YourPalCal true but for me its more like how much more awesome could things be with more powerful hardware. Even if the laptop was slightly heavier and thicker it would probably destroy the competition... That would push the entire industry forward... Everyone would be better off that way right?
The Macbook Pro _doesn't_ cater to true professionals. That's because true professionals aren't going to be doing their work on a laptop anyway. A desktop experience is much more powerful and more productive, so you can get more done for the same price if not cheaper.
Mark Yates true professionals seeks simple hardware & versatility that works due to the amount of business they had. Apple used to be good at that. Now? Nah imagine a sudden meeting with dongles or forgot to bring dongles. Boom! Lose business.
+Brawndo How many _non_-Macs are there at Google? Windows? Linux? Hell, how many _Chromebooks_ are there at Google? How many of their employees use Macs for non-trivial technical or production work, and for how many is it just their everyday use laptop? This claim, if it is even true, does not prove anything.
+Abion47 Google phased out Windows, except for a few departments that need it, majority consist of Macbook pro 13, 15, Macbook Air, followed by Chrome Book and Linux Desktops. Yes the claim is true, if you doubt it, you're obviously not a developer. I guess you don't even know that OSX has a native Unix terminal. No need to use crap like cygwin on Windows. But hey, let NON-PROFESSIONALS tell us why the Macbook pro is not good for pro's.. noobs.
I don't get the target user for this systems. I heard people saying they're gonna use this as their main editing machine, but sounds ridiculous. It's a mid range laptop priced at high end.
maybe the same targeted user as before? maybe people who prefer a nicer operating system then the pos called windows? maybe people not beeing poor and thinking a million times about every penny they spend?
I think the part people miss is that you are paying for the software suite that comes with the Mac OS X architecture(ignoring hackintosh for a sec) and the amazing build of those laptops. I used final cut pro, edited and color graded a 30 minute video on a dual core mac mini from 2011. Final cut pro is very well optimized.
Apple is so damned obsessed with getting thinner and thinner that it's now utterly ridiculous. Extra thinness does NOT give you any huge advantages, and I'd rather my laptop be a few millimeters (or more) thicker and actually be full featured, including having a DVD-RW, tons of ports, a better discrete GPU, a better cooling system, etc, etc. At this point, Apple's obsession with creating a thin laptop is actually hindering them -- NOT helping them.
what do you mean by not giving any advantages ?? it's easier to bend ,that's an advantage .it will definitely come in handy in some emergency situation
I agree. I mean if Apple makes a 1mm thick laptop, by then wireless USBs would be he standard and wireless monitors would probably just be emerging. It's just not practical in day to day use. I means if you're at a park with your laptop, and you want to connect a standard USB. And you forgot your adapters at home. Well too bad. I feel like Apple is taking the wrong path. Back in the day, Apple was actually superior to PCs most of the time. It was great back then. Now, Apple just wants your money.
I just bought a used 13 inch MacBook Pro from 2011 for $300 bucks. Put in a 120GB SSD with a 50/50 split for Windows 10 and Mac OS. Bought a new battery for $100 and installed the original 500GB HDD for data storage in the DVD slot bay for another $30. Now I have a quick laptop with a good solid body, battery (6-7 hours), backlit keyboard, and a display with great color (Resolution is meh) for only $530 I save my gaming for my desktop. I don't see why I would need this MacBook Pro at all.
Which OS? Not sure about Mac OS; I actually haven't used it in about a month. As for Windows 10... I don't see myself needing a different OS other than Windows 10
In my business working with amateur and professional photographers about half use Mac OSX and half Windows. Windows problems have made my about twice as much money about twice as many problems
Sgt Brobee I am pretty sure Linus will come up an idea. Watercooled with outside mounted radiators or the case has air vents built in. Should also be drop resistant, etc.
So they don't have to do reviews just from the perspective of a non-apple user. Most people who are looking to get an apple product are already apple users and would probably get more value from the words of someone who knows the apple ecosystem. That being said, Linus seems to have become very knowledgeable about Apple products making such a need less significant.
Simple answer: No Longer answer: The MacBook Pro is a decent laptop but not worth the $3,500 price tag for the highest end model, not to mention the incessant need to have dongles JUST to make full use of the ports. While USB-C and Thunderbolt 3 are very advanced and will replace most ports in the future, it's still the present and I/O such as USB-A are still feasible and commonly used. The MBP is going for the long term approach while alienating anyone and everyone in the short term. I'll give the MBP some credit though. 4 USB-C w/Thunderbolt 3 ports is better than just one (looking at you 2015 MacBook).
Even cheap, bottom end video cards can come with passive adapters, and some laptops as well. Its mind boggling how Apple thinks that not including adapters is a good idea.
***** They *are* alienating people as you're already paying for an overpriced computer, not to mention extra for dongles to be able to use the MBP now as a normal laptop. Not everyone wants to spend extra on something already expensive.
By the time those ports become standard the laptop will be outdated. Having one of each and then the standard ports would be better. But they only used those ports to see dongles.
My problem with this 2016 mac book is that it costs more than my gtx 1080 gaming laptop with an i7 6700k cpu. Plus I have more storage too. Sure I don't have the aluminum build quality and it's certainly not lightweight or thin but for that kinda money I'd want higher specs seems to me that you pay for the brand with apple. I still get fingerprint scanner, 2 thunderbolt 3/USB type C ports and usb 3/3.1 ports too. Which is another thing. I'm all for the future of tech but getting rid of current tech is stupid. I have no devices whatsoever that use thunderbolt 3 connection everything from my mouse to my graphics tablet to my phone use a standard USB port. And what is the point in having a thin, lightweight, portable laptop if you have to carry around dongles with you anyway?? I'd rather spend less money on something like a XPS or even a surface book pro than this and not because I don't like apple products and I quite like the touch bar but because the mac book pro just is way over priced for what it has to offer everything from it's specs to it's lack of I/O ports. I agree thunderbolt 3/USB type-C is the port of the future but I'd rather have a thunderbolt 3 port or 2 on a laptop along side standard USB 3/3.1 ports so I can still use my current peripherals as well as any future devices that take advantage of thunderbolt 3.
It's called an Octane III though it's from a UK company in the UK called PCspecialist. If you're in the USA then the Origin EON-17x I believe is the exact same laptop uses a clevo chassis. Think Sager in the USA also do the same laptop.
