Well we'll see Arbiter and his faction of elites in Halo 5, I imagine they're very much the same elites we know from the games you mentioned. These elites are of a different alliance and seem to be very different in personality.

I mean yeah, Fireteam Osiris is one of the best Spartan teams ever(regardless of how people feel about the story of Halo 5). Why do you think they were the ones sent after the BEST Spartan team ever? Majestic is pretty damn good...Osiris is even better. Then obviously Blue Team is just insane/legendary.
>I hope they make her a central character. Are you joking? Palmer is the most bland/generic strong “whamen” character I’ve ever seen. She does nothing, has a bitchy attitude to everyone, including Master Chief and has an attitude that she believes she’s better than everyone else. She’s just flat out bland and annoying.
Look at this, in all honesty this entire story and plot is significantly more interesting, unique, entertaining then Halo 5. It makes sense, it has character growth and depth. The characters in this show has more depth to them then any characters in halo 5, even chief, halsey and arbiatrt who already have backstory. The fighting scenes are more well directed, the protagonists are more interesting. This is what halo story should be like. How does a main series game have a significantly worse story then a side story, how in gods world does it?!! also Thorn over lock any fucking day. Especially knowing how halsey hinted him being more of a spartan than the other spartan IV's
You know what's funny? Spartan Ops was also written by Brian Reed. Seems odd to think that he could craft such a fascinating story here, yet botch it all for Halo 5. You can literally tell the re-writes that must have happened during Halo 5's development due to Microsoft or some other source. I wish less people whined when Halo 4 came out. Half the reason for all of this becoming inert was simply because of community backlash. So all that bitching and whining people did about Halo 4's story, spartan ops, etc only led to a worse game in the end.
***** Honestly i thought the same, seeing all the backlash that brian reed got kinda got to me. I loved spartan ops and was just baffled by how halo 5 came out to be. The community backlash is a major cause like you said. Many people didn't like how corona died and ta da, look who is back. and even the actual game, due to the community saying the game was too dark in the beta they lightened things up in the final release and now everything looks flashy and way too bright. sucks
Probably one of the few times I'll say I wish they hadn't listened to the community for the most part haha. While the changes to the multiplayer itself were really, really good, the backlash to the story and spartan ops caused a shift in how the story of Halo 5 went that I wish hadn't happened. But yeah, sucks.
sami Hossain plus the art style for the spartans here is the combination of militaristic, futuristic and aint fucking plastic. This is what armors should look like in game, they even used the good looking ones.
@@AuroraWolf655 I never played Spartan Ops, but I did play Halo 5. I am struck in these cut scenes by just how much more I like Fire Team Majestic versus Fire Team Osiris. I could never connect with Osiris, even Buck wasn't as good as he was in ODST. These Majestic characters (and other spartans) actually have some humanity to them, almost feels like in 5 we should have played as Sarah Palmer instead of Locke.
Honestly that was one of my most favorite moments from Spartan Ops. The new Spartans never went through the hardships the original Spartans did that made them so....effective. It goes to show you that Spartans were no longer under secrecy of ONI and now in the hands of the UNSC. However, the origin of the original Spartans is only a rumor to Spartan IVs. Meaning they were basically staring at a myth right in front of them.
+Strappleberry Nifkin They have changed tactics. They've become much more nefarious, as the need to focus all of their resources on stopping a 30 year apocalyptic war of extermination kept them sort of honest in the past, now it's like they have too much time on their hands and nothing better to do than plot and scheme against internal UNSC factions and even their allies like the Swords of Sangelios.
@@thearchitect5405 It's not only armor, but pure physical strength too. Spar 2 could definitely rip a Spar4 arm off in an armorless fight if they wanted to
Wow, no matter what people say, Lasky is actually my favorite Halo character of all time. He survived the fall of Reach with only a fraction of marine training, and now he's the captain of infinity. To bad he can't stay forever since his body reacts really badly from cryosleep and shows that its basically lethal to him. Based on the lore, he was going through medical discharge right before the covenant attacked. Luckily John saved him, but his squad mates didn't survive. Long live the Captain
The battle you're referring to is the "Battle of Circinius IV" and not "The fall of Reach". John-117 saved the surviving members of Hastati Squad (cadets Thomas Lasky, Michael Sullivan and April Orensky) throughout the destruction of Corbulo Academy of Military Science (CAMS) during the glassing of the UEG colony Circinius IV.
Also cryosleep isn’t lethal, he just gets blisters and has a hard time breathing for a while after cryosleep. It’s an allergic reaction to a chemical they use to stop crystals from forming in their blood
Why is it Palmer was able to kill prometheans in one shot to the head with her magnums but when I did that I had to waste who knows how many magazines in order to make it flinch.
That's what makes you a fanboy. You hate them because you hate change. You had this idea of what Spartans and Halo should be, and then along came Halo 4 and changed everything. Consenting adult volunteers instead of kidnapped brainwashed child-soldiers? Oh noes! Get over it. This is how the new Spartans are. Dry your nerdrage tears and move on.
