Isn’t it understood that Nicodemus got born again?
He became a follower of Jesus, didn’t he?
Nicodemus understood that he needed a new birth in order to enter God’s kingdom.

Born Again.. Peter expressed his Spiritual condition when our Savior asked, "who do they say that I am? What is He asking? What's happening here? Peter gave the most passionate answer! Peter answered and saith unto him, Thou art the Christ. 30 And he charged them that they should tell no man of him. In this moment all of the scriptural support for the Papacy, succession and authority come from what the Savior said to Peter. Matthew 16:15-17 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? 16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Without adding additional meaning I need to point out that Peter demonstrated what it is to be Born Again! . Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. (I believe He means see the Kingdom in the present!) A spiritual reality not seen by the world. Born again a spiritual condition equipping the saints. John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. Born of water is natural birth! and of the Spirit is Spiritual birth! Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be? 10 Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Some think baptism is born again but John's baptism was a ceremony of repentance! 11 Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. 12 If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

I think the tradition about Nicodemus is true because only John Gospel mention Nicodemus in Chapter 3 and later after Crucification to collect the body of Christ... Gospel of John was written much later than other 3 gospels.. Nicodemus must been martyred sometime around 70AD and John wanted to honor him

Now look at what Paul says in Galatians 1:11-12 KJV - "But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."

To be born again, means to be baptized with water and spirit, plain and simple. The Bible and the early church fathers are unanimous anyone who thinks otherwise are polluted by novel teachings that happened over 1500 years after Jesus Christ.

Not True....Many people get baptized in church but most are not Born Again... Infant baptism is not biblical and does not make the infant Born Again

    We must be born again!
Then Jesus has baptized you with the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit do not let you sin anymore!!!
To become born again you have to repent and ask Jesus forgiveness for your sins or ask Jesus in your heart!
A really born again Christian has no future sins!! He is perfect, righteous and the light of the world.
    Please study : 1 John 3, Romans 6:6, Romans 8, Gal 5, Eph 4 and Titus 2:14!

It’s not that we will never commit sins after being born again. After all, we’re still in our mortal bodies.
But the difference between a true believer and one who has not truly experienced God’s transformation is this: a true believer in Jesus will hate the sins he used to love and enjoy. And when he commits sin, it breaks his heart so much that he mourns and cries out to God for forgiveness and is extra careful not to do it again.

You didn’t study the verses / chapters I gave you.
      God’s seed cannot sin!
      1 John 2:
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6 He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
      Then you are sinless

    • @DevotedGospel1
      @DevotedGospel1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

There is nothing in the verses you quoted that says a believer in Jesus cannot sin or that he becomes sinless and perfect.
That being said, I am in no way saying that we should continue to sin.
The point here is that we have been set free from the bondage of sin and so we are not to let sin reign in our mortal bodies. Sin shall not have dominion over us. Please read Romans chapter 6.
But the Word of God does not say we become sinless when we get born again. That’s a stretch.
It’s our attitude towards sin that changes. We no longer love and enjoy sin the way we used to when we were in darkness.
That’s why when we sin, we are to confess our sins (1 John 1:9). You seem to be forgetting that John’s letters (1st, 2nd and 3rd John) were addressed to believers.
If born again Christians will become sinless then why did John tell them to confess their sins and God will forgive them and cleanse them from all unrighteousness?
We cannot just pick and choose verses and give our own interpretation. We always have to read them in context.
By the way, let me ask you, can you honestly say that you have never committed any since you were born again? That you have already been perfected?
Believes will only attain perfection when they receive their glorified bodies.
Again, let me reiterate what Paul said that we should not continue sinning so that grace will abound.
In other words, we should not consciously and deliberately sin against God.

You did not answer my question; can you honestly say (with confidence) that you never sinned since the day you were born again.
Are you now living in perfect righteousness?
I would really love to hear your answer. 😊
