- What up, gamers! Join me as I unbox and give you a walkthrough of the Horizon Forbidden West Ultimate Deluxe Control Panel from Shar-kade. In my opinion, this is one of the best portable home arcade machines you could own. Although small, it packs a lot of power and keeps you gaming for hours. It is a must-have if you are in the market for a retro/modern gaming arcade machine and don't have a lot of space in your home or apartment. You can connect it to any size TV screen, monitor, or projector. It can easily be moved from one room to the next, or you could take it to a friend's place, plug it in, and play. I’ve been following sharky for the past 2 years and have been slowing saving up for the past year to get my cabinet.
I have looked around but no one compares to the dedication he gives to each and every machine, the support he provides before and after.

I will be back tomorrow , took an extra day away , for customers in the USA or out side the UK , will need to use google currency conversion. Dolla to pound, or what ever your currency is. I tried to add the multiple currency options but my go daddy website builder no longer has the option too. As for the drive addon for the 24TB if it's not there I'll be updating the products on the site by TUE . Lastly Current build period is 10-13 weeks this is due to large influx of orders and slight build delays , we are working on getting a stock in of pre built units ready.

This is basically a portable Megacade! But can you add things to this like a trackball, Driving wheel ect🤔
I was unable to run Cyberpunk 2077 on my Megacade due to the graphics card. As for track ball & racing wheel, you could add those if you wanted. Just plug them into the one of the USB ports and viola!

iv looked at his site a few times, been waiting for a good review, always wanted a game box from EH but this more affordable for me since times are tough, and having no trackball no big deal, always buy a usb one and then just figure how to set it up lol

Thanks! Yes, it comes with the games. And the controllers aren't wireless. They're wired (Xbox 360 controllers).
I would love to see more PS3 footage. If this machine runs something like Warhawk or Twisted Metal 2012 well with 4 player splitscreen, then I would buy it yesterday

But after comparing the initial wait times after purchasing, software out of the box, custom hardware, internal pc specs, build quality, customer service, and most importantly, pricing, if I had to do it all over again and only choose one cab, I'd go with the Shar-Kade. Not taking anything away from EHA & what they provide. But having both machines & comparing, Shar-Kade has the edge. That's my honest opinion.

I would suggest Shar-kade's control panel simply for the software out of the gate. I'm not taking anything away from EHA's game box or the Omega drive. With Shark-kade's Ultimate Control Panel, you're getting premium hardware, including Sanwa buttons/joysticks, wireless mini keyboard, 2 Xbox 360-like controllers, Wii control kit, an RTX 3060 graphics card, custom dust covers, and beefier internal specs that are superior to what you get with EHA's game box. Also not to mention, you can use the discount code DThomasFromNC & save more money when going the Shar-Kade route. It's a no-brainer that you're getting more bang for your buck. I hope this helps you decide whether you go with EHA or Shar-Kade.

Dope review DT, but I got two questions. 1. Is it compatible with an active marquee? 2. Do you still prefer the EHA system over this one?
Thanks! I don't see why this unit wouldn't be compatible with an active marquee. With the proper settings and programming, it should work just fine. As for whether or not I still prefer the EHA system over this one... the short answer is no. Don't get me wrong; my wife and I enjoy our Megacade. The cab itself has a presence and is a centerpiece in our game room.
But having something like the Shar-Kade Ultimate Deluxe Control Panel is much more portable (which you could take from room to room or house to house). The build quality is substantial, custom dust covers are standard and unique, and the internal specs are more powerful, allowing outstanding gameplay performance when playing the hefty amount of PC & next/current gen titles.
I haven't had to do any button mapping, and the wait time is as little as six to eight weeks. Not to mention you get all of what I just said above at a reasonable price. I paid right around $3K. And for that, you get 16TB Hyperspin, 23 Official Sanwa Buttons, 16TB Hyperspin (340+ Systems + TeknoParrot and PC GAMES), sound Activated LED Controller, RGB Fan, 2x wired Xbox 360-like Controllers, 2x Official Sanwa Sticks,
USB ports 3.0 (side), Ryzen 5 3600, 16GB (2x 8GB) DDR4 RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, 16TB SATA III 3.5" Hard Drive, RTX 3060 graphics card, wireless keyboard and mouse, and Wii Controller Kit.
Although Shar-Kade's Control Panel & EHA's Megacade both provide retro gameplay from a software standpoint, the Megacade has an arcade feel with the built-in TV & speakers. It'll look great in any game room. Shar-Kade's Control Panel, which is much smaller, is more powerful, and you can connect to any TV, monitor, or projector, all while getting that arcade experience in any room or wherever there is a tv. There are no limits to where you can place or take it. Only thing is this unit (Control panel) doesn't have a trackball. But that wasn't a deal breaker for me.