***** You are trying to be a hardass and failing.. 'nerdrage tears'? Take your juvenile meme ad hominems somewhere else. I don't like them because whatever Spartan IV's can do, ODSTs can and have already done. I personally have a massive respect for ODSTs as humans at the peak of their potential but without augmentations. Spartan IV's are literally 'good' marines with augments and powerful suits. Also, I do not like the attitude of the Spartan IV's apart from Thorn's. Thorns is the only Spartan that follows orders like a true spartan and doesn't allow ego to get in the way. If you want to be a cowboy, you can a marine. But there are no cowboys in the Spartans and all I saw in this video was wild wild west style attitude.
***** and you actually think spartan 4s can take on spartan 2s ? u are in a fairy tale land boy spartan 2s are the elites of super steroid machines there is no chance spartan 4s will cope with the strengths of spartan 2s
Master Chief Petty Officer Spartan John-117 I never read Escalation. That was the problem with Halo 5. It had all these tie ins to other source material that made most fans feel like they had to have read all of it to even begin to grasp the story. I was able to understand the story fine, but I still thought it was lousy.
I almost forgot how cool a story spartan ops had. For a little side game mode it added so much to the new trilogy story, and I personally think its told really well.
Man, everyone gives so much hate towards the Spartan IVs. You know, 343 never intended for them to be equal to the old spartans. In fact, that's one of the major themes of Spartan Ops. Halsey consistently looks down upon them because they can never aspire to her own spartans (and Thorne respects her for that). ONI wants a new generation of 'spartans' that doesn't depend on kidnapping children. They think they can replace the spartans (including chief) with their own (which will never be successful). This will probably be the theme of Halo 5g with Locke and Chief.
To be fair, Halsey looks down on them because she is an egocentric megalomaniac, so how could the new guys be better than _her_ guys, you know? The Spartan IV's may no be "better," one-on-one, compared to the old Spartan II's, but they are more -- way, way more -- and are just good _enough_, which makes them a way more efficient and cost-effective alternative to training and raising soldiers since childhood just so that they can, one day, aspire to be the equivalent of Golden Elite warriors. Fuck that.
@Alejandro Castellanos Perhaps Halsey's opinion can go both ways for this discussion, but even so that's not the point I'm trying to make. I'm trying to say that people shouldn’t hate the S-IVs just because they're not S-IIs. They are essentially regular people with regular emotions/attitudes who are aspiring to be Spartans (and these themes of contrast are reflected in Spartan Ops). They're presence and demeanor fit just fine in the reclaimer saga and I wish people could just accept that.
josh11735 I guess you are correct. Honestly, I'd like for the remaining Spartan II's to go nuts and become bad guys, or something, but that's not likely to happen.
Alejandro Castellanos without the SPARTAN-II and the research that came with it, not even IIIs or IVs would exist. Downgraded yeah, at least it gets Spartans going.
Technically by Halo Wars 2 lore, there are several species of the members of the Covenant. This species of Sanghelli might not have been for fast paced combat
yg L what a shitty piece of lore to put into halo. They should have just stuck with the normal elites because their designs were far better and they are far more intimidating in combat.
That’s because these guys are not like the same Elites during Halo 1-3. Basically it’s like comparing the real Elites who joined humanity vs these fanatic idiot Elites as the US Military vs ISIS respectively. These new Elites just lack conviction unlike the real Elites.
The Master Chief Arbiter and Locke actually had very similar childhoods. They all were pushed and highly trained as children the Arbiter was supposed to be the greatest Warrior of his family and Locke had to train at a young age to become a brilliant Soldier forced by his parents just without the augmentations like the master chief had.
I loved how Halsey reacted to Roland telling her about chiefs debrief because of how shocked and happy she is to hear that the closest thing she ever had to a son is still alive after the human covenant war
@@AstralAnubes yeah she was way closer to her adopted children than her own biological child because she was more invested in them. She still loved her daughter though but she also loved her Spartan children more than she wanted.
Seems like everytime they introduce a new plot they decide to scrap it: Requiem blown up in this, Didact sidelined in a shitty comic, the Absolute Record/Janus Key in another, Jul 'Mdama in first level of H5, the "Hunt the Truth" story *before it's even released*... I can see them doing the same with "evil Cortana", resolving it early in 5 before moving on to a new threat, which would be half a relief (what a shitty plotline) and half further frustration. 343 needs to get its shit together, I'm half-convinced they're *trying* to make a poor plot (is it *really* that hard to write a story that's simply *average* rather than offensively inane?)
It wasn't her S2's that caused her to be branded a war criminal, bearing in mind that the woman Lasky spoke to, the leader of ONI, is one of the failed S2's who died but got revived, she later read Halsys journal and came to hate her, but the reason she was branded a war criminal was something to do with the S3's, something like she tried to get the S3's to force a surrender to the covenant or something
+James “D3ADGAM3R” Hill No, she didn't try to force a surrender or anything. She kidnapped an S2 and went to the planet where she found out the S3's were being trained. She thought humanity was doomed and wanted to save her 'children' the Spartans by getting them to a Forerunner shield world. She always puts humanity first. But sometimes her real humanity comes out.
ALL of which was sanctioned by ONI (apart from the clones. She did that to help her conscience). She was branded a criminal as an easy scapegoat. But her budget, and the people that trained - and operated on and killed all those Spartans, were killed because ONI and the UNSC made it happen.

