- The returning Alex Carey and in-form Matt Short got the Adelaide Strikers off to a flyer as Hobart's big guns failed to fire, with D'Arcy Short playing a lone hand as Peter Siddle claimed four wickets to eliminate the Hurricanes and put the Strikers into the Knockout final against the Sydney Thunder

I will admit, I had written the Strikers off, but they really came on strong down the stretch. Had some lucky breaks in this match but made the most of them. Nice job.
