Pro tip, start the video by jumping straight into the content rather asking people to subscribe…. You will retain more viewers.
yep, its ok to ask people to subscribe but do it in the middle of the content, briefly.
I didn’t find his intro to the vid to be over the top about subbing. I didn’t have a problem with how he handled it. Most. Ids are hideous about it, though.
Another pro tip: don’t take retention advice from people with 2 subs when you have 12.8k :) great video!
@@lukemorphew9272 Agreed.
It’s why the video has hardly any views. When you title a video, Google search wants to index it as relative information but if you spend too much time explaining off topic stuff it pushes these videos away. This video should have at least 50k+ because nobody is discussing Osmo 5 on YT.
For me the DJI action camera is the one to go for. I'm not interested in all the mods that GoPro provide, that in my opinion gets away from what am action camera is meant to be about, and as considerably to the price. The only thing I am interested in is a good microphone, and that happens to be a DJI mic. My big disappointment is that we don't appear to be getting a 1 inch sensor which everyone has been crying out for.
Great video!
Thanks!
My question is when is the last time you used a macro or anamorphic lens on an action camera? Never yes you’re correct.
Summary: (04:24 - 06:18): Both the GoPro Hero 13 Black and DJI Action 5 Pro are expected to have minimal hardware upgrades, with the DJI featuring a slightly larger sensor (1/1.3 inch) than the GoPro (1/1.9 inch). However, the GoPro sensor's unique 8x7 format allows for some versatility in framing options.
(05:23 - 09:59): The GoPro Hero 13 Black is rumored to have a new processor (likely version 3), which may improve battery life, image quality, and performance. The battery size will increase from 1700mAh to 1900mAh, offering longer usage times.
(09:59 - 12:24): GoPro is introducing a magnetic mount system for first-party lens attachments, including ultra-wide, macro, and anamorphic lenses. This system could enhance the camera’s versatility, especially in different shooting scenarios.
(12:56 - 14:42): Despite the new features, there is disappointment among users who expect a larger sensor for better low-light performance and image quality. The lack of a significant sensor upgrade may leave GoPro at a disadvantage against competitors like DJI and Insta360.
(14:42 - 15:19): There is speculation that the GoPro Hero 13 Black may be priced at $449, but with minimal upgrades over the Hero 12, many users question if it's worth the investment, especially without a larger sensor.
So lets say you put the macro lens on it, van you still film as you have the standard lens on it? But then ofcourse you can use the macro lens also a extra feature. Or do you need to go back and forward switching lenses all the time.
Not touching another go pro until they fix the overheating issues. I live in SC and that will be an issue.
Been split between the ace pro and DJI action 4 or 5. I guess all this competition is a good thing
I got ace pro a week ago, i refund it Yesterday. I think I'll wait for the action 5 pro or get the action 4.
@@zp4439 what was the issue?
@@HooktOnCarolina I tested the camera for many days and the result Is that the videos with the ace pro are full of noise and non focused. I liked the contrast and colors that camera has, but I really dont like the quality... If you look closely on you tube videos comparison you can see the difference, i didnt notice till i had It.. also videos sometimes are laggy and the stabilization is not always precisely. Very delusional camera 👎
@@zp4439 thank you. Appreciate the info. This is helpful
Very much agree.
I hope they still have the timecode in the metadata as was in Hero 12 (Hero 12 had the capability to sync either by QRcode or LTC). With built-in timecode you can use multiple cameras in various angles and easily sync them in post. FutureVideo's Multi-View HD Pro 2 software is an interesting software designed to work with GoPro Hero cameras to view all angles simultaneously (up to 8) and either log and/or do quick-cut editing without need of standard video editing software.
Yes, timecode is the key. It gives GoPro an edge. FutureVideo uses it for synchronized playback of multiple HEROs and for fast editing in their software. They use proxies for immediate playback and review. Should be a good combination for inexpensive pre-viz and multiple angle evaluations of whatever subject the user is studying.
timestamps pls
Yes, the sensor size will be key for GoPro.
I do vlogs and I need low light performance to be good. I wait since Hero 10 for update and 11, 12 and coming 13 doesn’t have sense. How much time I can wait. Enough. I just want to sell my hero 10 and buy DJI action 5. As you said who cares about that what offers Go Pro 13. Time to goodbye with that brand if they don’t listen the customers needs. Greetings. Subscribed 😊
Yeah, DJI is the way to go. I’ve got two action 4s and the mounting system is amazing as well as the larger image sensor
I still rock the 7, I waited long enough so it's DJI 5 for me.
If you don’t need an action cam, look into the DJI Pocket 3 with a 1” sensor. I love mine! But, yeah, not waterproof or very rugged for anything other than vlogging.
If your only vlogging just use the light mod.
When DJI first put out an action camera, I bought one. It bricked about two seeks into owning it and I was about 200 miles from home filming a bike ride. I filmed the rest with a GoPro sessions I think it was. I am not a DJI fan myself and would use my old GoPro 7 with all the glitches, over any DJI camera. When/if the anamorphic lens does become available I will pick one up. Everyone talks about leaving but GoPro is still the best that everyone compares themselves too.
GoPro Hero 13 sounds more like the Hero 8 that changed everything from previous versions, then the 9 changed again. Not going to buy a camera leaving all my existing batteries and such in the dust. Will stay where I am, but maybe buy/replace existing batteries with Enduro ones. Might consider DJI Action if the low light is better.
Gopro has a reliability problem and that's why people went for DJI.
DJI: no freezing, no losing audio, no corrupt files.
DJI: Easy and more versatile mounting sistem and no bulky and expensive audio adapter for external mics!
More people give more about the things above, then they do about the image sensor!
Try this with a gopro: mout the camera on the media mod and then on a motorcycle helmet. Ride your motorcycle without knowing if the camera froze or not...
If it's frozen, remove the battery and put the camera on your helmet again. Stop after a few minutes and repeat if needed!
Do this for a few times on a single day, and lets see how far you will throw the crappy gopro camera for wich you paid full price (at least 500 euros with all the accesories)!
Now tell me about how people need bigger sensors from gopro!
Le combat sado-maso commence 😅
He said that bigger sensor size means more sharpness, not true, sharpness has nothing to do with sensor size. Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue, but if he believes this, then he has no idea what he's talking about. Sharpness has more to do with the amount of pixels and the colors science,
You are correct that a larger sensor does not always equate to sharpness. However, larger sensor with more pixels *can* improve sharpness, but more often, the increased size of the sensor AND the photosites would increase their potential to collect light, meaning less noise, meaning more sharpness in the overall image.

Today i was going to buy go pro 12, but i got to know that 13 will be launched on 4 th sep. Should i wait for it or just buy 12???
Wait, you can then compare the two cameras, and if you go for the 12 it will probably be discounted.
wow... macro lens... in a fWOWking sports camera... what crap.... 400fps 720p... wow....
We took GPS first...
we gave the GPS back WOW!!!
these changes are amazing, they don't change anything just to change the camera number on the housing
the ship called GoPro is sinking... how can you kill your own company because of greed? Who buys an action camera every year? probably only TH-camrs to do reviews and hype... and wait, they get them for free!
My last GoPpr was 10... I won't buy another one...
Still nothing on the new go pro max ? I think they are falling behind and heard they have bought into a helmet company for integrated cameras into helmets.
your intro was really boring
Wow and you have no subscribers? His video was great and your negative comment is unnecessary