I did like what Spartan Ops was trying to do but the main problem with it (IMO) was that I always felt that I was on the wrong team. I mean Majestic team looked like an actual team, they had (or at least displayed in the cutscenes) personality amongst them, they cared for each other and they ended up coming together as a team. Whereas Crimson was a group of literal faceless, nameless drones who most of the time ended up clearing "over there" while the plot is happening elsewhere. Yes it was me and my friends, but when my character(s) are clearly absent from every cutscene and it made me feel like an extra in this story! Anyone know what I mean?
+Jake Hardy i wish they kept him in the original team like planned. he (at least i think he was) was supposed to be there instead of buck. i wish they had taken out tanaka for buck instead of thorne
Xander Michalkow true, but i guess introducing new Spartans (to the videogames) was their idea. Thorne didnt get the spotlight he should have gotten for being one of the main characters in spartan ops, so it would have been cool to see him. i had enough of palmer, but still better than Tanaka.
If he gets a good backstory, do you think that it would be alright if they killed off the master chief (as Steve Downs is going to retire at some point) and replace the main hero with Thorne?
+DoomsDayDan This is due to Brian Reed being a comic book writer. This style of writing, as Halo 5 shows, is not compatible with a video game narrative. This situation, however, could've been avoided had people not torn Halo 4 apart for its story, which was actually very good by Halo's standards. From what little we've seen of the original narrative for Halo 5, it was supposed to continue what Halo 4 started. Instead, people bitched and 343i, wishing to please its fans, listened to them, giving us the pitiful narrative that we got.
I mean, I hated/hate it because I played it (well , most of it) in MCC, so I didn't get to see the cutscenes. Without the cutscenes, it's just "land at place. Kill enemies. Activate thing. Clear LZ. Leave" over and over and over again. The story seems very good (now that I was able to see it here) but the gameplay was quite dull
The NuMbEr CoMpAnY bAd sect of the community is to blame for SO season 2 cancellation. The Jul death in H5 opening And now Osiris, Lasky, and Palmer being possibly killed off screen completely because the Bungieboiis had to have their way
I find it interesting that ONI's (or whoever was in charge of Halsey) scape goat ploy was so successful. Everyone blames Halsey, she took the fall entirely as if she wasnt authorised and given funding to do what she did.
@@michaelaguilera6946 I wouldn’t mind if Vale or Tananka were replaced because Osiris was lead, Buck was a fan favorite who earned being a Spartan, Vale learned to speak Sangheli so she was important for a while I guess but Tananka was poorly made and brought little importance so her being replaced with him makes more sense since he was on the Forerunner world and they were dealing with a Forerunner threat
one thing I don't understand is why people hate the Spartan IV's so much. they aren't meant to be replacements for spartan II's, but rather a middle man between ODST'S and older Spartans. What's more, they are former ODST'S and marines, they weren't trained from childhood to fight, so they will make mistakes, and show signs of being undisciplined when off the battle field
reason why they hate is because spartan IV's are of coursed undertrained, easily defeated by spartan II's and of course they sometimes think they are better than spartan II's
They hate them because they have no understanding of military logistics, or how the Spartan-IIs are actually a very stupid idea when examined from a realistic military perspective. Even S-IVs have equipment which costs as much as whole naval vessels, and S-IIs and S-IIIs take even longer and are more costly to train and equip, and have untenable "washout" rates where many of the conscripts die, which means the considerable material investment they represent end up being a total loss. S-IVs, however, offer I would say about 80-90% of the performance of prior Spartan generations, going by what we've seen of them, since they're still almost unmatched soldiers compared to the enemies the UNSC has to face. They do this at a fraction of the cost and time spent, and with far fewer ethical concerns. From a strategic standpoint, they're much more practical. Highly cost-effective. And that's to say nothing of the grotesque violations of military ethics inherent to using and experimenting on child soldiers, and it doesn't help that their augmentations are so dangerous that the first class of S-IIs lost more Spartans to the augmentation process than they did in combat. In fact, over half of them never even became operationally deployable. They started with 75 S-IIs, but only 33 successfully made it through the augmentation processes, and two of those committed suicide just weeks later because they met their crippled flash clones. The S-IIIs didn't suffer as many "washouts" but were not as dangerous on average either in terms of physical capabilities or training length, were still "child soldiers," and were specifically meant to sent on suicide missions.
Well, people hate the new halo in general, ever since Microsoft took over, people say they ruined halo. It's not a surprise that people also hate the Spartan IV's
I think that the gameplay for Spartan Ops was a sorry replacement for Firefight, but I love the story and I love the cutscenes. It’s just a shame that it abruptly ended like it did. If it had ran for several seasons I believe it could have become something truly special.