Probonoman yep not cheap lol. Would have gotten a desktop which would have been cheaper if I built it myself but I like with a laptop I can take it places like to a friends house for example plus as it uses desktop gpu and cpu it's practically a desktop pc in a portable package. Pio Soesetio exactly my point lol macbooks are way over priced and no where near as powerful as gaming laptops. Sure gaming laptops aren't ideal for say college use or work use and battery life sucks on gaming laptops but If I wanted something like a macbook for use at work or college then I'd go for a windows ultrabook of some kind or even the surface book pro. Much cheaper, similar power and has suitable I/O ports.
Apples P3 accuracy is actually pretty abysmal. I read this review a couple days ago: nofilmschool.com/2016/12/new-mac-pro-filmmakers-review Scroll down a bit for P3 stuff. The colors are absolutely all over the place. Sure, it can technically show more colors, but the calibration is just shit. If you're someone who actually needs to work in DCI P3 for their job, you will not be able to use this out of the box. Maybe it can be fixed by buying a calibration tool, but seriously... On top of the dongles you also need, how much extra hardware do you actually need to buy to make this already-super-expensive laptop actually useful for a professional? In contrast, the Dell XPS 15 also supports DCI-P3 and actually does a better job at it out of the box. It goes above and beyond that when properly calibrated: www.anandtech.com/show/10116/the-dell-xps-15-9550-review/6 So no, the display alone is also not that special. Don't just take Apple's word for it.
TalesOfWar Of course, but it's not encouraging that it's pretty crappy out of the box. I haven't actually found calibrated color benchmarks yet, so it is hard to tell how far you can push it. Either way. The XPS 15 is a viable alternative for a professional when it comes to the screen. They are not the only ones selling in this segment. Hell, they're even pretty late. They used to be much more aggressive on this front and now they're consistently behind.
Are you referring to Hyperthreading? That's not "quad-core", its a shitty dual core with two virtualized cores. A true quad-core has four physical cores and four virtualized cores.
Everything but the RAM is expensive as fuck. If I go on PCPartspicker and fucking build a nearly identical PC I would get an over 1,000 USD PC without a case, keyboard, mouse, or monitor
Apple have ALWAYS gone for mass market appeal and the uneducated consumer. When you realize this their products start to make more sense. _Macbook pro_, just a high end ultrabook, but if some college student bought a laptop with a skylake chip with his/her teribble credit card, all they're going to notice is that "this is faster than any windows laptop I've ever used." _Apple earpods_, poor bastard spends 300$ on earbuds for his iphone 7, apple mows down on the 300hz, 500hz, 1.5 khz, and turns up 12khz, 14khz, all someone is going to notice is "these sound WAY more comfortable than my beats". _Trashcan_, 3d cg major who knows nothing about computers, gets a 6 core cpu desktop they can build for half the price, it's going to work just fine for them. _I-phone 7_, "wow this is fast." _Retina_,"great screen."
*"Actually most macusers are very aware of what they are buying = top quality computers"* BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA DongleBook non-Pro - limited to 16gb of RAM (soldered, not upgradable) XPS15 2017 - 32GB of RAM DongleBook non-Pro - non-touch, lower-resolution screen XPS15 2017 - 4K touchscreen, Infinity display (MAYBE you'll see it on your mac when it becomes cheap enough for Apple to still royally rip you off. For now it's just too expensive for Apple... You're stuck with obsolete technology...) DongleBook non-Pro - crappy, cheap and obsolete AMD GPU. Specs similar to gtx940 (early 2015) XPS15 2017 - BRAND NEW NVidia 1050 (yeah, I know, you have NO IDEA how much faster it is...) DongleBook non-Pro - Skylake CPU (not even the fastest one!!) XPS15 2017 - Kaby Lake CPU (pretty sure they'll pick the fastest.) Price in top configuration: DongleBook non-Pro: $3,500 XPS15 2017: expected at just slightly more than $2,000 You can bullshit the clueless faithful of the Apple cult but not anyone who knows anything about computers...
Sgt Brobee Don't get me started on Beats, they have no shame in their marketing. They don't even pretend that they sell good headphones. They are entirely brand recognition, they don't even show their products in most of there commercials, not once have they claimed to be #1, sound better than anyone else; they don't even have to. Apple at least sells half decent goods. Beats are everything wrong with marketing, you have to take a step back and see how hilarious it all is, beats have SpongeBob episode marketing.
I know I dont have to buy it, but the thing that makes me sad, is that people who don't know better will buy it simply because it is an Apple product. It looks nice, has some flashy features and works well in the Apple ecosystem. They do not realise that they are getting ripped a new one (like a dual core cpu for what they pay for it, wtf Apple?). And the IO choices of late are just appalling. The only 2 things I need are a USB 3 port and an SD card slot. I don't want to carry dongles to use my hardware. The worse thing is, the sales will probably do well, people will not complain about the lack of ports to Apple (or they will justify them away) so Apple and probably other companies will continue to design and produce flawed hardware thinking this is what people want.
PhilGoodInc ok so I can edit faster and transfer faster data on my MacBook Pro 2016 than any higher spec pc laptop which do cost over £2000 and you say apple is over priced... in 6 months a pc laptop is worth half of what you paid while a apple product keep s it value better and last over 6 years still supported and doing things that matter better in there eco systems... 🍎
welp if that works for you great keep buying apple its your money you get to chose how you spend it, i personally will stay away from apple for the time being
Expected rants and thinly supported arguments, pleasantly surprised with a thoughtful, slightly more or less unbiased review! One like for you, my good sir!
It is the most biased thing I've ever heard, In a couple of years if any other ports exist except for USB 3 it will be old and outdated. This is what future proofing looks like.
Not if you use final cut pro, its very well optimised. A custom build PC will always be better but some people want a portable editing machine with really good build quality, and the Macbook Pro delivers, i speak as someone who owns one.
No, as the apple specs page says, they have PCI-E based SSDs. A fast google search shows that "The 2016 13-in. MacBook Pro's specs claim it has sequential read/write speeds of 3.1Gbps and 2.1Gbps per second, respectively." Thats ten times slower than the new samsung SSD.
the Touch Bar is stupendous for those of us who need a little assistance being sure they've spelled things correctly. I have an expansive vocabulary but often found myself confirming words like 'stupendous', 'expansive', and 'confirming' were spelled correctly using google or lookup before predictive text on my phone and the touch bar has brought that to the laptop.
