not a permanent solution… reducing the number or cars and finding alternative modes of public transport is what will help in the long term.
The problem is this- people will NOT reward the govt that planned and executed this within record time. Therefore that govt will resort to populism…. ₹1500 for this and ₹3000 for that…. People don’t learn!!
Some info about map and route is inaccurate
Typical mindset.....
Majority of Mumbaikar donot own vehicles.
Yet more roads are being built. No problem with that
But couldn't they have built an additional railway to connect with the suburbs.
The metro lines are bits n peices of connectivity.
The horror of work commute for the common Mumbaikar is taking a toll on their lives n productivity.
This is the sad story of India's development mentality.
Looks like all facilities are being made for the haves only. 😢
add then toll amount
It will take 10 years to complete this project.
I don’t believe it’s advisable to spend such a significant amount of money on the coastal road project.
As a long-time resident of Virar, where my family has lived for over 1,100 years, I can say with certainty that the more pressing need is an extension of the Link Road from Dahisar to Virar.
Here’s a practical proposal:
A road from Dahisar D-Mart, running parallel to the railway line, connecting to Bhayander ROB.
Who needs roads, i love freebies. Jai Gandhu family.
I would appreciate if humansA replace politicians with AI🤐 SO BETTER DECISIONS CAN BE made…
@eci are u sleeping?
BJP really sounds like Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas
Hope uddhav does not come in power 🤞🏼
😂😂😂 uddhav is coming back. All will be put in black box . And it will start again in 2047 😂😂
Improve the local trains
Why this video is been made before the elections 😂😂
40 minutes after 40 years..
Bet the road won't last more than a month.
Good.. should have been done 10 years ago..will take another 10 years minimum. Pointless. Mumbai is an Overhyped city of India.
Look at the price you pay on the Atal Setu bridge
All depends up on density of traffic. The human and vehiclea population in Mumbai is disaster and no infrastructure can sustain for that.
Make BEST buses great again! Ignoring public transportation will just bring more congestion to any additional roads.
Vite for bjp if u want development. Even my muslim friends gonna vote for bjp
These projects will just create bottlenecks and create more traffic
We have such idiots heading planning departments 🤡
Ok roads are for people who can afford a car and are rich, what about people who don't have a car and depend on public transport , Who will improve local train , metro and best buses conditions ?
they r also getting improved look in the news dumb
Kabhi to aakh kholke dekh. There's dedicated bus lanes. BEST just got a massive infusion of money to buy newer buses - Diesel and eletric. Metros are getting built with a lot of speed. Slums are getting redeveloped, poor are finally getting decent housing after 40 years. 40 years of folks like you crying "Think of the poor" extended the misery of poverty for the rest of us.
Now owning a car is rich? These kinds of outdated thinking must stop. Lol.
Roads can also run electric buses in future, that are affordable. Think positive
BJP is already doing it. Projects delayed for 3 yrs of MVA. Causing huge delays and financial losses.
MSRTC is building bridge lol
The level of journalism is worse in India
So when is India going to fund its own infra projects? Aatmanirbhar when?