Remember, he was MIA at the end of 3 which is ONIs way of saying they are dead, but they don't want to admit it for morale purposes. Spartans never die, they just go missing in action
I gotta say, even tho DeMarco can be unprofessional at times, its usually just kept with his teammates. He can be shown to be a great leader and a good soldier when he needs to be. It's good that he can maintain that distinction
What a lot of people fail to understand is that the Spartan 4s were the official start to the Spartan military branch of the UNSC. Pervious generations of Spartans were made in secret and involved children that grew up to only know life as a Spartan. They knew no other behavior or life skills outside of being on duty and fighting. The Spartan 4s were different, they acted no different than any new military personal fresh out of boot. They only really earned their Spartan colors after the events of Halo 4 and older generations of Spartans treated them as less until then. I could go on and on but really this break down needs to be done by video.
9:10 ...what...is Halo doing? A Spartan punts 100,000 year old alien tech, and it stops trying to destroy the ship. A scientist, who would KNOW BETTER, plays the, "What does this button do?" game. ...what in the name of sanity?

haha I love how Halsey calls out the two Majestic Spartans in front of Palmer. I never got what she meant but she compliments Palmer on her discipline "first we taught them to be silent then we taught them to be Spartans..."
Kinda weird watching 2 Spartans behaving like teenage womanizers right off the bat, their augmentations obviously didn't come with decreased sex drive LOL. To me it just made them seem more undisciplined though, especially DeMarco after that comment "I saw her first!" *facepalm* Other than that damn I wish there were tons of clips like this one, awesome! Can never get enough of Halo
That's because these aren't truly Spartans in the other Spartan project ways. These guys are former service members of different branches of the armed forces who have attained the right to wear these new augmented suits which can be worn by normal humans. As a side effect, they bring their more 'human' personalities and flaws with them unlike the previous Spartans who knew nothing but discipline and war.

