@Vincenzo Gael yup, I have been using Flixzone for months myself :D
@Vincenzo Gael definitely, I have been watching on flixzone for years myself =)
KIA and Hyundai have stepped up their game dramatically over the past decade. Finally making good looking cars
This thing is unbelievably good. I've been looking at them on the internet and I couldn't stand it anymore. I went and saw one in person today. It looks and feels so German.. They did SO good with just about everything. I sat down in the interior and all I could say was "wow". It takes a lot to do that for me. I guess I just look at KIA and where they came from. This thing is close as makes no difference to an X5 in the impression it gives you! The look and the feel is incredible, I plan to go back for a test drive soon.. One thing bothers me that I noticed in your video.. IT STILL HAS A GAS CAP... come on KIA! I'd have the hardest time with that after years of using the capless systems. Thank you for putting this video together!
Agreed. It does make a wow impression! Thanks for watching!
Whoa!!! 19:40 wait a minute, ventilated AND heated rear seats!!! Oh wow Kia is not playing around 👏👏👏 they have set the bar extremely high💯
Yup this and cars such as Cadenza and K900 proove it

Wow Kia has done a great job. Also for Kia to have cool seats in the second row wow not even the new BMW X7 has that. That crazy for the difference in price X7 $90,000 + vs Kia $46,000 + is crazy.
Noel Silva only thing you have to think about is Kia doesn’t discount cars like American car companies do. Ford/Chevy will price a car at 40k and drop it to 32k
Kia is a serious manufacturer.
BMW is BMW while Kia is.. well, Kia. Let that sink in
@@combatvolta not really bud
Do you have a Kia?
I've looked at a ton of Kia Telluride reviews. Most review only the SX trim. Thank you for going into great detail about the differences of the various trim levels and providing actual footage. Awesome review, as always!
Thank you! We love to hear that people found it helpful!
My wife wants to buy the 2019 Chevy Traverse in High Country Trim.
After seeing your review, I need to convince her to buy this one. So amazing.
Great review
Thanks, Charles!
Stay away from GM. They haven't been putting an OFF switch for their Auto-Stop-Start system (I know the Traverse doesn't have it). Continuous use of this system will lead to premature starter motor failure and increased bearing and battery wear. The Kia atleast gives you an Off switch so you can shut it off if you choose not to use it. They also have been rated to have much better reliability long with sister company Hyundai than GM. That should be a good enough case to make to your wife. It worked for me. I was looking at the Enclave (Traverses luxury sibling) and after I asked where the Off switch was and they told me it this system couldn't be defeated I walked out of the showroom. I refuse to buy a vehicle that forces me to increase wear and tear on my engine just so they can make some extra cash on repairs.

By far the absolute best review/demo of this vehicle I have seen. I just purchased this in the EX version and had so many questions regarding the features and how to use them. Calling the dealership constantly was becoming annoying so your video saved me tons of time. Looking forward to the more extensive upcoming tech video. Please upload that soon! Thanks.

After all the improvements Kia has made I think it’s time the change their boring tacky logo
Better then stupid pony
They did, briefly. I think the problem was that it looked too much like the Lexus logo so they went back.
Kia's EV Concept for Geneva Has a New Kia Logo and Lights for a Grille

This car and the Hyundai Palisade will bring up these automakers up the ranks. These are no half ass attempts.
I drive a 2004 Kia Sorento 2.5crdi turbo diesel in the UK. I paid £1500 for it and its a beast. 4 speed aisin auto box, borg Warner transfer box and diffs, selectable 4 wheel drive, 140bhp Garret turbo and plenty of diesel torque. 123k on it now. This Telluride looks awesome, it can compete with the Armada. My mum has a Kia Carens(Rondo) , we hired a Sedona in California last summer. All performed flawlessly. God I love Kia's.
Great review, I understand a lot of people have an issue because it’s a Kia but honestly this suv is amazing, especially considering the price, hell there’s a lot of cuvs that are pushing the 40 grand mark. Even 50 grand for say the Blazer. Kudos to Kia
I usually respond to those people with "I have a problem with BMW. Unreliable over-engineered money pit." To which they usually respond with "Have you ever driven a German car?" and then I respond "Have you ever driven a Korean car?" Usually those people have nothing left to say because they never driven one so their opinions have defaulted to irrelevant.
You've always got the best clear reviews beating any other journalist!
Thanks! 😀
Great review and I’m glad to see you guys braving the weather to do one of the first reviews of the Telluride. Ill be interested to see how it stacks up against its cousin the Palisade.
Thanks James! We don't let the weather slow us down haha 💪
@@CarConfections Definitely will look for your Palisade review in the future. I think I like the design of the Palisade slightly more.
Great! We'll have to wait until we see it in person, but preliminarily we agree
It's actually a really nice looking vehicle. I think they should have made it with dual chrome exhaust.
D Mack yeah it would’ve stood out way more but it’s still lovely to look at.
It technically has “dual exhaust.” Lol. That would be “quad exhaust” in this situation. (Each side has dual.) it has the cutout for it at 2:52 on the left side
Something tells me they are saving the other side (Quad exhausts) for a performance model later on... Like a Stinger Telluride.
Dylan N. Wouldn’t that be BADASS
If it's true dual there is a high chance of it sounding like shit with a v6.
Why is it always raining during a car review 😂
Tell us about it haha
Just like how the road is always wet on car commercials.
I was gonna say that. Every review I've seen on this suv it has been raining 😂
I live in East Tennessee and its rained almost every day for the past couple of months. What is sunshine
That seems to be like almost all car reviewers 😂