Question : Do all the Teknoparrot games display properly on a 4K TV? I heard there's problems with image scaling on certain games like SegaRace TV?
Interesting and cool video, but is this really portable in terms of form factor, size and weight? Or is it the equivalent of traveling with a high end pc tower.
weight is about 10-15kg size is 700mm wide , great width for two player comptable sholder width, lighter than a highend pc tower and little heaver than a standard sff pc. but as arcade systems go its the smallest/lightest with the most power. if you where to have a mini pc you would still need to attach arcade controllers to it for the arcade exp. this is all intergrated.

looks good but weak punch and kick on the left hand side have been drilled in the wrong place they look up higher than the other buttons, the spec pc one the inside is pretty nuts for an arcade stick but pretty cool fair play.

Yeah I finally got one. Shar-Kade internal specs are better. Also, there's no button mapping. Literally plug & play. A lot more user friendly and more portable than the Megacade.

If you have the Megacade , from one consumer to another , why the Shar-Kade? It does look amazing though. Does the software have Steam? What up, bro! Everything is excellent my way. I hope all is well on your end. I feel Shar-kade's control panel offers better quality in software (clean & alphabetized Hyperspin wheel) and hardware (Sanwa joysticks/buttons, RTX 3060 graphics card). I own a Megacade, so why get a Shar-kade?
Well, for starters, the software intrigued me- the build quality with unique touches like the custom fan & dust covers is a great addition also. Having something like Shar-kade's control panel is more portable. I can take it from the living room to my bedroom with ease. I could even transfer it in my car's front seat to a friend's house. I've had to do zero-button mapping and have just been having an overall blast with this machine. No Steam software here. But honestly, you don't need it (at least I don't). It's a solid tech build, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone who's in the market for purchasing an arcade-type machine. You're getting bang for your buck here, hands down.

Hey D, what is 24TB hard drive (add-on) for? Is it just adding more games?
24TB get a bigger expansion on PS3 titles (like 250+ if I'm not mistaken), access to those PS5, Nintendo Switch catolog, and PC titles like High on Life, Miles Morales, Evil West, Stray, Etc. It's definitely worth the upgrade.

You can add the newer games yourself (if you know how to). It doesn't automatically do it over the internet.

How do you compare to the megacade as far as the amount of games?
It has a lot more working PS3, Switch, TeknoParrot and PC titles than what my Megacade currently has.

The cabinet looks cool in the game room. But having a setup like this is cool as well. It all depends on what you're going for. But to answer your question, I like having both. I've had a few friends and coworkers over and they do find the control panel more attractive because of its size and power. But everyone has a prefernece.

I was disappointed to not see the original xbox in the megacade either. I am hopeful for a future drive that has OG xbox.
Tbh I wont bother with xbox , most dont emulate great also most you can find the PC version for
MagicMuffin if you're seeing a Xbox wheel that's running decently it's 99.9% the PC versions of the game labeled as Xbox. After all Xbox is Microsoft, Microsoft has Windows, Windows has PC games.😉

How loud is this unit? Eg. in comparison to xbox series x and ps4 pro? Aren't there any overheating issues? there doesn't seem to be much airflow...
there is not a huge area for air flow but its designed to a vacume from the back up throug the center. temps stay stable around the adrvage fan controlled temps, 40 idle to 60 cpu, and 81 max gpu temp not sure on gpu idle cant remember, it may be around 45-55

@@just_ppe really wouldnt be worth my time/cost buddy , with the cost of wood at the moment im just going to stick with the full built machines. we do offer hdds, builds and a wiring guide , you could goto grs or somewhere like that and get a 23 button layout and do a control panel that plugs into your pc
There's enough airflow. Doesn't overheat at all. And that's after hours of gaming.