I hate the corporate bullshit that decided to ditch this Spartan Ops concept and storyline entirely rather than figure out why exactly it wasn't as liked as desired and fixing it. While I really like Halo Infinite, I HATE that Halo 4 and 5 are effectively pariahs in the series because instead of fixing what was wrong (which they've demonstrated they can do with Halo Infinite) Microsoft opted to see 4 as a failure, throw it all out, do something entirely different for 5, see it as a failure, and throw it all out. If they had approached Halo 4 like they did Halo Infinite in the first place, we'd at least have two Halo game installments after Halo 5 by now, and the gameplay and story and direction of the franchise would be solid and polished. They spent so much money on all these assets and obviously had plans in place for more content, such a waste to never have used them again and not explored more of this story.
Honestly, the missions are kind of repetitive.. It always goes, Blah Blah, clear the area! Blah Blah, Head to extraction, oh wait, clear some more! I'm sorry, don't bash me for this, just my opinion.
"Roland, is that a bomb? Can we give it back to them?" - how Chief would've dealt with the table, probably and I like how fireteam majestic is, well, fireteam majestic, and fireteam Crimson is just us, and some very untimely ordnance drops LMAO
I’m not sure it is, but the line from Halsey about her teaching the children to be silent before teaching them to be Spartans, is very similar to the actual practice of Spartan parents leaving their newborns out in the elements until they stopped crying, who knows what happened if they didn’t stop crying?
It was a 'Durance'. Basically the 'consciousness' of a living being. Normally they're Forerunner and used for more memorial-like purposes, but it's a different matter with those that have been composed.
Man, I remember when I first started playing Spartan Ops when Halo 4 first came out. In the beginning cut scene alone, after Infinity rammed through one of the Covenant carries, I instantly knew this would be awesome.
Dr. Halsey: "First we taught them how to be silent" Me: Ouch Dr. Halsey (to Palmer): "Then we taught them how to be Spartans" Me: Ohhhhh, you got BURNED bitch
the reason the Covenant/Human war used to be so badass and interesting was the fact that every fight was a struggle for the UNSC and only thing keeping humanity from extinction was the sacrifices of true heroes. Not to mention that the Covenant used to be an indomitable military force of massive proportions with complex cultural intricacies. Now the Covenant is no more than a rag-tag group of scavengers and bandits trying in vain to attack the now dominant UNSC and their nearly unlimited resources. What made the war great was how dire it was.
Nah, they shouldn't drop an entire universe worth exploring different stuff just for the sake of sentiment. Yes, old comment, I know. Anyway, point is, _yes_ we've seen the DIRE aspects of the Halo universe. But there is so much more to explore and see.
"Yeah, let's keep the universe in the same setting eternally just to satisfy nostalgic players, ignoring the fact that it wouldn't make sense ! This way the games will be stuck within a pattern that limits creativity and prevents the universe from expanding and evolving ! Yay, we're totally super fans of Halo and we totally understand it !" More seriously, this kind of comments really annoy me. We've had 3 game sof the UNSC being curbstomped and having to make sacrifices, so maybe it's time to move on and do something different, don't you think ?
It still blows my mind that this coincides a campaign full of multiple reused levels and is followed up by a game that downplays every fireteams actions during Ops within its first mission. The characters and story for Spartan Ops are still really great.
They're all marines, ODSTs, volunteers that joined the IV program. It wasn't as hardcore as the IIs and IIIs. They were more humane and less... Deadly.

So.. Damn... True.....
Am I the only one who liked thorn? It's like watching a master chief that's smaller and more curious. He seems to have the same drive as MC.

