after over 500 plus hours into StarField, I have to say I still enjoy the game As a modder, I do hope they release a creation kit soon. I will note that way back in Sept 2023 when I first started playing SF I almost quit. I was so fed up with the first space fight. I kept blowing up. But I always play a game for at least 8 hours. Found I had trouble with the controls not being set correctly in steam and also it was on the hard game settings. But now its all fun.
Glad to hear you're having fun with it now!
I believe the reason it's taking so long to get the creation kit out is because it's new and they're trying to prefect it for modders.
I have heard some rumors that some modders do currently have access to an early version of it but I can't verify that, sadly
Learning curve innit. I had to turn the difficulty down for ship to ship combat until i got the hang of it.
I can't wait for the CK as well. I've already used xEdit to make some custom changes to some skill requirements.
Agreed. I really had a rough 10 hours, but lately it's felt a lot more intuitive. Maybe it's a lot of change to what people took for granted in previous games or similar games.
@@jacobj2990 the keyboard controls for starfield will give any man carpal tunnel. The controller controls are much better (though I swapped y and b for jump). Better would be a mmo mouse with 6 or 12 thumb buttons. But anyway, reorganising controls is the first thing one does in industrial applications. It's as if parts of the game were designed to put the player in an industrial environment.
Completely agree with on everything here mate!
I've done 13 NG+ runs on my 1st character, I've now started my second one & I'm still happy to be exploring.
However... I'd be pretty happy just for q few more home & outpost decorations before Shattered space.
Yeah it's not a game changing amount of content but I'd be satisfied with just that to tide me over 😂
Especially since i can't seem to pull myself away from this bloody game!
The ship and base builder, I wish they would expand that! Honestly wish they would add some different missions which make use of the modules (example infirmary). The bases having a little more outpost feel with maybe randoms showing up will be interesting.
I absolutely love this game! And I'm very grateful for the bug fixes. However I do understand people who say there's a lack of content I still play a lot but I'm mostly searching for something new to do, a new side quest, a unique POI, or maybe a rare space encounter. So I am hoping for some new content soon, maybe this will include some more stories and lore to discover.
Try Baulders gate 3.
For the love of God, please fix the empty ship bug. It has caused me to just stop playing.
This is my biggest complaint! It also buggs up the Matters of the Hart quest.
Yeah, that’s good point! I did tried many times to storm on Vurran starships ! 😑🙄🤦♂️🤷♂️
Continuing to love your Starfield commentary and updates and all your positive content! Please keep up the great work!
Thanks so much for the kind words! No worries, I plan to cover Starfield for as long as I can :)
Can’t wait for new ways of travel. Really excited to see what Bethesda is cooking up. And that’s just vanilla, not including what modders can do. Tbh, I think quality of life is what is going to make the game feel and play better and make it more enjoyable as opposed to just new content
This is the best RPG of all time. People have simply forgot what it is, so they whine.
I wouldn't say it's the best RPG ever but it's a top 10 for me, for sure! :)
I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it that much though!!
I just want the damn creation kit. These clowns are taking their sweet time. I like the game, but it's insane how it took six months to fix quest blocking bugs. We still have no clue what "new ways to travel" means. I at the point where I don't expect to see anything of significance until the silly June showcase because Aaron Greenburg is garbage at marketing.
They're working on fixing as much as possible. The game still has a lot of minor and even some major bugs.
I think it's important for them to fix this stuff before releasing the creation kit, that way they won't have to update as much once everybody is using mods. I think it's a good strategy.
Either way, it won't be long as I've heard some modders already have access to an early creation kit.
I gotta say im not a fan of the update, but i do still hold out hope that they'll keep trying to make this game better. I want to one day play this game when it has more content available, but bug/lighting fixes and photo mode isnt cutting it just yet
Mate I have to be honest, I was SOOO excited for this game. The most excited I've been about any game since Skyrim.
