HAHAHAHAHA! That secret has been out for a bit now. I remember a friend recommending a Tiger as an "affordable option" into general aviation ownership. That was only 4 years ago. Now, Grummans are near impossible to find and the price has skyrocketed. Watched another video where someone was buying one and the seller was still getting cash offers above the asking price in mid 2022 which may go down as the greatest increase in GA prices ever....hopefully. Sure the market is slowing now, but I think the AA5A line got a big boost from Bruno and social media over the past few years. Those of you that bought before 2019 are sitting pretty with tons of equity.
I've got two pairs of prescription Flying Eyes (both with the LEWDIX discount) and I love them! As a CFI, there comes a time when every student complains about the headset and their glasses/sunglasses. I always take that moment to put my sales hat on and show them the goods!
I got my student license today. You have been part of the folks that keeps me motivated through this process. Its is on a personal level, my biggest accomplishment to date. My first step towards my dream. I'm nervous as hell but ready to go. Thank you, LewDix. Love your content, keep em coming mate. Cheers.
Looking at getting a Tiger. Can two guys and their golf clubs fit in that cabin. I haven’t found a video showing anyone or anything in the back seats. Is there a cargo area? Thx!
Cool video! Always wanted to fly a Grumman Tiger. Nice to see Keesler AFB fron the air at 11:45. Flew in the aero club there in 1982-83 while going to USAF tech school.
Loved the. "How'd you like that busy Orlando airspace?" "I trained next to LAX" conversation :D I had a similar discussion several years ago about two different airports. "Busy" is a matter of experience.
Bay St Louis is actually a really nice place to visit. Pass Christian and the coast have some great restaurants and the Stennis Space Center has a great museum. Rockets gallore.
I fly out of Stennis often. KHSA is very nice. I flew my first towered solo from there. Not really a fancy area but it’s the nicest stop around. My home airport is KASD which you passed by and flying over the NASA facility is awesome.
Oookay after watching this video I’m all in with flying eyes. I love their small personal operation and would love to give them my business. The CEO seems like a real fun guy to be around wish I worked for flying eyes so I could take my flight lessons in that Grumman
Dean actually added me on Facebook a few months back. Because of your videos I now have purchased 4 pairs. I bought my wife the limited purple frames recently! They are amazing and go with me wherever I go. Sienna recently helped me replace my scratched lenses when I made a stupid mistake and put my pistol on my car seat and forgot my glasses were there and oops.. Because of her I went and purchased those purple ones for my wife right away! The service they provide is like no other, didn't even question it, just shipped them to me to replace!! I leave one pair in each of my cars so I always have some to wear. Whether you realize it or not you have tons of reach to your audience whether that is to help them learn to fly if they are interested or even "push" amazing products :) I really can't wait to see all of this series, my new hangar mate in Kissimmee has a Grumman Tiger that him and his friends are building time in! Keep it up.
I was shocked when I saw a Tiger on the thumbnail! I flew a Tiger from Montreal to Newfoundland with two buddies shortly after getting my PPL this summer. Had never flown a low wing (proper) aircraft before, so after a quick checkride I was on my way, 60lbs under max gross on a hot summer day. Amazing airplane. Barely climbs but cruises very fast for a fixed gear. And besides the nosewheel, the only other weakness of the Tiger is that they run EXTREMELY hot. Did you notice that Lew?
I have 4 pairs of Flying eyes now and they are amazing. I wear my kestrels while flying and I have 2 pair of clears for work and they are so awesome and comfortable!!
Love the video! Also, Flying Eyes looks like a great company! Love the cats and the fact that I can get prescription lenses. Im gonna have to look into them!