A lot of things happened in Escalation which made her change her mind.
Downgraded yeah, at least it gets Spartans going.
josh11735
Oh, My sweet summer child.
Why did 343 make the elites look like such bad fighters? They move so slow.
They look like power rangers
Technically by Halo Wars 2 lore, there are several species of the members of the Covenant. This species of Sanghelli might not have been for fast paced combat
yg L what a shitty piece of lore to put into halo. They should have just stuck with the normal elites because their designs were far better and they are far more intimidating in combat.
At least in this they win a couple of encounters, the elites in Halo 5 couldn't win against unarmored Grunts the way they fight.
They all were pushed and highly trained as children the Arbiter was supposed to be the greatest Warrior of his family and Locke had to train at a young age to become a brilliant Soldier forced by his parents just without the augmentations like the master chief had.

calling Halsey a war criminal is a bit too much, she saved humanity from extinction
+RomeTWguy Preach!
+RomeTWguy she kidnapped children, replaced them with clones that died within 2-3 months and during spartan training many spartans died.
ALL of which was sanctioned by ONI (apart from the clones. She did that to help her conscience). She was branded a criminal as an easy scapegoat. But her budget, and the people that trained - and operated on and killed all those Spartans, were killed because ONI and the UNSC made it happen.

From what little we've seen of the original narrative for Halo 5, it was supposed to continue what Halo 4 started. one thing I don't understand is why people hate the Spartan IV's so much. they aren't meant to be replacements for spartan II's, but rather a middle man between ODST'S and older Spartans.
It's because of Palmer
They make the rarity of the Spartans feel like there a dime a dozen
Well, people hate the new halo in general, ever since Microsoft took over, people say they ruined halo. It's not a surprise that people also hate the Spartan IV's
I think that the gameplay for Spartan Ops was a sorry replacement for Firefight, but I love the story and I love the cutscenes.
It’s just a shame that it abruptly ended like it did. If it had ran for several seasons I believe it could have become something truly special.

RIP Paul DeMarco.😭😭😭
What a lot of people fail to understand is that the Spartan 4s were the official start to the Spartan military branch of the UNSC.
Pervious generations of Spartans were made in secret and involved children that grew up to only know life as a Spartan. They knew no other behavior or life skills outside of being on duty and fighting.
The Spartan 4s were different, they acted no different than any new military personal fresh out of boot. They only really earned their Spartan colors after the events of Halo 4 and older generations of Spartans treated them as less until then.
I could go on and on but really this break down needs to be done by video.
First we taught them how to be *silent*.
Then we taught them how to be Spartans.
One of the most legendary quotes in the Halo games.
9:10
...what...is Halo doing?
A Spartan punts 100,000 year old alien tech, and it stops trying to destroy the ship.
A scientist, who would KNOW BETTER, plays the, "What does this button do?" game.
...what in the name of sanity?
I'm not sure why you're surprised, Halo has always been one of the campiest sci-fi shooters out there (Keys and Johnson are each several typical military stereotypes rolled into one, plus Master Chief's shitty one-liners come to mind)
@@fakename287 Chief has awesome one liners
@@fakename287 that's what makes it so good: its cliché done right.
@@Vastspartan On occasion
and yet, h5 gave us warzone and arena. both are awesome. no doubt. but seriously why did they remove spartan ops from h5? it didnt need to be spartan ops but something else, cinematic episodic mission wise. some people are about halos story more then actual multiplayer. thats me.
haha I love how Halsey calls out the two Majestic Spartans in front of Palmer. I never got what she meant but she compliments Palmer on her discipline "first we taught them to be silent then we taught them to be Spartans..."
I always saw that as her roasting her about now being a real Spartan
@@Crashingpack oh for sure she’s talking shit
Kinda weird watching 2 Spartans behaving like teenage womanizers right off the bat, their augmentations obviously didn't come with decreased sex drive LOL. To me it just made them seem more undisciplined though, especially DeMarco after that comment "I saw her first!" *facepalm* Other than that damn I wish there were tons of clips like this one, awesome! Can never get enough of Halo
It makes them seem more human.
But that means they aren't real spartans. ODSTs are more like actual Spartans than they are.
@@charlie7mason Uhh...you need to read New Blood. The IVs were augmented. The MJOLNIR can't be worn by a normal human unless they stand perfectly still lest they break a bone and shake themselves to death through agony. I know the comment is old, but so so wrong.
Knowing that Thorne was originally planned to be a member of Osiris, I kinda would have wanted to see that
No offense to Tanaka and Vale but it would have made the squad alot more memorable imo
Is nobody going to talk about the absence of the Janus Key towards the end of Spartan Ops?
Honestly, the missions are kind of repetitive.. It always goes, Blah Blah, clear the area! Blah Blah, Head to extraction, oh wait, clear some more! I'm sorry, don't bash me for this, just my opinion.
yeah shooters tend to be like that