Car Confections White SX Prestige with the brown interior.
You literally speced it the exact way we would! Great combination!
How do you order the color and trim you want, through a Kia dealership?

I love Kia's new flagship SUV, the exterior & interior are very rich and refined. Great review guys.
Kia has been killing it lately. I’ve owned 5 KIAs and haven’t had a single problem with any of them. I test drove one of these and I wasn’t too impressed for the price they we’re asking though. I ended up getting a fully loaded Sorento SX L for 10k less. Love the way the exterior looks but I’m not spending 50k for it.
And a $2,000 upcharge for AWD.....Ridiculous.
If you removed the Kia badge and put a German name plate on that they would be charging 70-80k

Honda and Toyota have work to do! Kia did an excellent job as always!
Andy's Shop honda and toyota have nothing to work on..

@@user-oq3lv6lv7x of course they do. They cheap out on materials and building processes because they're too snobby and living off their past reputation. For example, the Toyota RAV4 trail at $40,000 doesn't even have automatic passenger seats or even Android auto. Cheap plastic and no memory seats. Infotainment sucks and fails. And break lights are comprised of 3 tiny dots. What kind of safety is that? It's so uncomfortable unless you're short. Where's the comfort? On top of that they charge $5,000 to $6,000 more.

My first impression of the exterior had me thinking it would compete with a Range Rover.
Joe Canis I was thinking carbon copy of Escalade
The large TELLURIDE logo says otherwise.
Joe Canis definitely has gm-esque headlights
Mixed of range rover, Volvo and cadillac...its brazilian!
It's cheaper than a similarly priced Honda pilot.
Great job. Much better than professional reviewers.

Damn KIA killing the game now... this SUV is tufff and especially the KIA Stinger 😍😍🔥
Hey guys... real quality videos. I'm wanting to buy the Telluride and wanted to know more about it. You guys covered this vehicle completely. Thanks
Awesome! Glad you liked it!
Not dual exhaust. Dual tip exhaust. Huge difference.
Great review otherwise.
*Great Channel, love the video, also very nice looking SUV. Really stands out.* Quite a bit different from anything else I've seen on the road these days. However the one thing that concerns me is the rather large recall of vehicles that Kia has now. Around 600,000 cars have been recalled due to engine explosions. Which doesn't bode well for a brand new model like this. I hope this one doesn't have any engine problems. Makes me wonder though exactly what made the engines explode? Nice looking SUV though.
Thanks!
From Kia to KiLLa! Great review as always!
Haha
Excellent review!!! Thanks for showing all the details on this vehicle, I feel like I was there in person. This seems like a well made, and solid competitor in the market, and the up and coming Hyundai Palisade is looking just as strong, I hope you do a review on that as well. These vehicles are definitely going to be on my list for my next lease in 2020. The only weak point I see, that shoppers might have a problem with, is brand loyalty. If your loyal to a big brand, weather it's Toyota, or Nissan, or any of the American brands, they are going to have to be really open minded, to spend the money and wear the Kia badge, or Hyundai for that matter, and I get it, I will keep an open mind when test driving these vehicles for sure.
Thank you! That's what we like to hear!
I am definitely trading in my '17 highlander for the 2nd year telluride or palasade***...

Trading your Toyota for a Kia ? Why

@@Novice2Expert I've owned Toyota and Hyundai. I'm convinced as long as you keep up on your vehicle with maintenance it will last. I never had a problem with my Toyota or two prior Hyundai's.