When it came out I was buzzing. Played it non stop for two weeks. Then, gradually, I started to see the gaps. I lost interest, that hasn't happened for me with a Bethesda RPG before. Constant load screens, lack of choice & consequence, all the companions being goody two shoes, base building that just falls completely flat (my own turrets were shooting my own companions, lack of pod variation, rarely get attacked even in high level systems). Everyone was complaining it was barren yet, I was most frustrated by the fact I couldn't land on a single planet that WAS barren. There was ALWAYS some generated building identical to the last. I WANTED some planets to be empty but there's no such thing in the game.
In 2-3 years time, for me, the game will most likely be playable. For now? Just seems like there's too much missing. They've done a bit of everything but not enough of the things that make Bethesda such a great dev team. Just my opinion. Glad to see they're adding more and more features!😀
Baulders gate 3
On Xbox the game was starting to get boring so I got a pc for the mods and the game got much better they need to get mods on Xbox or people will move on
New game+ needs to be more meaningful. Not being able to reroll your character traits.....
Congrats on 10k!!! Can't wait for this update!
Thank you dude!
Means a lot coming from my very first subscriber haha
I would like to see a greater variety in the random outposts, caves, pirate bases ect. It's a little disappointing to loot a bunch of pirate bases on one planet then move to a completely different planet in a different system and end up raiding the exact same pirate bases.
I have identified 109 different location names.

Hey man, was wondering where do you keep finding this new content in the game. I hear some other people taking about it but like I don’t understand where you look. I’ve been to dozens of systems and barley find any new content
Just exploring. I'm currently trying to 100% every system so you just come across stuff.
I'd also suggest just talking to any named NPCs and reading all the new books you find :)
Good to see some positivity in the community, that said just give us damn mods, they managed to release Skyrim SE with mods from the start on consoles, they have no excuse to not do the same here, especially when mods are such a large selling point for Bethesda, I just hope the game doesn’t die on consoles before that happens
Over 800 hours in and still finding new things. I found a new quest just the other day to plant an olive seed in new Atlantis. Nothing exciting but still something new for me. Also, this game is only 6 months old and they are working on content.
I’m over 1000hrs in now, and I’ve never hit that mark for a game before. The ship builder has me hooked. Started even doing my own tutorials outside of work lol
Hopefully we get a good amount of ship parts and optimizations sooner than later. I’m not done exhausting everything there is to do in it but it would be nice.
I just don't understand why they can't add stealth finishers? This game is perfect for stealth. Throwing knives, something..
Going to be great!
Darn… I too love taking photos of every moment, landscapes, goofy stuff, like my character standing next to a dead pirate who was still standing… I didn’t think I’d say it, but I miss this game immensely. Especially capturing all those moments…
Recently my PC has proven unable to handle it and a bunch of other games I’ve enjoyed playing, so my adventures will end for the foreseeable future until I get a better PC… Starfield May be severely flawed but, I can say I did not stop playing the game because of the game itself, but my PC.
My second most played Bethesda Game… hopefully the bugs I ran into are gone, and maybe holsters and mundane animations are added in when I do come back… I hated and loved this game! The content was enough for me, and leveling was fun too! I can’t wait to come back…
Sucks to hear that your PC struggles to run it! Same with mine tbh, my PC is horrible which is why my main character is on my xbox.
I appreciate you watching the vid regardless. Here's hoping you get to play again soon!
I just want the CK. As hopefully it will fix several of the moddability issues Starfield currently has.
I enjoyed the game for over 600 hrs in it's first month, I just couldn't stay attached because of the amount of duplicate POI's, and other such issues with the core gameplay loop.
I never cared for the bugs, they don't bother me, as none of them significantly hindered my ability to play other than the savegame formids problem that was recently fixed.
I hear people complain that these are small but honestly remember that Xbox will NOT get SFSE, and some of these things like new interaction buttons (Eat, interacting with the scanner open) require things like DLLs in some mods but they are getting added into the game engine.
I am hoping that the big team are working on content in the background. Starfield feels like something that Bethesda actually wants to expand the stories on. So when people say they have maybe one great example of a quest well done, I honestly think BGS is taking that feedback back to the quest design teams for future content. If they're NOT doing that they are seriously missing out.