***** NOPE, neither, FloatPlane isn't on TH-cam, it's a separate service, thats why they keep talking about how much better the bitrate for FloatPlane is over TH-cam. It's called being a FORUM MEMBER, there is a section of the forum where they post videos anywhere from a few minutes up to about a day (that time they screwed up and posted the wrong video a few months ago) before they switch the video to Public on TH-cam, it's a "perk" for being a Forum member.
+Tyson Starfield nah. I tried but certain things are just J usable for me. Almost all my stuff is on SMB shares and the way finder handles them sucks donkey butt. As a Facebook browsing machine, SURE. But I have a hard time getting real work done with it. Familiarity with Windows' quirks contributes heavily to this. On MacOS I have to google every stupid little thing. Just no time for that these days. Both have their strengths and I will keep the Mac this time and try to use it more frequently so I don't get so rusty this time. Maybe in time I'll get more used to it. - LS
Nope you just need one dock with multiple ports. Or maybe just a card reader which are native so NO dongle required if you edit on the field. Of course you might need an external disk or monitor also but for that all you have to switch them to USB-C cables.
So? If you need a laptop it doesn't really matter if you could buy some old car with the same money, that car is not gonna do the things a laptop does. You could replace the word car with any other word and it would make as much sense.
*Apple makes a good and very expensive laptop* *Linus says the laptop is good and very expensive* *People are mad that Linus said that the laptop is good and expensive* LOL
Eduardo Guifarro It's frustrating that so many people are so prude. Everywhere I look, if a blogger, actress, or personality shows a MacBook in her photo, then people have to bring up what a terrible product it is and how dumb he or she must be for owning it.
Honestly, all these Apple haters are just close minded.. If you can't understand that there is more to a laptop than a spec-sheet, and it fits MY needs better than any Windows laptop regardless of the price, then go somewhere else because you are wasting everyone's time.
Devraj Thakkar Right, you are paying for the name, and there are reasons why they are a such a successful name. Ultimately they are marketed to a slightly different audience, but they perform to that audience way better than any Windows computer could, because of OS, hardware and software reliability, the apple 'universe' and software compatibility just to name a few.
PCs aren't innately unreliable. Bad ones are horrible, but good ones from decent brands like Lenovo or Toshiba will in my experience come with properly set up OS and drivers. This is something not so good brands can really cut corners on, with many frustrating problems for the users later on. My thinkpad however has been used thousands of hours since I bought it in 2011, and not a single crash yet. All the new software over the years has just installed and worked properly. It also for many years received device specific updates from Lenovo through their custom update software. Some brands do work hard to improve user experiences and keep things working properly. However, a lot of apple users I've talked to have this idea PCs/windows are less reliable, but it's really down to the quality of the device.
Efw Ewfwef Lol just cause they don't want to throw all their money at a shitty mid range laptop at best doesn't mean they don't have enough money. It just means they aren't fucking idiots like you my friend.
Efw Ewfwef i know right how dare i not want to spend double the money for the same performance. I mean. Shiny! 😑 i wasnt aware of this "software escape button" but still thats like no space bar. Its sorta a staple of computers. Maybe i shouldent say that. Might give apple ideas on how to "innovate"
Adapters for everything, this is why I am against pure Thunderbolt connectivity on laptops, and still prefer legacy ports, like USB 3.0, Ethernet, SD reader, etc etc
Andrew Hunt What do you think would happen if Apple had decided not to push TB3 forward aggressively? It would never have become the standard. It always takes a radical first step for an interface to become widely spread. The same way the first iMac did away with diskettes and only had a CD drive. Now, within a year or two, all computers will have tb3 and we will never look back. This is what many people don't get. Everybody is like ''tb3 is the future, but that future hasn't come yet'' but they don't understand what it takes to get to that future.
Apple has been trying to change the tech industry, this a better and smaller version of USB, they are putting this on computers so people will start to buy thunderbolt devices and companies will make more support for it, its similar how they are pushing smart phone users to go wireless. I think eventually we will get rid of USB will thunderbolt replace it idk but it has a good chance.
I have a 1993 Nissan Pathfinder XE-V6. In my area, KBB lists the Stealership pricing between $850 and $2,100. Yeah, and that is with half the mileage of mine. Shame, bloody great car. Anyway, yeah, you could buy SEVERAL of my car for the price of a Facksnook Pron. or bookhack- whatever the fuck that ugly thing Linus was reviewing is. It has the apple logo, it is hideous. BOX STYLE IS ALWAYS IN STYLE BABY!!!
But it wouldn't be a laptop or have the single best display panel out there. I won't be buying one any time soon, but there are certain things that you can only get with a MacBook, and Apple can charge for that exclusivity.
Stugem S I already did! My PC blows anything Apple makes out of the water, which is especially sad because I'm an idiot. What excuse do Apple "engineers" have? Apple is a crap company with crap products and crap customer service. I refuse to buy anything with that stupid logo on it.
Apple has finally proven to the world they have completely forgotten what a computer actually is, making a "Professional" laptop for developers, engineers and designers, putting in under-spec components that make no sense for the jobs the Macbook Pro is meant for, removing and lowering the overall performance of the laptop from previous generations. Mid range GPU, non-upgradable components. Seriously what part of this is "Professional". Apple have officially forgotten what computers are and what they are meant to do. It's sad.
The new macBook Pros are super professional. You see most pros don't want a computer to meddle with. They want to use and rely on it. And this is what the MBP gives them reliability stability and great performance in an easily portable format.
You think you are. Apple does know but they don't care. Because when their customers are idiots like you who are willing to buy inferior products at ridiculous prices, they really don't have to keep up with technology. Still waiting for you to post evidence that the MBP is faster than the 2017 XPS15. Sorry, I will only accept tangible data, not your silly Apple propaganda slogans.
BIG problem for you is that the new MBP's is not even close to being inferior to the junky laptops you are championing. They are of course superior in most ways.
jennifergala and it looks like shit, is so heavy and thick that it’s a non-portable laptop, and has a user experience on par with a rock. I’m not going to defend the price of the mb because it really is absurd, but you shouldn’t be buying a laptop for raw power since it’s not going to be able to keep itself cool and will just throttle itself. Buy a MacBook Pro/XPS if you need a laptop, and a custom PC if you want raw power.
Nobody needs 32 gigs of RAM in 2018. My PC has 8 GB of RAM, same with my laptop. 32 gigs of RAM is the same memory as a mid 1990s supercomputer. The specs on your portable mainframe supercomputer are very impressive, and faster than my Dell Inspiron and Surface Book 2, combined.