and I like how fireteam majestic is, well, fireteam majestic, and fireteam Crimson is just us, and some very untimely ordnance drops LMAO
I’m not sure it is, but the line from Halsey about her teaching the children to be silent before teaching them to be Spartans, is very similar to the actual practice of Spartan parents leaving their newborns out in the elements until they stopped crying, who knows what happened if they didn’t stop crying?
Man I love Spartan Grant, she’s awesome
31:43 is nobody gonna talk about how lasky is an absolute unit
Watch Forward Unto Dawn.
When the Promethean Soul artifact thingy flashed light in the room, anyone else notice that it looked like a person?
yup
It was a 'Durance'. Basically the 'consciousness' of a living being. Normally they're Forerunner and used for more memorial-like purposes, but it's a different matter with those that have been composed.
Man, I remember when I first started playing Spartan Ops when Halo 4 first came out. In the beginning cut scene alone, after Infinity rammed through one of the Covenant carries, I instantly knew this would be awesome.
I really wanna see a spinoff about Fireteam Crimson, they're always talked about but never shown
Man, the amount of potential they had here. The cutting room floor in the Writing Department must look so depressing over at 343.
Dr. Halsey: "First we taught them how to be silent"
Me: Ouch
Dr. Halsey (to Palmer): "Then we taught them how to be Spartans"
Me: Ohhhhh, you got BURNED bitch
Dang I wish the audio wouldn’t keep cutting out that would super fucking cool for like context and what not
the reason the Covenant/Human war used to be so badass and interesting was the fact that every fight was a struggle for the UNSC and only thing keeping humanity from extinction was the sacrifices of true heroes.
Well the covenant did fall apart after halo 3.
Joe Billy That's why it should have been the last Halo.
Yay, we're totally super fans of Halo and we totally understand it !"
More seriously, this kind of comments really annoy me. We've had 3 game sof the UNSC being curbstomped and having to make sacrifices, so maybe it's time to move on and do something different, don't you think ?
Halsey: I'm not Henry Glassman.
Commander: neither is Henry Glassman.
It still blows my mind that this coincides a campaign full of multiple reused levels and is followed up by a game that downplays every fireteams actions during Ops within its first mission. The characters and story for Spartan Ops are still really great.
That's it, the UNSC is in big trouble. Especially ONI. Halsey is going to destroy them all.
Nah.

Man, i'd love an animated series by this animation team.
They're all marines, ODSTs, volunteers that joined the IV program. It wasn't as hardcore as the IIs and IIIs. They were more humane and less... Deadly.
Anyone remember when even the legendary Spartan II's had respect to fight one-on-one with an Elite because they were powerfull deadly soldiers and were able to defeat Spartans in combat? Nowdays the Elites seem to have replaced the Grunts...
Remember when they said this was going to be constantly updated to show different stories and missions? Pepperidge Farms remembers…

Palmer is a bitch IMO. 343 said that ppl had a positive response to her. I dont' know how, she was a bitch in the Halo 4 campaign too

I saw the Machinima intro and was real confused. Then i saw this was posted 8 years ago. Man do i feel old.
yoooo that machinima intro hits so different in 2020
I've only seen cutscenes like this from various games but I'm starting to believe that the Halo series is telling one massive story in many parallel parts so that you'd have to play all the games in order to put it all together.