I finally uninstalled Starfield after over 1600hrs in game because the patches released do not fix most of the issues I had previously fixed with mods long ago and hoping the mod community will for free continually update their mods to be update compliant was silly. maybe I'll revisit it in 2-5yrs when they finally release the creation kit, dlcs and final monetization patch, you know it's coming sooner or later.
What’s the 2 hour questline you found?
I have over 1000 hours and finally did my first full survey of a habitable planet found my first aquatic life for me it just made me love the game more. So much to discover. I just hope they fix the ship issue that places a landing ship underneath the environment breaking the save file.
While more content might be nice… I would prefer to see quality of life done first. Glitches, bugs, and the horrendously low amount of money each vendor has. Add to this inability to upgrade things - armor, weapons, etc.. and yeah. As it sits, I see no reason to use any of the starborn armor. Same w the ship.
I would like the loading screens to go away, and yes i like the game but the loading screens when you enter a ship than get ou of the planet then travel to another star system and loading again to land on a planet🤬
I just really want mods for console. I still have not even finished the game. still waiting for mods to make it way more fun.
I could careless about a photo mode update...:P Just keep fixing bugs and make the game better.
Ofc they should b doin new content its over 6 month since release and we supposed b getting mods 6month after release and yet we still no nothing
So glad BGS is putting in work before DLC. Can’t wait for more Starfield!
Great video!! Hey congrats on 10k man its a huge milestone!
Thanks mate!
Would rather see the Starfield Creation Kit so better Mods can be created.
I’ve been enjoying this game can’t wait for more updates and bug fixes
Refunded CP but starfield is content complete? Lol
As soon as you said i dont like negativity and you like to stat positive. I subscribed
HOW ABOUT SOME NIGHT VISION EQUIPMENT? The year is 2330 and the helmets don't have night vision? No scopes with NV? SOMETHING!
That’s excellent point on that one! It should have been in Starfield!
I really hope that they might add magazines in the future to so you can get weapon skins I feel one thing they can do is make it to where for example once you get unique weapons that have a unique skin like the buzzcut or acid rain than you can add it to all weapons of that type like since those are both grendels once you get a higher level Grendel you can apply that skin to it
Is there news for starfield Creation Kit/mod support for xbox series x
my shit just updated and I can't launch my mf sfse loader, I scream into the blackest sea but no one can hear...
Congrats on 10k light. Quality, positive starfield content!
Thank you! :)
Mod support. That’s the only gameplay feature that I really want. I don’t even care much about the dlc at this point. The main game already has enough content imo. The mods are what is going to make Starfield, the way they made the previous games, but it is just taking sooo long. I understand the bug fixes, but it doesn’t change that the game isn’t what we thought it was going to be, and the closest we can come to fixing that is mod support. I spent about 100hrs the first couple of weeks trying to get into it, and while it has a lot of main line content, I would really like to see mods fix how similar the procedural elements feel. It’s the same 10-15 locations copy and pasted across hundreds of “unique and interesting” worlds. The game looks beautiful, I just wish I felt the same way about the gameplay. Plus a mod to change the way the temples look would be great too. Going to the same temple over and over gets old very quick. But as much crap I give the game. I truly can’t wait to see its progress over the next year or so. I just hope mod support is one of the things that we get in the following update instead of just a few more QOL improvements and bug fixes. For being Bethesda’s “least buggy” launch, it sure is taking a lot of bug fixes to actually get to the updates the we’ve all been waiting for. Half a year later and we still don’t have a road map for officially mod support. There really isn’t much of an excuse for this. Not saying the game has no potential, but it’s taking an unprecedented amount of time to get to the good stuff. And a few QOL improvements just feels a bit lazy at this point. If we’re getting QOL improvements, I’d like to see a dozen or more in one update. But it’ll likely be mod support that makes me consider redownloading the game again, but at the moment. 76 brings me more enjoyment tbh, and it’s modless. But it also took many years to improve, so it’s only fair to see what Starfield can do with a year or two of updates.
Also I understand updates will brake mods. But I feel modders are rather consistent with updates as well. I’m willing to start a new modded playthrough every other month, that’s what I normally did on fallout 4 anyway. I’ll just keep one vanilla save to actually 100% the game with.
