Yeah bro, what’s crazy is I have some of the most insane gear. I just struggle to put it all together. It’s tough because I have a lot of champions, a lot of gear on the champions and struggle to manage it. Idk, but anyway Ik you’re exactly right. Anyone else really hope he does breakdowns like this for every aspect of the game? Even now when I have a good understanding of the mid-game and transition into the endgame, things like this just make my choices feel more like a proper direction rather then the blindfold jog down the stairs my choices usually feel like.

my team is 100 percent and around 2 minutes and 30 seconds. miscreated monster, CH, RG, nethril, and arbiter. I've watch many of your account take overs and it has helped me out with both spider and CB. I appreciate all your work in helping all of us out, thanks.
HH, thanks for putting out these videos. They are what I need to consistently drill down in my head the fundamentals. After this video, I went back and regeared my felhound with stun gear and voila, I can now consistently farm dragon 20. It was my missing piece, finally can control the waves. I’ll focus on spider later when my gear is better. Just a matter of time now.

Thank You! Once again great video. My team that finally got me to spiders 19 and 20 is Ma Shalled, BigUn, Tayrel, Dutchess Lilitu and Coldheart. I can now auto 4-5 min runs with my average joe gear. Now I must finally take my Ultimate Galek to 6* and use HP burn.

Don’t forget Drext . bloodtwin that does passive hp burn when hit which works bc does AOE provoke, also a great tank. Awesome video thank you very much, super detailed and helpful!

