The problem with the album for me is that it's TOO good. Everytime I listen to a song I end up wanting to listen to the whole album. It's actually a weird problem to have.

It definitely is his Thriller. I love that he had Quicy Jones on here too. It's that subtle link to Micheal Jackson's Thriller that's so genius.

The production on this is crazy! I found out he sampled Out of Time from a Japanese citypop song called Midnight Pretenders by Tomoko Aran.
And he said this album is part of a trilogy, so I can’t wait for his future projects.
This has to be one of his best work. For ppl who are in love wit the 80s this is top tier

The Michael Jackson comparison on “Take My Breath” was my first reaction as well. The pre-chorus is very similar to “Thriller’s” pre-chorus in vocal rhythm.

I think you’re review is great. The only thing that caused me to question anything was your left headphone earcup being off your ear…how did you not miss the left channel sound from the whole album? Are you not missing half the mix? Mixes are not necessarily parallel.
good question. No I heard everything. i really didn’t need the headphones to hear . they were there strictly just make sure nothing was peaking. the actual music was being played from a speaker out loud into a mic recording simultaneously.

did you get to a concert?!! He was amazing when I saw him, but I didn't realize he was touring a whole other album at the same time... I was expecting Dawn FM straight through and was extremely disappointed, lmao. But still an amazing vocalist live absolutely no regrets going
