Loved watching this event , God is so Good. Those nightly hours are tough and I've had more than a few Blessings to you and Family and Church and Community families . I watch some times and it's always a Blessing . 💖💜🤍🕊
This makes me miss the South listening to ya’ll and your accents. I love the hospitality! I want to come to your Chicken stew event. Watching in Tucson, AZ. We moved here two years ago from Tuscaloosa, AL.
Thank you. I have been looking for a recipe for chicken stew without the veggies. A lady game me the recipe a few years ago, but my husband lost it. Thank you, thank you!
After seasoning the pots if you would wrap them in a large 100 gallon garbage bag and tie it off and they will keep longer. I have a 30 gallon pot and a 25 gallon pot and we have done this to ours for years. Less clean up!!! We get our bags at Home Depot.
My mother always told me that I should be a farmer's wife and there are lots of fun here in Maine. I never got around to finding a farmer or a farmer never found me. Now I walk fine sort of in the house but when I go out I use a manual or electric wheelchair for anything distance and now I know in that shape I'll never find my Farmer. All of my family has passed away my mother just passed away before my birthday in August and I've had my cat for 12 years I don't know. I am all alone in the world maybe I should put an ad out for a farmer! :-)
I’m from Pinnacle, NC and now live in Tennessee, I’ve moved around quite a bit and never could I find anyone that knew what chicken stew is!!!! It’s more than just food!!! It’s the gathering too and Lord knows I miss it!!! I’m new to cooking and have been watching your videos, I decided to make chicken stew and introduce it to my new family and it was great!!! It took me back to the times sitting around the fire and eating!!!! Thank you for your videos!!!
@@TheFarmingPastorsWife That’s amazing!! My grandmother lived by the railroad tracks in Tobaccoville the whole time I was growing up, my family is from all around there! What church??
What a great time of fellowship! My cousin and eventually his whole family, his parents, siblings and the grandchildren, put on a pig pickin every year for about 20 years until a couple of years ago. He hired a gospel bluegrass band and every year on the first Saturday in October the party was on! They only asked folks to bring a side dish or non alcoholic beverage if they so desired. Lots of work but as much as everyone enjoyed it nobody enjoyed it more than they did. Their dad and my mom, who were brother and sister are both gone now and my generation is getting on up there in age. Lots of memories.
Southern good faith, family and fellowship. It was really the backbones of the South. All of the South. It didn't matter the color of your skin. United in Faith, family and fellowship. God bless the faithful.
Your outing looked really special. Can you pls share your recipe? I heard u say the fire crackers are on another video but what about your chicken stew? I only saw chicken, chicken base, milk and some other seasonings besides water to cook the chicken at first. Thank you. I will be praying for you for healing and God's blessings on your family and church and for protection during this virus and good health. Pls take care of yourself:-)
what a wonderful time! looks delicious! we had a huge huge kettle as a kid and had big ole peanut boil with the family when daddys peanuts were ready foe harvest. how fun and looks delicious!
Put several layers of aluminum foil or an upside down aluminum trash can lid on top of the one that’s loosing heat...If using the trash can lid, just sit the cooker on top and let it heat like a big wok...for the foil, place several heavy duty layers on top of the can and then cover with the grate...
I love your recipes they are awesome, but your videos that you share with us with your family are the best ones of all. My Church has get togethers like that and it feels so good to fellowship with great company and family. Thank you so much God is amazing,,

We love Chicken stew (milk based) in my area of SC. A few towns over theirs is a red chicken stew and is like a tomato based chicken stew. So I was shocked that yours was a milk based stew like ours. I boil either a whole chicken or bone-in chicken breast, diced onions, chicken base, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Take the chicken off the bone and shred it.. Then add heavy cream, evaporated milk and 2 sticks of butter.. Serve with saltine crackers.. I like to add a little ketchup to my bowl and eat dill pickles with mine.. BTW I love your videos. I've been binge watching them since I found your channel.. ♥️
I stumbled across your Channel this weekend and I watched your videos all weekend. I am now a subscriber to your channel . I am also a sister in Christ , you are a blessing to watch . Just sitting here in Oklahoma with cozy throw and experiencing our first cool spell of the year and just enjoying the sweet fellowship of you chicken stew event. Could just smell and taste all the goodness y'all shared with us. Don't you just love the people our Lord sends ourway!!!!! no, in fact I left it in a little too long this time. sometimes you can get a little bitter taste from the rind. I just let it steep a little while in the hot liquid.

No not at all