Great info and another video well done! Having it on part was great. Thanks! You did a video on Drexthar for HP burn/tank and thought it looked good. I started getting the fragments but hope to have a solution before then. I believe with the info you shared I can pick 5 of the following from my roster and get from Spider level 14 to 20... Apothecary, Bad-el-Kazar, Doompriest, Skytouched, Nethril, Alure, Stag Knight, Armiger, Ogryn Jailer(maybe?). Just need the right ones leveled to 60 with the right gear which level 19 Fire Knight and level 16 Dragon should help with. Believe I can nail Ice Golem with Dark Elhain when I get her in about 40 days.
thanks HH this is the best video i've seen, to help with spider's den. usually on other videos they say, use champions X, Y and Z, gear them up this way and fight spider 20. i don't have the champions, the gear and am fighting lower stages, so the guides are useless. here HH talks about strategy, roles and choices for those roles, if you don't have the best champions. this is perfect! i've been having a lot more trouble with the spider than i should, because i'm mixing strategies and not filling all the roles. i don't have any hp burn champions, coldheart or any decent decrease TM, so i went with AOE stuns and max HP attacks. this does not work once you reach stage 12. i'm not doing enough damage on the main spider, she always eats spiderlings to get to full health. even if the healer can keep the team alive, i can't finish the fight. so now i understand better what i need to change. i'm building Armiger and lightsworn for TM control, to replace royal guard and husk, who don't work at this level.
Just a small note - Under your Heal & Cleanse section, you have Acolyte's kit posted twice (2nd listed under Steelskull.) and then again for the Reduce Turn Meter, he's listed twice again under Luria... He must be REALLY good for Spiders to be featured that much. Haha. LOVE this video detail; appreciate everything you do for this game!
Have you looked at Sethallia since her rework? Single target hp burn on A1, cleans, block debuffs, 75%heal, aoe heal and TM boost on A2 with 2 turn cool down, buff removal and TM control on A3. I know she's a Lego but also noticed that she wasnt mentioned
I do agree with everything you said and have used your videos to greatly increase my progression, but just as a counterpoint my only team i can do auto spider20 with has both Royal Guard and Trunda in it. I have Madame Serris for aoe def down, Trunda then stuns and burns, Royal guard Aoes, Coldheart with 210 speed (to go twice) before Renegade with 105 speed lowers c/d by two turns. All the little spiders with burn are gone by now - then either my second round of everything comes in and its over in 39 sec or for some reason 20% of the time the big spider goes and i have to rely on the second aoe burn to finish it off. No clue why the variation but there you have it - a team with both royal guard and aoe burn.
yeah not saying it cant work just need to be careful not to waste the power of the burn, hard to give a guide to the masses and allow for variations on a theme. Sounds like you have it down.
I think one more strategy could be and is effective: One negative or Same affinity champion with Lowest HP but with A1 Aoe hits with counter-attack mastery(in lifesteal gear) in combo with HP burn Champ or single target nuker and ofcourse Turn meter control rest of the crew. Or even without HP Burn or single target nuker is pretty doable.He will lure all spiderlings and counterattack all the time with aoe nukes with turn metar crew arround him. Maybe you would cover this strategy in next video, if so, sorry for that mate :) Anyway as always Thanks for everything brother ;) Keep Rocking :)
Ultimate Galek.... it’s worth ensuring that your increase att champ ability is timed in line with your UL. What I mean by this is his A3 is on a 4 turn CD, so ensure your increase att champ is both faster but also has a similar cd on the top increase att ability. If you don’t you’ll find him using it when he doesn’t have HP burn available. Which can cause you to wipe!
I quite like Royal Huntsman in the debuff role, AOE def down on a 3-turn cooldown and good damage with it, seems to work very well in my comp but I can see why I’d use another if my tactic changes.
Thanks for this vid! I just got 14 down was having issues with my aoe team. Just happens I have Royal Guard, Coldheart, Tayrel, Miscreated Monster and Apothecary.
Not sure if someone already commented on it or not but which aura would you have running from these champs ? Love these videos and they are helping me alot to focus on what i need to lvl and what i can git rid ofl.
If someone does not have an AoE hp burn, Drexthar can do the job I used him for a long time in spider 20 as an opposite affinity tank applying HP burn. Not the fastest but can help you to clear spider 20.
love the video, will definitely help me out with spider 15 but after the rework think Sethallia should be in the support category, also Drexthar Bloodtwin is a great tank for spider as he lands HP burns when attacked
Hi, Hell Hades! I am planning to use the counter-attack strategy, but with slow Skytouched Shaman with the Taunt set and fast Skullcrusher. Do you find this option viable or not? The team will probably include Paragon (possibly in Destruction set with focus on Def%), Armiger and Madame Serris. The composition might change depending on stage - I am only on the 10th now :). Great video... You forgot drexthar bloodtwin on your HP burn list, and stag knight for decrease defense and attack. I use tormin, tyrant, arbiter, stag knight and coldheart with tormin as lead and stag night in stun gear. 1min 11sec runs.
I didn't see a mention for Zargala for AOE decrease def. i use her right now in my team, albeit I can't pass stage 15. I rebuilt my CH to 79% crit with more crit dmg so hoping that helps. Currently have Rhazin, Apothocary, Coldheart, Zargala, and Bellower (not in stun gear--still farming) but looking to replace Bellower with either Mausoleum Mage or Skullcrusher, who I just finished leveling.

For the hp burn strat, what do you think of drex bloodtwin? He’s force affinity so he applies it by getting hit. Not as reliable but he’s what I’ve got

fantastic video. I'm about to 6 star ignateus and hope I can combo him and Tormin with an Apothecary, Coldheart, and either Golgorab/Maulie for rez or a third nuke in royal gaurd. I'm 10 auto 20 runs away from finally getting Arbiter
No Zelotah? He has a lot of value in this dungeon. Heal+Shield+AOE Sleep. He carried me through the early spider Coldheart actually can be a pain in the arse with her aoe a2 when using the hp burn strat. she uses it way too often and kills the spiderlings before they do enough hp burn damage Also, Defiled Sinner is totally rubbish. His enemy max hp hit works only if he kills something that's why you have to manual him. And the hit is not strong at all and cannot be critical. He only can be viable for early game. A question, finally: would you recommend using Scyl of the Drakes (as she has heals, aoe stuns on a 2-hitter, resurrect and speed boost and is f2p) and Siphi (massive buff on her a2 + resist aura + revive to full turn meter) in Spider's den?
I don't know why, but at stage 11 already, nobody in my team does enough damage to nuke spiderlings and damage the big spider. Partially, because my main dps is Kael, speed lead is Apothecary and stage 11 is force. And the lack of better gear and high tier masteries on all champions.