Still no mod support for console players
OH YEA BABY NEW CONTENT IS ROLLING OUT
My ship still duplicating all my miscellaneous stuff whenever I change something on my ship in the shipbuilder menue, filling up prechious cargospace with crap. Now that would have been nice to get a bugfix for. But hey, now I can make a funny face when it happens in photomode. ;)
Oh sweet! 2 days away
My save file has like 140 hrs plus logged in. I loved the game and was a fantastic BGS game, but I do agree that a lot of updates and expansions need to be implemented as well as mods. I hope that they will deliver on all of this and bring people back to the game
I've got 500+ hrs as well in starfield. I think the devs don't get the credit they took into making the game. I love starfield
I just got over 200 hours and I'm thinking about trying to get 100% achievements really fun so far trying to get all the skills and find new things
Great Video !
Thank you!
I'm going to be torn on photomode, I love in game photos but I still get much better photos using Toggle Flight Cam, I even inport my flight cam photos into the game files to get the loading screens. expressions could lean me towards photomode.
I hope they add a mech suit or some sort since there is lore about mech battle. I would love to land on a planet and blast things while controlling it. Even a land buggy would be cool but make it slow due to gravity.
Will they get better rattler gun
This is great news! I recently played the game after a break and came across a filed of giant mechs with guns. I'm really hoping we all get to see them come into the game and hopefully fight against them or have some to use. Both things would be great!
xbox mods would be amazing
I picked the right time to jump back into the game. Expressions in photo mode is a wonderful addition. Need more Fabulous Outfits Content added to the game.
W updates on starfield
Visual photography...as opposed to scent photography, or audio photography? :)
Need a prone mode. Expecially for low gravity environments where going prone takes its time
This games story is wild.
Probably the best main story of Bethesda games I’ve played so far.
I just started Morrowind couple days ago.
If this is the best "story" that they made, then thats just sad lmfao
Not being able to interact with the scanner active was/is annoying.
I’m on NG+10
thanks for the info i really want the i cant sit unless i shoot my seat bug fixed
So just steam and not xbox? 😢
Great content as usual. I can't help but feel that these updates coming at a 6 week pace is doing more harm than good. I am playing with mods on pc, and every update means waiting until SFSE gets an update. I think it would be better for the longevity of the game if they compiled all their fixes and dropped it at once, either just before or alongside Shattered Space. As it stands now, I can't really commit to a playthrough, because every couple of weeks my modlist will be broken. I get that this is my own problem for having mods (and not Bethesda's responsibility), but surely they knew this would happen.
I completely understand your point but I must disagree myself. The game is only a few months old and they'll be updating it consistently for at least a few years.
This is why I always wait a couple of years to mod Bethesda games. You can't really blame them for updating their game, especially considering most people don't use mods! :)
@@Light-YT A fair point, it's certainly not the same as Bethesda updating games that are already years old. I definitely agree that it's my own problem considering most people don't use mods. I think personally I'll probably just wait for the major updates to be out of the way before I really get back into Starfield.
I hope they increase the size of ships you can build (vanilla game) either length or width. Or both. And add in maore variants of ship parts. Or some new manufacturers. Even a ship scrap yard where you can get cheap used parts maybe
The ship scrapyard sounds kinda good!
On various planets/moons or even a starstation?
@eMtotheeF exactly. There's always ship scrap yards in space movies, so why not in games? And maybe different scrap yards on different planets are run by different factions 🤷
It’s exciting to see that this game hasn’t been abondoned
I can't even get an hour into starfield without it crashing
Try Baulders gate 3
@@JasonFlake-op1ll can't get into it
@@andrewdavis7794 we'll play Fortnite then.
@@JasonFlake-op1ll fuck that
@@andrewdavis7794 There's some hope for you yet.
Todd’s dream game as a boy
Todd must of dreamed very big as a child because this game is absolutely gargantuan and AMAZING
im going to wait a few years, hope bethesda update the game more akin to something like no mans asky rather than older bethesda titles; and hope someone makes a predefined galaxy mod. I think when looking back, stafields biggest weakness will be viewed as their utilisation of proc gen. The actual tech itself is impressive but it's not there yet to have the majority of your game based on it.