Did an Angel Flight to White Plains NY, and the Million Air FBO there has a indoor golf simulator. I need to land at FBOs meant for rich jet owners more often.
Grumman tiger is what I got my license in, A&P and private pilot here working on commercial aircraft. Will most likely build a RV if I cant find a Tiger.
I fly out of KHDC 51 miles from Stennis, Take all my students there along with taking them to lunch! Bay St Louis is a nice small town in Mississippi with loads of good food along with great people and good times. You should grab a crew car next time and shoot off into town!
Should have told me you would be so close! I would have loved to come to KHYI to take you up in the 182 so we could have floated around for a while....great video as always!
if this piloting thing fails for you (i hope it doesn't but just in case bc you never know), i think you can be an actor and a comedian. You're a natural 🤣
Awesome video Lewis! I love how well your segways to ads are getting smoother. Plenty of editing practice. lol Seriously though, I love flying a Grumman. They are super smooth and responsive, a very docile aircraft. Can't wait to see you get back behind the controls. Also, really need to get some Flying Eyes ophthalmics... any idea where I can find some and maybe get a deal?
I thought, for a long time, that I did not need the Flying eyes. I went to Oshkosh and met Dean, the owner. After a little chat I decided to buy a pair. They are awesome. Best sunglasses I own. I have the magnifiers in mine that needed adjustment and they adjusted them at no charge and got them back to me in a day or so. But the big test, my wife is very particular about sunglasses. I decided to take a chance and bought her a pair as well, sight unseen by her. She is not a pilot. She does fly with me so she wears a headset however, she absolutely loves her Flying Eyes. They are her go to sunglasses not only for flying but for driving, sitting on the back porch, working in the yard, matters not. That is the ultimate positive testimony for how great these sunglasses are. Anyways, thanks for the great video.
NASA engine test facility and Casinos. Oil production. Last hurrican that came through a lot of the Vhevron and a couple more companies based their helicopter off shore operations out of Stennis. A lot of Military Trainers go in there for refuel. I think Million Air saw opportunities and have benefited, as well as their customers, from it.
San Marcos eh? I can think of a certain aviator that might appear on the channel in that case! I hope it happens, I'd love to see my two favorite TH-cam channels do a collab!
I'm only a minute in, but I hear that you are going to San Marcos, and then I hear a vague comment about more stuff to do there for another video... Please tell me the next video is a collab with Aviation101
Wait! What rock have I been under that I didn't know Flying Eyes was based in San Marcos. We're practically neighbors. And why do you not let your faithful followers know when you're in their backyard. Honestly, it's like I don' t know you. BTW great video!
My issue with Flying Eyes is that I have to pay to get demo glasses sent to me. They look cool and there are several frames I want to try. I don't have a local retailer. I have to try stuff on before buying them. I looked online and they charge a fee to try on glasses. I want to try the prescription glasses with the magnetic sunglasses. They look like a great option for me but the fee to try a pair on is stupid. It's not a huge fee but mostly the principal. If they want me to buy a pair and pay more for prescription lenses, then let me try them on. Trying them on should not cost me money.
I’m not sure but I suspect the fee is for “insurance”. If they send you pairs of glasses there’s no way of them guaranteeing that they’ll ever get them back from you. Not saying you’re a thief, of course, but anyone could just keep them. That’s my guess anyway.
there's nothing to do here, its millionair aviation the FBO is a chain they are all like that. they make tons of money from the military stopping there for fuel and the cheap food. so they make a lot of money off the fuel