Can you recommend me a good laptop to buy for college? I don't care for gaming on a laptop but I want something powerful with great enough battery life. I want to major in Programming and/or stock trading. Also, I want to do 4K video editing with no cpu/gpu slowdown etc
you wanne programming and ask this question on a forum aperantly filled with idiots? maybe you are one too or just a troll. its hard to decide for me at this point.
9:42 What an ignorant thing to say.....The majority of highly regarded music producers, graphic designers, video editors, etc use MacBook pros for their creative work. To be honest, Mac has more of a reputation for productive/creative work than Windows......Most Windows users are video game enthusiasts who only dabble in creative work, if at all.
Apple makes mostly smart and sensible decisions but unfortunately most people does not understand just how smart Apples decisions are until a year or two along the line.
They're fantastic now but of course updated models will come as soon as Intel delivers more powerful processors but that will probably be in over a years time.
Do you mean a fan? All laptops have fricken fans and the one(s) on Macbook Pros absolutely suck. My Macbook Pro 2015 (which I HAD to get for school) gets burning hot from doing simple tasks. I downloaded Macs Fan Control so it wouldn't burn my legs (I'm exaggerating a bit) but now I hear the extremely loud fan a lot.
Well actually a lot or most of apple products that are built are overpriced for the hardware that they sell, they are built cheap and sold higher than most other products because of their brand name, though some do last longer i believe it also depends on how people treat the products they buy, so if its treated with care like any sort of equipment should be treated with then any product would last long. Apple is just overly expensive and people feel the need to have the latest of anything apple which is stupid in my opinion.
Apples products are not built cheap as they actually have pretty expensive components in them. For example the new screen and SSD Apple use in the new models are significantly more expensive than standard types.
I don't mean 1 specific part, i mean overall they cut costs pretty efficiently wherever they can, so overall on quite a number of products i see they sell, they have a high pricetag on things that wouldnt be anywhere near worth that price tag, even on some of the computers they sell, i could order the exact parts myself and it could cost literally half the price that they'll charge because its their brand name.
Considering that I spend 99%+ of my time home or in my dormitory, if I had 2 PC-s, I had pretty much no need to carry anything around, except for summer, when I have to move out, but that's a different matter. I spend Christmas home, so now I have a couple weeks where I can only game on my old potato laptop. Msi 2x performance???? We need to make it at least 3x! Besides, my current rig has a i7 6700k, gtx 1070 and 16 gb of ram, + 144hz g-synch monitor. That's kind of expensive, so only 2 pc.
@despacito, Here we go again.. If you used MacOS for any prolonged period of time, you would know that what you're saying is false. Very accurate colors, high brightness and high pixel rate is not a gimmick. Speakers are a big deal unless you like to listen to things through a tin can.. And yes, there are more software than final cut pro but adobe premiere is slow (at least compared to fcp) and other ones are not industry standarts so good luck finding a job with experience of using Kdenlive..
@despacito Razer blade, really? These things break more often than macbooks do and yet they cost more (Linus showed that).. Dell xps is a better contender here.. And radeon pro 560 or integrated graphics will definitely get you somewhere nowadays.. My friend works at architectural design company where they render 3d buildings and most of their computers run integrated graphics.. Most of programs nowadays don't need beefy graphics card, CPU is far more important. And programs like fcp, motion don't even need good specs to run well.. And what sort of restrictions did you run into on mac os? I've been using mac os for a while and haven't run into restrictions, I only ran into differences between systems that I solved so I can work with both systems without readjusting all the time..
Oh cry me a river you spec head, you clearly do not use MacOS. If you're a professional who cannot make use of the new Macbooks you aren't much a pro then.
Yeah I mean how hard can it be to connect a small dock to the new MBP's with just one cable if you want to plug in most desktop devices. Some people just don't get IT!
That's not a rule. Older MacBooks were much more repairable and moddable. The latest ones have everything soldered and industrially glued so that if something breaks, you can't replace the part.
Soldered CPU, GPU, RAM and storage. Bought a base model with 256GB flash storage due to financial constraints and now need more space? No problem, just buy a new Macbook Pro. Nice one Apple!
if you put in a little more cash you'd can set yourself up with all you need to make amateur porn in your basement, including a girlfriend AND a hoker.
Holy crap that would be one heck of a hooker for $3500. Either she's worth it and you got lucky or she isn't and you got screwed. See what I did there?
The thing that is usually overlooked with Apple products is the fact they are not just putting a Windows or free Android OS on it they are actually making exclusive software including whole OSes for them and sometimes even exclusive hardware that other manufacturers just buy from other companies e.g. SoCs on iPhones and iPads. All that makes some considerable difference. But in devices that have lower sales like computers all that stuff makes their devices way more expensive than competitors while in devices with higher sales like the iPhone they can stay more competitive.
I prefer MacOS over Windows for productivity as personally I find editing etc a lot easier however, I prefer Windows for gaming which is obvious. BUT, Mac's are DEFINITELY OVERPRICED for the specs. I bought a Mac Mini (Late 2014) which has i5 2.6GHz, 8GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB 5400rpm HDD. It cost me £701 as I chose the buy now pay 12 months later, original price £569. If I had the money I would've bought a fully spec Macbook Pro (Late 2015).
I would say base software MacOS comes with better included software for editing but if you are going to buy software it hardly matters what OS you use. They all tend to work the same on both these days.
Sodapop Correct. But consider that a PC always comes with better hardware per $ you spend, so even if the two machines have the same CPU, the Mac will have a cheap and pathetic GPU and in the end run Adobe or other professional software slower...
To be honest I entered to this video thinking that it will be the typically PC guy busting the MacBook, but it was a really professional look pointing out the pros and cons of the new MacBook. Keep it up guys
I tried the keyboard on the DongleBook Pro at a local Best Buy -It's too easy to accidentally hit another key when trying to type fast. -Keyboard predictions actually make me slower, so for me it seems counter-intuitive.
We have to get used to any keyboards when we first use them :P I had struggles going from Dell to Lenovo, but somehow I actually love the new keyboard in the macbook. I do however agree that the predictions are rather useless, my guess is that they are for the elderly or new pc users that write slowly.
