    Suggested selling price is $229, your local hobby store may have them for less.

    Great review!
    I don't understand the comments about Traxxas plastic being bad. I by no means love Traxxas, but the plastic in the TRX4 is MUCH higher quality than that in the Axial SCX10 II, having owned both.

    Do you think it’s a good idea to replace all the metal bushings with ball bearings in the trx4 tracks the metal bushings seem to cause the motor to over heat I even burnt my motor up so I started replacing all the metal bushings with ball bearings it seems to be smoother rotation on the tracks by reducing the friction on the tracks

    • @christophergermain1407
      @christophergermain1407 ปีที่แล้ว

      probably burnt it up using high gear. or wrong gearing on your truck. its not the bushings, specially designed for less drag and less chance of rusting and seizing

    There’s no gear reduction built in but they will gear your truck down quite a bit because the drive sprocket is smaller than the tire.

      @@InvisiMan2006 They're actually very low priced compared to other tracks, but yeah, $200 is $200. Hard to make these things cheap, Traxxas spent a lot on tooling, and there's a lot of bearings and hardware in there. And I'm sure Traxxas has priced with the belief that the tracks won't be a high-volume item (at least by Traxxas standards).

    • @AirAgeMedia1
      @AirAgeMedia1  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's not a problem for the tracks, it's a problem for the motor. It'll likely overheat.
      Make no mistake, I'm sure the tracks would get sketchy if you tried to make them go 30mph, or something. But I'm sure the speed you'd see in high gear with the stock power system wouldn't bother the tracks at all. Just the motor.
