Very good points. It is very harmful when one spouse feels attacked in that setting. The couple must go into it with a team mindset of desiring to work together to find tools to communicate better.
I wish I would have seen this before. I was convinced to see my spouses therapist and I walked in only to be attacked. Instead of helping she made it worse and, of course, took his side. Before I knew it I was getting a divorce and nothing was ever discussed.
Don’t get a marraige counselor. Almost cost me my relationship. They will drain you financially and often they use toxic altercations to try an flush our emotions or more issues.
i love my wife. i made a terrible mistake..... I made a careless mistake. I was hurting, feeling dejected, woorthless and alone as a husband. My wife said things to me that made me feel like she din't want me. I carried this burden with me for a long time. Feeeling dejected and vulnerable, I eventually met someone and had a breif fling. She found out. This added insult to injury. It made things worst. I'm already hurting. I never, ever met to hurt my wife. I'm devestated.I love my wife. I done want a divorce, I don't want to break-up. I love my wife. I've fallen into an abysse. My marriage is ruined..... I've begged and pleaded for forgiveness. Im drowning in disappointment and sorrow. Please help me.....
