Another week in Idaho! It’s crazy that I’ve been here almost a week and feel like I’m just now getting my toes wet…and boy did I do a lot of that this week! Join me as I paddle board through the Gem State as much as possible, before the first major heat wave of the summer kicked in and the fun came to a screeching halt!

I spent every summer as a kid canoeing those waterways. Lots of moose! It is a lot busier nowadays, but still as beautiful!

My longstanding understanding of Idaho is that it's where potatoes come from. Thanks for reframing it for me. Of course, like you, I'm finding beauty and surprise almost everywhere. I spent some time watching lots of people kayaking the Lake Superior shoreline this past week. Looks like fun, but sadly I don't think I have room for one on board. There are always rentals, I guess. And GoPro. Ugh! About ready to toss mine into a lake without a floaty thing.
Brrrr. I stayed in Michigan last august. Talk about some cold water!
@@girland2vandogs Yeah, I didn't jump in for that very reason. How could it not be cold being that far north and that huge, right? But there were some kids at Presque Isle Park cliff diving. I asked one of them, and he said, "Yeah, it's cold, alright." The air temps up here have been amazing, though. Super comfortable.
I was thinking of you so much today, as I went on a hike with my two dogs (the smaller one is very reactive on leash and the other one is just super friendly but since he's about 120lbs its a problem) I haven't been doing myself any favours by avoiding heavy trafficked hikes, (dogs even weirder because out of practice, because, I have been avoiding things because I am exhausted by just "being" a dog mom without extra challenges, hahahah) but today I didn't get the memo that this trail was a super hotspot on sundays. Well, the pups did a lot better than expected (which is a notch or two up from "complete nightmare") so I was happily surprised. We got through it! We had a mostly great time! Little one learned some stuff about not being a total maniac ALL THE TIME (which he will promptly forget the next time we are out, lol) And I was glad that I was gentle with myself and my dogs and thinking about how brave you always are traveling with freak-out-able dogs and so I can handle this too. Hope your Sunday was lovely as well!

Tire repair kit Walmart 12v air pump, kit works. Dogs n kids..I have neither.i was driving out of North Conway other night, and huge moose and calf right in front of me, their eyes do not reflect headlights just a massive brown mass in the road, they just. Walked slowly on..wish I was there with you paddle boarding course i woulda caught trout, built fire ate them..great vlog..I really hope you are enjoying this outside the box life 🙂🌟

Beautiful video! The pups whining to come in and drinking, too funny! I look at Bella all the time and go you are a permanent toddler!! So glad you are loving Starlink, I got mine and can't wait to use it. Need to create a storage box for it before we hit the road again in the SUV, that thing is clunky lol!!!

Oh yeah! I tried to go in December but the road was closed for snow.

I grew up in the south so it’s not really on my travel list. But out west, we went to San Diego, Phoenix, and Tucson!
