Yes, its good to have empty spaces! As you declutter and let go you will have more space and can go back through and organize spaces like that lower drawer. I highly encourage letting go of craft supplies you don't ever see yourself using...the jewelry perhaps? I am going to work on my desk area this week...as we wrap up the first half of the year! 😮
Unsure of the jewel making stuff but I’m sure by the end of summer I most likely will get rid of it . Sometimes it just takes a few “look sees” before I make a decision. Doing what is easier now, hard stuff later!
@@Myeverydaywifelife Definitely understand needing to process what really stays and goes! No pressure from me. And yes, starting with the easier sure helps!!
Hi Michelle, I'm sorry that I missed the Premiere...I was caught up in things!! You did a nice job getting things out of your craft room. I have a little container of mini clothespins, too! Lol
You were cracking me up asking yourself why you had stuff. 😂 I did the exact same thing when I cleaned out my craft stuff! I don’t know why I had soooo much random stuff. The only thing I can think of was for my preschool class or something like that. Everything looks so good! I need to do some organizing on my desk today.
Ha yes! I think sometimes I bought something thinking it’s cute I can make something with that??? Umm no only but something for a specific purpose we have in mind!!! Right? Working on that.
My sewing room is tidy, however I have a drawer in the laundry room full of miscellaneous items that I need to organize! Paint brushes, pruners, twine, hot glue gun, etc… 😎 Your drawer decluttering may have inspired me… 😎🌷 It’s so true - no matter how much space we have, we will fill it! 😂
Enjoyed the premiere chat! ▫️You did a lot. Goodwill drop. Declutter round through your craft room. ▫️I think the shapermint wear would make me feel hot. You don’t feel too warm with it on? Maybe not since you said you’ve been feeling cold lately. ▫️Whenever I’m leaving to run a few errands - hubby waits until I’m on my way out the door to ask me to run 1-3 errands for him. On Tuesday it was 3. ▫️I haven’t used a blow dryer on my hair in years. In fact, I should probably throw out my blow dryer. It’s from the 80s or 90s. ▫️I should send you my before pic of my craft supply closet. It’s crazy out of hand. Maybe that will move it up on my project list. ▫️Remember when we did the Drawer Declutter Challenge. That was July 2020. I have 57 drawers in 9 spaces. I go through them all every year. Right now - I know of things stored in drawers that I’m ready to pitch.
@@authenticallyamber99 I’m weird like that. 😎 I count things. I keep a list. I find it interesting. ▫️Cabinets = 20 in 4 spaces ▫️Closets = 8 (including a walk-in pantry) ▫️Door Knobs. 28 ▫️Switch Plates 13 ▫️Windows 21 + 2 Glass Storm Doors ▫️Doors. Interior room 6, exterior access 3, sliding closet doors 2 sets, bathroom linen closets 2, pantry 1. ✳️ I’ve counted most of the items in our home by category. Weird huh? ✳️ Why? Partly as a cleaning self-challenge. “How long will it take to clean/sanitize all 28 doorknobs and 13 switch plates?” And, for counting possessions (inventory) - asking myself “how much is enough?”
I've been thinking about my supplies lately and trying to figure out what is reasonable and what is currently important. My current hobbies are TH-cam, a little crotcheting, gardening is big, and I am trying to grow in the sewing department. TH-cam takes very little in terms of supplies, I have a gooseneck phone holder and a couple extra phones. I downsized my yarn because Im not crotcheting as much, and if I didnt like the feel of it or my kids dont like the feel of it, no point in keeping it. And I expanded and organized garden and sewing storage so stuff is easier to get to. Gardening right by the front door, sewing next to my chair or in my room near my fabric stashes. Quilting is a future project so Im hanging onto some of Grandmothers stuff for that, but we'll see once we get done quilting the quilt that she and Mom had worked on. If we dont like quilting we can destash some of those tools.
See?… I watch your videos and I’m suddenly feeling energized to get stuff done! But, I don’t want to get too distracted from my planned tasks. Nair legs, vacuum and pack for my sister retreat. Relaxing Epsom Salt soak bath.▫️Today is Sunday and I usually do a Sunday Reset & Household Refills. I’m doing a short version of the reset. And, nothing needs refilled this week.
No worries! When you are ready! I wish I could help you but if you are anything like me you just rather do it yourself lol! Have it the way you want it!!! 😬
Very nice craft room thank you so much for sharing. I would never let anybody see my office. It’s such a mess but you keep your craft room very tidy for a crap thanks so much for sharing. How do you tidied it up and made it look fabulous for some new craft projects coming my way.
Thanks for the video Michelle. Everything looks great , nice and tidy. I was offline most weekend , I think I missed 2 videos. Catching up NOW ! have a blessed day.
Great job decluttering your craft cabinet drawers! 🎉 I always ask myself the same questions… why are you saving this? What were you thinking? 😂 Yay for a Goodwill drop off!! 🩷 I scheduled a Salvation Army home pickup for this week. Probably have 3-4 boxes of donations. One thing I am still working on is establishing boundaries…. And let me tell you, people don’t like it when you sometimes say no but for your own sake, it’s healthy. ❤ I’m learning that no is a good word at times. 🤓 As with anything else, balance is key. Stress is a good indicator that more boundaries are needed. 🌺 If Mama burns out, then who’s left to do everything? Take good care of yourself, my friend. 🌹
Yes! Boundaries. My brother kept questioning why we weren’t take some stuff home from my parents house when we cleaned it out. He kept asking why you don’t want this, because I have enough crap. Years ago already took a few keepsake things of moms & dads. That’s enough. Plus I have all their photos ugggh they gave to us years ago. I did take an end table to chalk paint, and a Corningware covered casserole dish and that it! That’s enough.
I also have been practicing that with others too. I no longer bring stuff over to my niece and ask her if she wants 1. Because she doesn’t know how to say no ( she so kind) 2. She has 6 kids and doesn’t need more stuff

How much Celtic salt do you put on your tongue and is it just once a day?
A pinch, like a 1/4 tsp? and you can put another 1/4 tsp in your water too.

Apparently every-time you take a drink of water put a little on your tongue.