Not sure if it's been done, but I can't find anything about it. Would a video about which rares are ok for food be feasible. As a really new player I'm losing space because I'm nervous about crunching the wrong heroes.
i pulled him recently, looked at his kit and thought "hunh.. that sounds pretty solid. wonder why nobody ever uses him for anything." people keep telling me hes garbage, so i reckon his damage multipliers must be trash. interesting to at least see him used as a utility type champion somehwere
@@erbgorre his a2 hits as hard as elhain my farmer, his a3 though hits very hard. still as you said he is more utility than damage. i use him in fire knight, spider, magic and spirit keeps
So are the legendaries off to the side better than the ones named on the list because i have a lot of them and Spiders is the only thing I'm having a tuff time with.

Currently stuck on Spider 13 (void). 4 AOE + Speedster doesn't cut it for me atm. Most of the gear is +12. And 1 T6 Mastery is missing. I'm using Lua, Kael. Crimson Slayer, Matyr, Apo.
I tried a team you recommended in this video (shieldguard, Galek, Elhain, Skartorsis, and Saurus) and couldn't get past level 10 with it and could only do 10 on manual.
@ HellHades there are some typos on the turn meter reduction slide, very minor just wanted to let you know. You have alure named acolyte and maneater called ult galek
I don`t have any of the dps champs mentioned in the video.. but got myself pretty fun team for at least manual level 20 of the spider. My team is Aphotecary, Elenaril, Steelskull, Miscreated Monster and Vizier :) Setup.. Elenaril HP burn, Vizier spread Debuff (Aoe HP burn). If it`s not good enough.. my second win condition, Elenaril + Steelskull a lot of poisons with Extending of Vizier and at the end Elenaril`s combust to detonate all the poisons for like 2mil :D
sinner and husk are a tough sell for people to build all the way up knowing they wont be viable at stage 20 because theyre force. ive pulled a husk fairly early on and never bothered to build him for that exact reason. unless youre spending a ton or playing all day, you have to be super picky with who to take all the way up to 6 stars
Defiled Sinner hits for a flat 15% on his A2. It works like this, you attack one enemy and if that attack kills an enemy he hits all other enemies for 15% of their max HP. So just target a spiderling who's almost dead and your all set. I use him and like him a lot.
@HellHades Stag Knight really should have been on your list of great debuffers for spider. His A1 puts a 30% Slow and his A2 brings a 100% aoe def down and atk down with the sniper mastery. I use him, apoc, 2 armigers, and miscreated monster for my team and my runs are under 3 minutes without the spider ever taking a turn.
I'm struggling with lvl 11. I'm using Kael, Steelskull, MMonster, Coldheart and Bellower. What am I missing? I know I don't have them all booked and they lack great artifacts but shouldn't I do better? Should I replace CH with another aoe guy for now?
After the recent changes Elder Skarg is awesome for Spider, even un booked and no masteries. As long as he has Duchess or someone else for survivability he's become a spider beast.
Stuck at lvl 10 spiders. Unless I DON'T use auto and put in Zargala (she wastes her devestate on main spider). Armiger's acc is 122 and he keeps getting weak hits on magic affinity....and does NOT reduce the turn meter at all. Mind you, my champions are all lvl 50 (one's am trying, Elhain, Kael, Ignatius, Sarus, Shield Breaker, Apothecary, Battlesage, Smashlord, etc.) except Zargala, my only 6*. Alure is useless on spiders, Armiger is not doing what he suppose too...I can lvl up Lich...but unless I book him out... TM is on a 5 turn cooldown. And I only have about 5 books. I also lvled up Kantra to 5*, got her on Friday. Not sure where to go from here....or who should I 6* next. Kael, Ignatius, Apothecary have masteries done. Am getting frustrated. I am lacking support champs.