We bought a used Kia late last year after my wife totaled her new car. Honestly, this van has been amazing! We're very happy with it and plan to look at Kia or Hyundia in a few years when we're ready for a new car again.
27Zangle yes best to buy Kia used and not new. These things drop fast in prices.
Beautiful SUV , definitely will be my next vehicle after my ct6 is payed off. ,👍
How you like you're ct6? I'm thinking about leasing one
@@user-ut3yo7ul7z it's been very good to me so far , I've put about 21k (It's the 3.0tt) on it over the past 2 year's and no problems. The cue system too me some time to adapt to but once I had it for a while , I got the hang of it , recommend looking at the 2019 if you want a better infotainment. I average about 21 MPG (Which is what the EPA rates it at) majority of the time.
If you're looking for something as luxurious as an e class without having majority of the features optional and need a engine with exceptional , I'd recommend it to you.
J M V sport I’m thinking about leasing a 2019 CT6 but not sure if I want the new V8 in the Platinum or if the 3.0L TT V6 will be potent enough. I’m gonna go test drive them both soon. Is the twin-turbo V6 as amazing as I hear?
@@mybro727 get the v8 , the 3.0tt in my 2017 is great but it's definitively lacking the glorious sound the black wing gives you that is sure to put a smile on your face . But I do appreciate the smoothness the 3.0tt , turbo lag is unknown , transmission is quick with shifts , the interior very comfortable while giving you a exceptionally quiet cabin on the road , pretty much everything about this car is great. My only complaint now that I've gotten used to cue is really the trunk. It all comes down to what you think particularly fits you.
J M V sport I drove one and I felt like turbo lag was horrible

I am seriously considering to upgrade my ride from a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
I would de-badge the TELLURIDE.
Roger E Yeah. It is just too many letters.
I would debadge the Kia. 🤷🏽♂️ I was immediately drawn to it when I saw KIA in the title, it doesn’t look like one. If only Kia was doing this well in the past.
@@jharindunson1702 I would change it to the Korean Kia badge where it's just the K
I would leave the telluride badge. I like the way it looks. I would just replace the KIA badge with a 3.0 K logo emblem. I love the look of the 3.0 K logo.
Saw an EX model at dealer yesterday. Looks like it was loaded pretty well, and even with the feature content rung up at 40 large. That’s at least 5 grand less than I’d expect, unlike most new vehicles today. For comparison’s sake, it was right next to a Hyundai Santa Fe with fabric seats and no moonroof and that one rung up at 33 grand, and next to a top-trim but tiny Hyundai Kona which rung up at 30 grand. All things considered, the Telluride is a good deal for the price, is big and versatile, and is a great looker.
Needs dual exhaust on BOTH sides.
Y'all are most definitely underrated. Best at car reviews ever!!!💯💯
Haha thanks Latasha! 🙂

Damn Kia🤩🤩🤩
The only issue for me is the lack of dual exhausts (one on each side of the lower rear bumper), as opposed to Kia/Hyundai's single exhaust on the right lower fascia. The twin exhausts side by side on this Telluride would be perfect if there were one on each side.
J High I agree with you on the dual exhausts. It would have looked more balanced.
They will probably have a sport model with the 3.3 turbo that will offer that
Mike Mac I hope so as that would make this much more desirable to me.👍

While I like the Palisade more , I love the old school American SUV presence the Telluride gives you. Then again , Kia did say the inspiration for this car were old American SUVs , so it'll be curious to see how this appeals to the market compared to it's sibling (Which has been highly anticipated) , the Palisade.
The explorers and blazers we get today have come a long way in terms of design and not in a good way. 😕

Big Kia recall but I still love kias recent line up. After being all Hondas owner since I started driving being a recent Kia sorento owner changed my mine. I absolutely love thier cars. Drive what you love.
Just picked up a 2019 Honda Pilot Touring, and I’m glad I went with Honda. The Telluride’s upholstery work just looks cheap in comparison. Dash looks like a BMW and seats look Ford. Notice the plastic trip piece fell out of the third row seat back. Still a very nice crossover. I almost considered it. It’s gorgeous!
Regardless of how much KIA is coming along they are sacrificing quality somewhere. All mfgs have their ways but some are more subtle. Korean products have always been known to be lower of the Asian brands. Samsung may be one exception. Toyota and Honda cut corners too but they also put the quality in where it matters with reliability.
How much was the Honda?

By "first mainstream" vehicle to have heated and ventilated rear seats do you mean that is not a luxury brand? My parents have a 2016 Lincoln MKT and the rear seats in our car are heated and ventilated so I don't know what you mean by first unless you mean for price point. Great video!
Thanks! We were meaning non-luxury brand by that. But we didn't know that the MKT had that!
Great review, guys. Beautiful SUV. Have you thought about giving a 0-100 score to the vehicles? Cheers and thanks for something to watch on a stormy day.
Edit. I dont care for the look of the rear of the front seats. They look like low end 90’s office chairs. I also don’t care for the torque numbers. If they expect it to tow anything heavy, they are going to have to improve the engine in some way. Id like to see their strongest turbo 4cyl, the one they are using now, a Kia Stinger engine, and a Tau V8 as options. Part of the customer base that buy these vehicles have big boats that they would like to tow easily, Im sure.
Im very impressed with what the Koreans are doing 2015-present day.
Thank you! That would be something interesting to add!
