Caleb Lundy I don’t know the math for that. It revs good. How fast depends on the gearing and tire size. We were always more into quickness than top end speed. The places he raced had a lot of corners and short straight a ways. We wanted it to pull hard out of the corners.
A big bore kit won’t do near as much as porting and head milling. If you want your LT80 to go fast, get ahold of Jack Moore. He is the man when it comes to LT80’s. His username on most atv forums is LT80.
I can’t remember the sizes and I sold the quad. The rears are slightly smaller DWG’s on stock wheels. The fronts are taller Razrs on 4 bolt Honda wheels, using adapters. I think I mentioned tire size in one of the videos.
@@Mudford thanks for your time! Just trying to get idea for my daughters if like to do the control arms like you did but I just don't trust my welding lol did you ever see what the top speed was to that little lt80 with the mods?
TheJmhoward Jack is a great guy. He emailed me to ask me how my boy was doing racing. When I had some problems and couldn’t find the parts I needed, he had them and rushed them to me. When I had the quad for sale after it was outgrown, Jack shared my for sale ad on Facebook. On top of that, I don’t think there is a person alive who knows how to get as much power out of an LT80 engine as Jack.
Thanks. I have a 1987 lt80 and I love your videos on the lt80. They have helped me a lot. I wish I could do all the modifications to mine but unfortunately money is a thing😂😂
My cylinder and piston are coming in today thank you for the video
Good video but doesn't show taking the full thing apart
What lube should I use when assembling top end for wrist pin beading? Thx
So only curious 2 millimeters over how many cc would that be? and how fast do you think it would go?

What's the break in process after doing new top end?
We really don't do anything special. I just try to get it ready with enough time for some easier rides on the new engine before a race.
What fuel ratio do you use?
How long does it take to put a new top end on ALT80?
It doesn’t take me long. It’s not difficult. The more times you do it the faster you get.
what brand of suspension u running ?
Elkas. Got them from teixeiratech.com
How fast will it go if I put a big bore kit on it

Mudford ok thanks man
What wheel/tire combo is that? Size etc

What did you pay for him to build the motor if u dont mind me asking? Thanks
TheJmhoward It was just under $1,000 for his “National” engine.
Was that with him providing the parts
TheJmhoward Yes, plus the cost of shipping the engine to him and back.
Thanks alot

What is the top speed of your lt80?
Caleb Lundy I’ve had only had it just over 30mph with my 250lbs on it. I think it’s around 40 mph with my boy on it.