Stew did a video where he was running Shieldguard solo for the win. It was stage 14 or 15 I believe. It was an eye opening video to say the least.

yeah not saying it cant work just need to be careful not to waste the power of the burn, hard to give a guide to the masses and allow for variations on a theme. Sounds like you have it down.

I think one more strategy could be and is effective:
One negative or Same affinity champion with Lowest HP but with A1 Aoe hits with counter-attack mastery(in lifesteal gear) in combo with HP burn Champ or single target nuker and ofcourse Turn meter control rest of the crew. Or even without HP Burn or single target nuker is pretty doable.He will lure all spiderlings and counterattack all the time with aoe nukes with turn metar crew arround him. Maybe you would cover this strategy in next video, if so, sorry for that mate :)

Ultimate Galek.... it’s worth ensuring that your increase att champ ability is timed in line with your UL.
What I mean by this is his A3 is on a 4 turn CD, so ensure your increase att champ is both faster but also has a similar cd on the top increase att ability.
If you don’t you’ll find him using it when he doesn’t have HP burn available. Which can cause you to wipe!

I quite like Royal Huntsman in the debuff role, AOE def down on a 3-turn cooldown and good damage with it, seems to work very well in my comp but I can see why I’d use another if my tactic changes.

If someone does not have an AoE hp burn, Drexthar can do the job I used him for a long time in spider 20 as an opposite affinity tank applying HP burn. Not the fastest but can help you to clear spider 20.
love the video, will definitely help me out with spider 15 but after the rework think Sethallia should be in the support category, also Drexthar Bloodtwin is a great tank for spider as he lands HP burns when attacked

Hi, Hell Hades! I am planning to use the counter-attack strategy, but with slow Skytouched Shaman with the Taunt set and fast Skullcrusher. Do you find this option viable or not? The team will probably include Paragon (possibly in Destruction set with focus on Def%), Armiger and Madame Serris. The composition might change depending on stage - I am only on the 10th now :).

Great video... You forgot drexthar bloodtwin on your HP burn list, and stag knight for decrease defense and attack. I use tormin, tyrant, arbiter, stag knight and coldheart with tormin as lead and stag night in stun gear. 1min 11sec runs.

I didn't see a mention for Zargala for AOE decrease def. i use her right now in my team, albeit I can't pass stage 15. I rebuilt my CH to 79% crit with more crit dmg so hoping that helps. Currently have Rhazin, Apothocary, Coldheart, Zargala, and Bellower (not in stun gear--still farming) but looking to replace Bellower with either Mausoleum Mage or Skullcrusher, who I just finished leveling.

For the hp burn strat, what do you think of drex bloodtwin? He’s force affinity so he applies it by getting hit. Not as reliable but he’s what I’ve got

Coldheart actually can be a pain in the arse with her aoe a2 when using the hp burn strat. she uses it way too often and kills the spiderlings before they do enough hp burn damage
Also, Defiled Sinner is totally rubbish. His enemy max hp hit works only if he kills something that's why you have to manual him. And the hit is not strong at all and cannot be critical. He only can be viable for early game.
A question, finally: would you recommend using Scyl of the Drakes (as she has heals, aoe stuns on a 2-hitter, resurrect and speed boost and is f2p) and Siphi (massive buff on her a2 + resist aura + revive to full turn meter) in Spider's den?