As a Grumman AA5A owner I love when anyone makes a good video in these tiger/cheetahs. They're a hidden secret in the ASEL category.
They truly are brilliant!
I believe that FlyWithBruno also has a Tiger
@@lordcraycray2921 he has cheetah, made 15 airframes after mine.
Wish I could find one reasonably priced 😪
HAHAHAHAHA! That secret has been out for a bit now. I remember a friend recommending a Tiger as an "affordable option" into general aviation ownership. That was only 4 years ago. Never noticed these glasses before but after watching your video now own a set. Great deal video keep up the great videos.

NICE! Thanks for using my code. Not only did you save money but it’s increased your sex appeal too 🙌🏻
After a week of not flying, videos like this help me get my head back in the game. Love it.
Nice! You’ll welcome yourself back to the sky soon enough
I got my student license today. You have been part of the folks that keeps me motivated through this process.
Its is on a personal level, my biggest accomplishment to date. My first step towards my dream.

That’s brilliant! Embrace your training and go and achieve your dream! You’re on an amazing path 🙌🏻
The Sky's NOT the limit! Keep it up bro
Wow! Dean and his team are super cool! I hope we see more of them soon 😎
They’re alright. I’m only interested in the sunglasses. 😏

pleasant flight, of course.
23:42 yes, I paused it looking for the cats.
26:30 lollll, love this segment.
wait what was your discount code again? great video man, it was a fun watch!
Loved the. "How'd you like that busy Orlando airspace?" "I trained next to LAX" conversation :D

Bay St Louis is actually a really nice place to visit. Pass Christian and the coast have some great restaurants and the Stennis Space Center has a great museum. Rockets gallore.
Just ordered a pair! Thanks for the videos! Looking to solo this weekend if all goes well 😎
Great video! Always good to see Dean. Love the new plane!
If you desire to fly back to Stenis, I used to live in Bay St Louis. Still have family there. It’s a great area and I’ll show you around!
Very cool. First small plane I ever flew in back in 2007 was a Grumman Tiger AA5!!!
I fly out of Stennis often. KHSA is very nice. I flew my first towered solo from there. Not really a fancy area but it’s the nicest stop around. My home airport is KASD which you passed by and flying over the NASA facility is awesome.
soloed in a tiger many years ago. bought my first pair of flying eyes last year at Reno .
Loved flying the Tiger!
Oookay after watching this video I’m all in with flying eyes. I love their small personal operation and would love to give them my business. The CEO seems like a real fun guy to be around wish I worked for flying eyes so I could take my flight lessons in that Grumman
Funny video and I love my Flying Eyes thanks to Lewdix for the discount

2:00 love the shot at Av101 😂😂

What a fun flight! Never flown the east coast of the gulf like that that’s great!
1:30 How DARE you let him get away with just a "clear" 😆
Stennis has an English Electric Lightning based there under restoration to flight.
Did an Angel Flight to White Plains NY, and the Million Air FBO there has a indoor golf simulator. I need to land at FBOs meant for rich jet owners more often.
I live Right Next to Stennis! That’s amazing to think one of my favorite TH-camrs flew there!
Amazing to think I’m one of your favourites 🥹
Grumman tiger is what I got my license in, A&P and private pilot here working on commercial aircraft. Will most likely build a RV if I cant find a Tiger.
AA5 gang 😤💪🏼
I fly out of KHDC 51 miles from Stennis, Take all my students there along with taking them to lunch! Bay St Louis is a nice small town in Mississippi with loads of good food along with great people and good times. You should grab a crew car next time and shoot off into town!
I’ll do that!
SAY- “WHAT’S THAT DISCOUNT CODE AGAIN?” 😂
KHSA Stennis is my home airport!! Jet-Away is a great place to stop and eat and millionaire always takes care of us.
Should have told me you would be so close! I would have loved to come to KHYI to take you up in the 182 so we could have floated around for a while....great video as always!
Man, I just did the opposite of this last weekend. Albuquerque (and then Texas) to Florida. Brought my new PA28 home to Flagler
Awesome video as always! I think a certain person who’s based there needs the lewdix tramp stamp on his back window! 🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic video and great content!!
Thank you so much!
Best LewDix vid yet 🤣
WOOHOO!
my first training bird was a Piper Tomahawk , tail number N2332N
if this piloting thing fails for you (i hope it doesn't but just in case bc you never know), i think you can be an actor and a comedian. You're a natural 🤣
😂 thank you so much. That actually means more to me than you know.
Your "work shift" at Flying Eyes was hilarious 😂
😂 it was a blast
Fun flight thx for the vid still watching though
Thanks!
Awesome video Lewis! I love how well your segways to ads are getting smoother. Plenty of editing practice. lol