The Pixel Polygon good luck getting a mechanical keyboard into a pc that's literally thinner than the keycaps. Apple did a great job making the keyboard in a this thin pc if you ask me :) Obviously we all write faster when we get home on the main setup :P
Coming from a former longtime Apple hater, I gotta admit that I've come to seriously appreciate these Macbooks. The build quality and precision to which the components are engineered and machined are amazing, and they are probably the best QUALITY laptops on the market imo. And when I say quality, I don't mean specs and hardware bang-for-your-buck. I mean the overall quality of the machine. That includes the construction, OS, ease of use, and the overall way the laptop runs, which are all equally as amazing. My windows machines and the apps they run tend to show their age over time. My Macbooks have run consistently and reliably from the day I got them to the day I sold em. Great build quality means they don't take much effort to keep looking in new condition. Great brand means they aren't hard to sell used. Great customer support means that I don't have to murder anyone on the very rare occasion that a problem or defect appears. There are plenty of reasons why Macbooks are too expensive. But you cannot easily make the argument that you aren't getting your money's worth. For work purposes, they are reliable as hell. There's a reason why JPL buys their employees every new generation of Apple devices, and it's not because they're "overpriced."
While i agree that the price apple charges for dual core laptops is abysmal, i use a 2012 13" MacBook Pro 2.9ghz i7 Model non-retina, and it still flies through final cut pro x even at 4k, and after affects while not the greatest experience still works quite well on it. Funny how it actually manages better battery life than the newer 15" models even though it is almost 5 years old. With the hardware optimization the dual core cpus at least for most things are more than adequate.
$3500 USD (especially since I'm in Canada), is a ridiculous price for a laptop. An $800 CAD laptop would be amazing for my. I just personally can't understand that level of laptop. It gets to the point where you're paying $200 or $1000 for minor additions that I can't even appreciate. But clearly there's an audience. I just hate when broke college students pull out their MacBooks that they don't even understand why it's more expensive. Like they don't even appreciate those things, but they still spent the money. I don't appreciate those things... and also I don't spend the money.
He forgot to mention the insanely underpowered discreet GPU in the 15" model, which actually performs on par with Iris Pro 580, and for the 13" the 8GB of default RAM and charging you $200 to go up to 16GB...
Its not the best GPU of course but not underpowered as Apple control the software themselves they have optimized the os and graphics drivers which makes it perform much better than you imagine.
Again fanboy, you have NO IDEA what you're talking about. Go see the benchmarks for the new 10-series NVidia which all high-end PC laptops come with. What Apple gives you is, once again, obsolete technology they get at a bargain to rip you off. They assume you don't know any better. You just proved it...
$3500 fucking dollars. Go to hell, Apple. I've replaced my MacBook Pro with a higher spec Windows laptop for $1000 less. Once a loyal Apple supporter. Bye.
there are two ways to rate a computer: purely specs, and specs + price. If you look at a MacBook pro 15 inch, it is a very well built laptop, however, it does not worth it's price. I would price it to be $1500, but apple priced it at $2800, which is disgustingly expensive.
MIC MUTED U r not going to see me shelling out for the MacBook Pro or Apple's crazy ports, but u still r not comparing Apples with Apples. The Dell has distinctly inferior screen, case and touch pad, plus it only runs Windows or Linux, not macOS (the MacBook runs all 3 OSes) along w the mostly inferior software on those OSes (unless u waste vast amounts of time Gaming).
But you'd be stuck with Windows. Or Linux, if you're less masochist. Joshua refers to a specialized machine. How many "normal Joe's" want to have multiple GPUs working in parallel?
@@peterbreis5407 how is Adobe inferior :p you can do everything you need on it. There's fl and ableton for the daws and you still have things like blender and cinema 4d. Also the build quality is pretty darn good. Maybe not as good as a mac book but it's almost there. You can also hackintosh a dell xps 15 9550 with the WiFi card swapped. the screen of the 9550 is 4k, touch screen and has a 100% adibe rgb gamut so it's pretty darn good.
I get two Thunderbolt ports, but 4? Why? My Thinkpad x1 has two usb c, two usb type A, one HDMI, a micro Ethernet and a Kensington lock, while being 0,3 cm thicker. Tell me, that it is a worthwhile tradeoff....

Dual Core? for 2.9k? Great deal
Colezz 🤔🤔 you get a 6700hq for the $2,400 15" model, you only get dual cores on the 13" models. Get your facts straight.
Monkey Dual Cores are horrible, vs it against the price.
It's a dual core with HyperThreadibng tho
Jeremy Clarkson Now that makes it better.
Colezz But that matters for virtualization.
how can anyone justify a dual core laptop for 2,900 dollars?
soju69jinro It has an apple logo on it lol
soju69jinro apple did, and they are selling out.
You cant compare the specs of an apple laptop with a windows one, MacOs has great optimisation so it runs like a quad core on windows.
YourPalCal true but for me its more like how much more awesome could things be with more powerful hardware. Even if the laptop was slightly heavier and thicker it would probably destroy the competition... That would push the entire industry forward... Everyone would be better off that way right?
I agree with you but people don't seem to understand that specs on OSX don't match up with those running Windows.
Why are people personally offended by Apple products?
Because they're expensive
Money, Apple rants are some of the most viewed videos on TH-cam. The irony is Linus likes Apple, but he has to bitch the brand for likes.
Overpriced hardware with overbearing owners being too loud about their purchases.
Overpriced, locked down ecosystem of hardware, underpowered. Other similarly priced hardware blows it out of the water.
over expensive hardware with an OS that is barely supported by applications, that also mainly uses old hardware too....
Linus: you guys are probably hacking Linux onto a Chromebook
Me: I'm watching on a Chromebook and have Ubuntu dual booted!
Well, given that, ChomeOS is just a stripped down Linux, you now just have two Linux distros :)
Both Chrome OS and Android are Linux distributions.
He did bring up both positives and negatives about the laptop so it did seem pretty fair
There are over 40,000 MacBooks at Google. Their employees prefer it. I guess they are just a bunch of amateurs..
But hey, let NON-PROFESSIONALS tell us why the Macbook pro is not good for pro's.. noobs.
No ESC Key? thats taking it too far....
There is, it's just a soft key on the touch bar.
lol
I heard they're dropping the shift keys by June...
Anton Kuznetsov yeah and also the dropping the screen by december
you can reconfigure caps lock to be the escape key in settings. never use caps lock anyway
I don't get the target user for this systems. I heard people saying they're gonna use this as their main editing machine, but sounds ridiculous. It's a mid range laptop priced at high end.
maybe the same targeted user as before? maybe people who prefer a nicer operating system then the pos called windows? maybe people not beeing poor and thinking a million times about every penny they spend?
or maybe fucking stupid people like yourself. windows 10 is as good as mac osx
=))) you make me laugh:)))
Final Cut Pro is really good, and it is only on MacOS.
