I don't get CGI or graphic design computer stuff either, if I make art I like to do it physically by hand. Drawing on a device is so weird compared to drawing on paper. I spend my time on the computer mostly anyway, I would want to look for any type of break from it lol

I had an opportunity for a full ride to the Art Institute and I turned it down because, like you, I don't like doing art on the computer and when they were giving me the tour of the campus, that was all I saw. Everyone is really disappointed in me that I didn't go because of my talent, but they just don't understand that it's just a different kind of art that I'm not comfortable with. So I understand where you're coming from. ♥
Jamie!! I would completely recommend you to go to vfs, for 2d animation. I think you would love it so much!! its in Vancouver tho thats the one thing. its a diplomad for one year. I took 3d animation and visual effects, and it was the best decision in my life! I really really recommend it to you if you ever are interested in going back to school. 😊 ❤️
BTW!! the have traditional animation, they do flash 2d animation in the last 2 months, and you finish with 2 reels. The one the focus the most is traditional, which is awesome for you! When I was there I knew a bunch of people from 2d, and they were all saying how amazing the vibe of the class, the projects, teachers and everything was. Im pretty sure that would take your art to a next level, have motion and stories and universes created with your art style would be amazing to see as well!!! I hope this helped in anyway!

I haven't bought anything from you recently, but it was always a joy to receive something from you, like the panda pin and "I found Charlie's mole" pin and also a Hogwarts crest painting. I treasure those items. It's so incredibly sweet of you to sell things to us at such a low price, but I know that this fan base of yours is incredibly supportive and would probably save up money just to buy something from you, knowing that they truly are supporting your hard work.

I don't like making kids pay that much for my art. Most of my audience is 5 - 16 year olds. It's why I started Art Giveaways too. They were just more fun to do :) I don't mind companies paying me for paintings for what they are worth. I just don't want to charge my viewers that price ^__^

I didn't know you were a figure skater :o I don't blame you about the animation thing. I have no desire to paint digitally, it stresses me out, I much prefer a sketch book and some watercolors.
It is completely fair to ask for a more reasonable price for your work Jamie! I've seen many creators on TH-cam feeling frustrated about having to explain why their art costs so much but the price of art is high and you deserve to make a profit on it! You should never underprice your work! Especially at your amazing level of quality there is no way you should price them down just so people will buy it. Trust me, people will buy it even with a higher price!
Your hair looks nice like that! 😃 It IS hard to make any money off creative work. Freelance writers can do okay, but it's so unstable, and in the US, taxes are higher when you're self-employed. You really have to hustle to make it work. I write novels, and that doesn't make any money either (unless someone publishes them, and then it's still not much). Because I prefer that art form, I chose to work at a job and write them when I'm not working. It's the only way I can be sure I have an income (and healthcare) before I get published, because I'm on my own here. I don't have anyone else in my household to share expenses with. I miss skating with you, btw. I wish we could do that again someday. I think of you often when I'm at the rink. ❤

This is awesome. If you can do what you want without getting into loads of debt then by all means do it! I think more people should take gap years to truly explore this possibility first! (Though I don't think colleges/universities are very happy that more and more people are realizing that it is not only possible for them to get the career they want without a degree but that it would actually be better for them in the long run.) Also, you should do Christmas shopping videos (then just tell people that you buy gifts for in that video not to watch)!
Have ever thought of instead of painting on a canvas painting trying to paint on a notebook front cover? It would be a smaller work surface(though you may need to adapt your supplies to fit to a new type of surface) and shipping cost would probably be cheaper then say a canvas or box :) just an idea
i want to watch you do your make up... it doesnt even have to be a tutorial or anything, i just want to watch you put on make up. is that weird? probably.