I've got a '79 Tiger with the same paint scheme, serial #1209, N4554E.
Haha nice
Hey Lewis great video as always
Thanks man!
Awesome sauce! 👌 😎
Does anyone else hit "like" before even watching Lew's videos?!😊
I’m gonna put something proper offensive at the end of the next one. You can’t take back the like!
@@LewDixAviation mate, from you something offensive will still be great entertainment 😂

That sells them better than I ever could haha That’s fantastic!
Man you are the best
Legend 🙌🏻
sheltair in the background, nice group of people there
Definitely nicer and better organized than Atlantic on the other side
Thanks for washing your pringles fingers before manhandling the shades, Steve
How many miles was this Orlando to San Marcos?
And here I thought I'd copyrighted Grumman videos 😄 Good work, sir!
Who makes that iPad mount?
Need to make frames for prescription glasses, lot of older guys would buy them
They do prescriptions. 10% off:LEWDIX
Are you wearing the Cooper Aviator Mirrored Soppier in this video?
I’m wearing Kestrel Aviators, matte black with mirrored sapphire lenses
Which EFB do you use?
If the boss needs someone in Australia to wear some and promote flying eyes. I would be good at that 😉
NASA engine test facility and Casinos. Oil production. Last hurrican that came through a lot of the Vhevron and a couple more companies based their helicopter off shore operations out of Stennis.
A lot of Military Trainers go in there for refuel.
I think Million Air saw opportunities and have benefited, as well as their customers, from it.
Can you get those glasses with prescriptions?
You can!
Tiger has decent speed and fuel burn to be a good long-distance flyer.
San Marcos eh? I can think of a certain aviator that might appear on the channel in that case! I hope it happens, I'd love to see my two favorite TH-cam channels do a collab!
Unfortunately, that’s just not in the stars 🤷🏼♂️
Question about Flying Eyes: Do you plan to expand to Europe specifically Germany in the near future?
As a clarification: I'm looking for prescription glasses
Wait, was that a Lewdix Aviation Hat I saw in the beginning of the video? Could it be? Is that happening?
👀 eagle eyed!
Josh wouldn't let you crash at his place huh. So much for southern hospitality
I'm only a minute in, but I hear that you are going to San Marcos, and then I hear a vague comment about more stuff to do there for another video... Please tell me the next video is a collab with Aviation101
I'm sorry I probably missed something, is there a way I can get a discount on those great sunglasses? :D
I might know a guy.
Use code LEWD..... {british person being tackled noises}
Hi does anyone know what the discount code is please?
Haven’t got a clue
Wait! What rock have I been under that I didn't know Flying Eyes was based in San Marcos. We're practically neighbors. And why do you not let your faithful followers know when you're in their backyard. Honestly, it's like I don' t know you. BTW great video!
San Marcos? Collab with Josh? 😂
Sounded like she was about to say N81TB
I just bought me one
Used to keep my Cheetah at San Marcos.
Hearing about that try on kit, I've glad I'm not US based...or I'd have 4 pairs of glasses.
flying eyes are awsome sunglassees but so expensif ... the day they will cost 50€/dollars, i'll buy 5 different sunglasses ahah
i would love to get a pair of the glass frames, so i can put my prescription in them, but i cannot afford to pay $350 for a frame
Is it just me or does the audio sound hollow when he transmits?
It’s not just you
Wait, so they claim we aren't allowed to use the code LEWDIX? How do they expect me to pay full price?
My issue with Flying Eyes is that I have to pay to get demo glasses sent to me. They look cool and there are several frames I want to try. I don't have a local retailer. I have to try stuff on before buying them. I looked online and they charge a fee to try on glasses. I want to try the prescription glasses with the magnetic sunglasses. All I know is there is something with NASA and a casino
We are ambassadors as well for Metal Detectorists they are fantastic! DirtNerds for 10% off!
Lewdix has arrived in enemy territory
San Marcos? Enemy territory! Please please don't let us see you wearing an aviation 101 shirt or hat! Lol! Blue skies!
Never!
there's nothing to do here, its millionair aviation the FBO is a chain they are all like that. they make tons of money from the military stopping there for fuel and the cheap food. so they make a lot of money off the fuel
Mystery solved!