Mineav who even use dvd in 2017.....
??? when do you ever need bend your laptop??????
why are you using a dvd drive in 2017??
I just bought a used 13 inch MacBook Pro from 2011 for $300 bucks. Put in a 120GB SSD with a 50/50 split for Windows 10 and Mac OS. Bought a new battery for $100 and installed the original 500GB HDD for data storage in the DVD slot bay for another $30.
Now I have a quick laptop with a good solid body, battery (6-7 hours), backlit keyboard, and a display with great color (Resolution is meh) for only $530
I save my gaming for my desktop.
I don't see why I would need this MacBook Pro at all.
Noco506 I'll have it jkjk I'm not that guy
But do you need dongles to attach anything to it?
No? Then it's obsolete... :D
Noco506, correct me if I'm wrong, but you will not be able to upgrade your OS in 1.5 years or so.
Which OS? Not sure about Mac OS; I actually haven't used it in about a month. As for Windows 10... I don't see myself needing a different OS other than Windows 10
Maybe 'Pro' stands for 'Problems'.
It means Prone to attracting haters :)

FIGHTTHECABLE but how do you cool it
Sgt Brobee I am pretty sure Linus will come up an idea. Watercooled with outside mounted radiators or the case has air vents built in. Should also be drop resistant, etc.
The power supply will be a fun bit
you can just attach wheels and make your pc case a suitcase
You guys should get a hardcore apple user on your staff.
Why.
So they don't have to do reviews just from the perspective of a non-apple user. Most people who are looking to get an apple product are already apple users and would probably get more value from the words of someone who knows the apple ecosystem. That being said, Linus seems to have become very knowledgeable about Apple products making such a need less significant.
keco185 why would they want an anchor to pull down the team?
Insertnamehere; Every ship needs and anchor.
honestly, i agree
Simple answer: No
Longer answer: The MacBook Pro is a decent laptop but not worth the $3,500 price tag for the highest end model, not to mention the incessant need to have dongles JUST to make full use of the ports.
The dongles are big, bulky, and do not come with the $3,500 product. Yes, they are alienating people
Even cheap, bottom end video cards can come with passive adapters, and some laptops as well.
The portability is nice, until you have to carry a bag full of dongles.
Why the heck do I have to buy separate dongles just to use regular USB?
Armagan Sengül because of courage
Armagan Sengül Wow you people are really fucking dumb.. The USB C is the fastest port of all, soon all flash drives will be made for it, so no dongles
Kai Kåsa We are dumb? Do you even know what it means? I think the word you want to use is 'stupid'. But you're too "dumb" to know that.
Kai Kasa you're right though... as soon as USB C becomes standard Apple will switch to something else to force you to buy adapters
Griffin S Depends, if something faster is made after USB C is standard, then sure, Apple will start to use it
My problem with this 2016 mac book is that it costs more than my gtx 1080 gaming laptop with an i7 6700k cpu.
Michael Whitney what laptop u have??? i dont need specs. just name, model
It's called an Octane III though it's from a UK company in the UK called PCspecialist. If you're in the USA then the Origin EON-17x I believe is the exact same laptop uses a clevo chassis. Think Sager in the USA also do the same laptop.
***** ok sweet. ill check it out
***** oh shit that cost some $$$$
Probonoman yep not cheap lol.
Macbook user here, the only thing Mac did better than any other laptops is their LCD screen. Looks stunning. *throw money into trash bin*
senpai pls How can you say "any other"? I've seen a better screen on a laptop which was a lot cheaper.
Ondřej Pekárek never seen any. Any laptops I've seen other than the Macbook got shitty monitor
senpai pls you can find OLED screens on laptops, actually they are WAAAAAAY better than any LCD screen out there, also you can find 4k screens sooooo
Apples P3 accuracy is actually pretty abysmal. I read this review a couple days ago: nofilmschool.com/2016/12/new-mac-pro-filmmakers-review
Scroll down a bit for P3 stuff.
It goes above and beyond that when properly calibrated: www.anandtech.com/show/10116/the-dell-xps-15-9550-review/6
So no, the display alone is also not that special.
DDR3 memory, really?
i know right
don't forget the dual core cpu
maloviv 123 You don't know! Those are two PRO cores! And this is iDDR PRO 3! :D
its quad core on 15 inch
Are you referring to Hyperthreading? That's not "quad-core", its a shitty dual core with two virtualized cores. A true quad-core has four physical cores and four virtualized cores.
Mac components:
specs = $500
apple logo $3,500
Everything but the RAM is expensive as fuck. If I go on PCPartspicker and fucking build a nearly identical PC I would get an over 1,000 USD PC without a case, keyboard, mouse, or monitor

Apple have ALWAYS gone for mass market appeal and the uneducated consumer. When you realize this their products start to make more sense.
_Macbook pro_, just a high end ultrabook, but if some college student bought a laptop with a skylake chip with his/her teribble credit card, all they're going to notice is that "this is faster than any windows laptop I've ever used."
_Apple earpods_, poor bastard spends 300$ on earbuds for his iphone 7, apple mows down on the 300hz, 500hz, 1.5 khz, and turns up 12khz, 14khz, all someone is going to notice is "these sound WAY more comfortable than my beats".
_Trashcan_, 3d cg major who knows nothing about computers, gets a 6 core cpu desktop they can build for half the price, it's going to work just fine for them.
_I-phone 7_, "wow this is fast."
_Retina_,"great screen."

HelixsoulX beats suck too
Sgt Brobee Don't get me started on Beats, they have no shame in their marketing.

USB-C can charge, stream Ultra HD video, Transfer data at extremely fast rates.
"Hack the crap out of it" , I approve Linus.
"...so Apple and probably other companies will continue to design and produce flawed hardware..." knowing that their customers will eat it happily.
Тофиг Исаев yup nailed it, I just hate it when I see people through away money on apple pcs and macbooks thinking they got a bargain
Тофиг Исаев Thats a much better way of putting it.

"Dongle book pro" that is the most accurate thing I have ever heard! xD
It is the most biased thing I've ever heard, In a couple of years if any other ports exist except for USB 3 it will be old and outdated. This is what future proofing looks like.

Dylan H no computers have them in stock configuration
Dylan H that's actually the one I think
So basically, the "Pro" is the Mac-equivalent of the iPhone's "Plus"? A agree..
pcfreak1992 not really
"Pro" is for profit.
