Just about to watch this tutorial - so excited, as I have this pattern and have been looking for the right fabric. Wish we had a Joann here in Scotland, UK! I love your tutorials; you are a born teacher, Anita, and we are blessed to have you. Hope you had a lovely Christmas and I wish you all the very best for 2025. Kindest regards, Jill xx
Thank you so much, Jill! I'm really glad to know that you're enjoying the tutorials. I hope you had a lovely Christmas too. Happy New Year to you and your family. 💕
You do such a good job with tutorials. Well done as always. Beginners are lucky to have you. I wish I had such mentors back in the day when I was first starting out. Keep them coming. Politic.🥰
What a wonderful project. You are such a pro! I love this idea with the thread chain belt loop. I was hoping to get your opinion on something. I'm considering getting a Serger to finish off edges, which I think would do a better job than the edge stitch on my machine. I would want to start out with a small version. I am looking at the Baby Lock Celebration Serger. Do you think this would be useful? Thank you so much for the time you take in developing your Sew Along courses!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the sew along. YES! Any Baby Lock sewing machine is worth the investment. Use my code: SAVE10-AAM4 to get 10% off. You will love the efficiency of the serger.
@AnitabyDesign , thank you so much! I'm honored to receive a response from you and glad you think the serger is a good move! Thanks for the discount info, too!!! Best in 2025!
@@baker_canner I'm wishing you the best in 2025 too. Also, you may be able to follow my Baby Lock Vibrant Serger Series here on TH-cam to get tips on using your new Celebration. Happy New Year! 🥳🥳 I enjoyed the sew along. I would like to make this robe. I want to use the exact fabric, but the link states that the width is 44”. Please advise.
Oh wow! You're absolutely right. That's strange because it's the same fabric I used that I purchased from my local JoAnn Fabrics. But the pattern requirement says 60" only. But I followed their pattern layout and the pattern pieces fit just fine. Hmmm... I wish I had some fabric left so I could measure it to check. I'm really sorry about that.
@@gaynellhall4696You are very welcome. When they suggest 60” without the 45” option, it’s usually because a pattern piece will not fit on the 45. But my pattern pieces all fit. I sure hope it works out for you.
I love this color! I’m curious…does the lockstitch button not work with the dual feed attachment? I use a regular walking foot but thinking of getting a dual feed.
@@shellystafford4654 Yes, the reinforcement stitch is simply stitching in place a few times. The dual foot definitely works with that. I love the dual feed foot.
I just caught this video. What a lovely robe in such a nice color and luxurious feeling fabric.

Happy New Year 🎉
I enjoyed the tutorial. Thank you. What is the best method for transferring the markings to French terry fabric?
I’m glad you enjoyed the tutorial. I used tailor’s chalk to transfer markings. Good question.
Did I miss the required length of fabric for c French terry? 18:35
The amount of fabric you need to sew the robe (in length) will depend on the size you cut. You must use 60” wide fabric according to the layout.

@ Thank you for responding. Maybe I could purchase 1 1/2 - 2 yards more.

Now why in the world didn’t I think of that? 🤦🏽♀️ Wow! That is so common sense! OMGosh! 😂 Thank you so much for turning my lightbulb on. ❤
@ oh okay so it does work with the dual feed then. I’m seriously trying to justify getting a dual feed 😀.

Complicated project.
It’s beginner-friendly. With basic sewing skills it’s doable.