I don't know why, but at stage 11 already, nobody in my team does enough damage to nuke spiderlings and damage the big spider. Partially, because my main dps is Kael, speed lead is Apothecary and stage 11 is force. And the lack of better gear and high tier masteries on all champions.
Elenaril does really well on Spider and Dragon. You should check her out.

i pulled him recently, looked at his kit and thought "hunh.. that sounds pretty solid. wonder why nobody ever uses him for anything."
people keep telling me hes garbage, so i reckon his damage multipliers must be trash. interesting to at least see him used as a utility type champion somehwere
@@erbgorre his a2 hits as hard as elhain my farmer, his a3 though hits very hard. still as you said he is more utility than damage. i use him in fire knight, spider, magic and spirit keeps

Currently stuck on Spider 13 (void). 4 AOE + Speedster doesn't cut it for me atm. Most of the gear is +12. And 1 T6 Mastery is missing. I'm using Lua, Kael. Crimson Slayer, Matyr, Apo.

I tried a team you recommended in this video (shieldguard, Galek, Elhain, Skartorsis, and Saurus) and couldn't get past level 10 with it and could only do 10 on manual.
you'd be a linebacker, or a cornerback, or safety, depending on your defensive role (thinking full back)...

Let's say I have Ultimate Galek and Ignatius but I can't book either, which would you use to progress on Spider 17+?
I don`t have any of the dps champs mentioned in the video.. but got myself pretty fun team for at least manual level 20 of the spider.
My team is Aphotecary, Elenaril, Steelskull, Miscreated Monster and Vizier :)
Setup.. Elenaril HP burn, Vizier spread Debuff (Aoe HP burn). If it`s not good enough.. my second win condition, Elenaril + Steelskull a lot of poisons with Extending of Vizier and at the end Elenaril`s combust to detonate all the poisons for like 2mil :D

sinner and husk are a tough sell for people to build all the way up knowing they wont be viable at stage 20 because theyre force. ive pulled a husk fairly early on and never bothered to build him for that exact reason. unless youre spending a ton or playing all day, you have to be super picky with who to take all the way up to 6 stars
Defiled Sinner hits for a flat 15% on his A2. It works like this, you attack one enemy and if that attack kills an enemy he hits all other enemies for 15% of their max HP. So just target a spiderling who's almost dead and your all set. I use him and like him a lot.
Is his AI smart enough to do this on auto or is he manual only?
@@user-ss2pz5bi9n His AI is like other AI's. It will do it but not always at the right time. If you dont kill a spiderling, the skill is wasted
@HellHades Stag Knight really should have been on your list of great debuffers for spider. His A1 puts a 30% Slow and his A2 brings a 100% aoe def down and atk down with the sniper mastery. I use him, apoc, 2 armigers, and miscreated monster for my team and my runs are under 3 minutes without the spider ever taking a turn.

I'm struggling with lvl 11. I'm using Kael, Steelskull, MMonster, Coldheart and Bellower. What am I missing? I know I don't have them all booked and they lack great artifacts but shouldn't I do better? Should I replace CH with another aoe guy for now?
I know I'm a little late on this but Khatun is the 30 day reward not 60. 60 is Yaga.
What about Grohak? TM steal, Speed reduce debuff and on top of that AoE attack. Spider's Den is the only place where he is good.
After the recent changes Elder Skarg is awesome for Spider, even un booked and no masteries. As long as he has Duchess or someone else for survivability he's become a spider beast.
Stuck at lvl 10 spiders. Unless I DON'T use auto and put in Zargala (she wastes her devestate on main spider). Armiger's acc is 122 and he keeps getting weak hits on magic affinity....and does NOT reduce the turn meter at all. Mind you, my champions are all lvl 50 (one's am trying, Elhain, Kael, Ignatius, Sarus, Shield Breaker, Apothecary, Battlesage, Smashlord, etc.) except Zargala, my only 6*. Alure is useless on spiders, Armiger is not doing what he suppose too...I can lvl up Lich...but unless I book him out... TM is on a 5 turn cooldown. And I only have about 5 books. I also lvled up Kantra to 5*, got her on Friday. Not sure where to go from here....or who should I 6* next. Kael, Ignatius, Apothecary have masteries done. Am getting frustrated. I am lacking support champs.