Okay, but Apple fantards won't get the joke. ^^
ehh, no.

NOPE, neither, FloatPlane isn't on TH-cam, it's a separate service, thats why they keep talking about how much better the bitrate for FloatPlane is over TH-cam.

- LS
I can't wait for 2023 when I finally can afford this beast!
It 2021 so almost 😏
*laughs in m1 macbook air*
I’m pretty sure you can afford it now
Point that needs to be made, ITS NOT WORTH 3500$...no fucking way
Utterly over-priced, and the port situation is an utter mess.
A mess? No its the opposite. You just have to connect a dock with one USB-cable and you've got all your desktop stuff connected.
+Per Karlsson If you are a professional video editor, you need at least 3 dongles just for proper editing functionality.
Per Karlsson No, it's still a mess, and like he points out, some still won't just work.
Its not a mess if you know what you are doing! Do you?
Nope you just need one dock with multiple ports. Or maybe just a card reader which are native so NO dongle required if you edit on the field.
Of course you might need an external disk or monitor also but for that all you have to switch them to USB-C cables.
For that money you could get a damn car
For that money you could get a damn car and build a nice desktop*
Does it have to be a 'damn' car?
CaveManta Yes, it gives it extra flavour
Damn straight!
So? If you need a laptop it doesn't really matter if you could buy some old car with the same money, that car is not gonna do the things a laptop does.
You could replace the word car with any other word and it would make as much sense.
Really love the way you combine humor with relevance. It makes the video way more easy to watch

Ben H. its a good product but there are better products out there with less markup. for apple you are paying for the brand
However, a lot of apple users I've talked to have this idea PCs/windows are less reliable, but it's really down to the quality of the device.
no escape? i just...... no
yeah how can you live with a software escape button, end of the world!
its no criticism its just idiotic rants by butthurt people. nobody brings up any reasons for their views just kiddies without money thats all.
Tyson Romaniuk f b oibobbp iu
Adapters for everything, this is why I am against pure Thunderbolt connectivity on laptops, and still prefer legacy ports, like USB 3.0, Ethernet, SD reader, etc etc
Its got USB! USB-C!
Big fucking deal! So does a $500 Pavillion!
Andrew Hunt usb C is the future, it's clear. But if you put a future laptop into the present, it'll suck.
9:53 bro, I put Linux on everything, including my microwave
I put it on my cat
Oh wow, a brand new cutting board for my wife, I'll buy it...
San Ace its too thin. She will cut right through it.
People keep saying you could get a car with that money. Clearly if you're spending the money on this computer, you don't really care.
Who fucking cares. There will always be someone who is willing to drop $3.5k and up on something that isn't worth it.
BOX STYLE IS ALWAYS IN STYLE BABY!!!
reese fobes You are one hell hole of a person.
$3500? i could build an amazing pc with that
But it wouldn't be a laptop or have the single best display panel out there. I won't be buying one any time soon, but there are certain things that you can only get with a MacBook, and Apple can charge for that exclusivity.
but is not just dual core i7
is quad core i7 there a very huge diference
Folopolis it doesn't have the best panel not even close
deathstalker 1234 Name a better one.
Stugem S I already did! My PC blows anything Apple makes out of the water, which is especially sad because I'm an idiot. What excuse do Apple "engineers" have? Apple is a crap company with crap products and crap customer service. I refuse to buy anything with that stupid logo on it.
whens this dongle book 2017 coming out
Marcus Anderson it's already out dummy
You're NOT a pro, fanboy, and you have NO IDEA what pros want and need.
Paolo Pizzi
I am and I do know! So do Apple of course.
I prefer the Alienware with Oled screen and 32 gigs of ram two ssd 1070 gtx. Still 1000$ cheaper than this.
jennifergala and it looks like shit, is so heavy and thick that it’s a non-portable laptop, and has a user experience on par with a rock. I’m not going to defend the price of the mb because it really is absurd, but you shouldn’t be buying a laptop for raw power since it’s not going to be able to keep itself cool and will just throttle itself. Buy a MacBook Pro/XPS if you need a laptop, and a custom PC if you want raw power.
did you just claim that apple laptops have less cooling problems than an alienware? lmao
Ok that's fine other people have opinions
The only Alienware machine with an OLED display is the 13" model, and that doesn't come with a GTX 1070.
When my 1500$ Lenovo beats a 3500$ MacBook "Pro"
Blarg King Specs on yours?
i7 6700HQ, 16GB DDR4-2400, GeForce 950M 4GB, 256GB M.2 SSD, 1 TB HDD.
With the added bonus of being able to upgrade my ram, ssd, and hdd.
@Thomas Barnhart, i would pay 300$ for this one. At lest thats better than the 1500 macbooks that i dont even want to get paid for to use.
WTF, it has an active cooling system? How dare you make a sensible decision, Apple!
Apple makes mostly smart and sensible decisions but unfortunately most people does not understand just how smart Apples decisions are until a year or two along the line.
Per Karlsson Next year, the current MacBook Pro is going to be fantastic.
CaveManta Bullshit.
I think you meant "Proripherals and Proformance".
Apple = because you have more money than sense.
Jordan Gibson You understood humanity
Apples products actually are kinda cheap as they most often last longer because of better build they look better and they are easy to use.
DBrand for when you want to make your expensive product look tacky and cheap
😂😂😂
One question, who cares? There is a reason we build our own pc
Not everyone builds their own pc. Not everyone is like you.
husssein are you comparing a laptop to a tower dumbass?
the reason being, as Linus said in the video, they are selling like hot cakes, and i find it interesting to know why
becuase this is a laptop and not a desktop
Dr. Savage Yea this argument happens in every computer video, it gives me aids when a random fuck simply says"build a PC"
I would rather buy 2 desktop PCs, instead of carrying this around.
actually, you can get 3 PCs with 2 times better performance for the same price, or even 1 PC and a gaming laptop
And you can buy a dongle for it..only $99.9999999 ;p
that's almost 100 dollars
Must be the new currency.
dollarcoin
I looove the trackpad on the Macbook... and that's where it ends.
Mac OS, Apple Ecosystem, Retina Display, great speakers, Final Cut Pro, etc , etc.
I've been using mac os for a while and haven't run into restrictions, I only ran into differences between systems that I solved so I can work with both systems without readjusting all the time..
named epic gamer? yeah this is a 13 year old
You know what irks me the most? Is all the hate comments saying "omg this isn't a pro device" etc when 99% of those people aren't "pros" anyways.
Funnily enough the MacBook Pros are probably the most popular laptops among real pros.
Per Karlsson maybe right now but wait for a year then lets talk.
Per Karlsson why would you spend even more money to do something that should have been in the laptop at first?
Soldered ram and storage.
Yeah.. it's a laptop
That's not a rule. Older MacBooks were much more repairable and moddable. The latest ones have everything soldered and industrially glued so that if something breaks, you can't replace the part.
Not storage. Also, would you prefer a brick (like my MacBook) from 2010
Not sure about storage. Its PCIE or the new sata.
Soldered CPU, GPU, RAM and storage. Bought a base model with 256GB flash storage due to financial constraints and now need more space? No problem, just buy a new Macbook Pro. Nice one Apple!
$3500? I could have a girlfriend with that...
if you put in a little more cash you'd can set yourself up with all you need to make amateur porn in your basement, including a girlfriend AND a hoker.
Holy crap that would be one heck of a hooker for $3500. Either she's worth it and you got lucky or she isn't and you got screwed. See what I did there?
both ways he was going to get screwed :)
Jhonnel Pica 3500? You mean 3.500.000..
Or a car
The thing that is usually overlooked with Apple products is the fact they are not just putting a Windows or free Android OS on it they are actually making exclusive software including whole OSes for them and sometimes even exclusive hardware that other manufacturers just buy from other companies e.g. SoCs on iPhones and iPads. All that makes some considerable difference. But in devices that have lower sales like computers all that stuff makes their devices way more expensive than competitors while in devices with higher sales like the iPhone they can stay more competitive.
3.5K.... jezus.... well I guess that if you are dropping 1000USD for a phone and 150USD for earbuds you may as well add 3.5K for a laptop :x
An MBP with Touch Bar doesn't have to cost 3500. They are available for far less.
Yeah with a dual core CPU, common it's not 2001 anymore :x
No no no there are Quad Core MBPs with Touch Bar for around 2000 dollars from some dealers.

Garbage, just like the Airpods. Which means it's perfect for current Apple lovers.
ahm... hipsters, oh sorry I mean people who ask there parents for car, but end up selling it for 30 FPS on CSGO.
Raydeus AirPods are the best wireless earbuds available at the moment
Linus made a review for the AirPods as well, which was very good and informative.
+David Kafka I can't disagree with you, because you said, "Earbuds," and not, "Earphones".
the air pods are actually good... even has third party product capabilities
Well at least they didn't remove the audio jack.
i honestly think that was the most fair review i have ever heard
Paolo Pizzi Final Cut Pro works pretty well tho
The lack of an SD card by itself invalidates the fact that it's meant for pros.
"I like it because it's pretty"
TalesOfWar hating it for being expensive is a completely valid reason to hate it
TalesOfWar no its because apple is charging more than its worth
Who hates technology? A derpmaster?
To be honest I entered to this video thinking that it will be the typically PC guy busting the MacBook, but it was a really professional look pointing out the pros and cons of the new MacBook. Keep it up guys
I tried the keyboard on the DongleBook Pro at a local Best Buy
-It's too easy to accidentally hit another key when trying to type fast.
The Pixel Polygon just saying, hitting keys accidentally when typing fast doesn't mean the keyboard is bad. It means you can't type fast :)
I type better on my regular mechanical keyboard.
The Pixel Polygon good luck getting a mechanical keyboard into a pc that's literally thinner than the keycaps. Apple did a great job making the keyboard in a this thin pc if you ask me :) Obviously we all write faster when we get home on the main setup :P
I type better on my laptop. And that thing is 3 years old!
He wasn't as harsh as I would liked him to be.
Dogac Toklu Ikr, that was the only reason I came to watch this review :(
Maybe because the laptop is not as bad as he thought?
Essential EDM
spending your time to watch critic in hopes that he would affirm your belief? Classy.
Otis Wykks I take it you used a dictionary just to make your comment sound half decent.
Or maybe he just managed to graduate high school. It isn't his fault 'u cant word gud'.
This seems very anti-consumer.
Why do people buy in to this crap?
KeptYouWaiting because of the sheep
Because its actually a great machine to use (the base model 13 inch one)
YourPalCal it is great for a lower price
YourPalCal you : it's actually a great machine to use
me: *looks at the base model price* HOLY SHIT
YourPalCal not 2000+ dollars great.
With that amount of money, I could get a mid range gaming laptop and a FULL mid range- high range gaming desktop.
Love the subtle comedy Linus. Great video.
Where's that USBKiller when you need it.
Thank you for the in-depth review. Much appreciated
This should be called "A Normal guys review"
Andrew Lewis why.
Because it's an honest review, not done by an Apple fanboy or hater.
Why would he review normal guys?
See what I did there? lol
Andrew Lewis well a normal person is actually a tard that probably doesn't even use I/O or know what a graphics card is, so...
#LinusTouchTips
Think we should take a minute to respect the great editing and camera work from the LTT team. Keep up the great work lads
4 seconds into the video and windows 10 ad shows up
This is the best general review of the machine out there.
Amazingly unbiased review!
More power to you my friend.
Look at ingame benchmarks and you will see that the 460 performs consistently better then the iris and by a decent margin.
QuantumBraced 200$ for 8gb of ram...
u do not understnd...... in 5 years this apple WILL still work, but your uber gaming laptop will not......
$3500 fucking dollars. Go to hell, Apple. I've replaced my MacBook Pro with a higher spec Windows laptop for $1000 less. Once a loyal Apple supporter. Bye.
when I look through their online store I feel so bad for all the people who spend so much money on aluminum cases of potatoes.
there are two ways to rate a computer: purely specs, and specs + price. If you look at a MacBook pro 15 inch, it is a very well built laptop, however, it does not worth it's price. I would price it to be $1500, but apple priced it at $2800, which is disgustingly expensive.
ooh thunderbolt ports. My mom's going to plug a logitech mouse into one of those puppies.
Actually USB-C ports. With TB compability.
have you done a hackintosh laptop video?
just imagine the type of pc you could build for that price, I'm talking sli 1080ti's, i7 8700k, custom water cooling ect
I know u r a PC user but how did you fail to notice that the Macbook Pro is a laptop.
@@peterbreis5407 well you could probably get a fully speced out xps 15 for that price which has better performance and cooling
In the near future, ports will become more unified, and it will be a VERY good thing. Apple is leading on that front, as usual.
