As someone who fills a very similar role in a band, his stage presence with the misc. percussion is what I aspire to be someday. I still feel rather silly standing up there shakin shakers or hitting a cowbell while singing but damn he pulls it off.
So excited to go see them in August! Something about the smooth, well rounded tone that Swiss has just makes me naturally want to follow the harmony when he does backing vocals. Mary On A Cross is a perfect example. I never sing the melody because Swiss follows such a natural progression throughout that WHOLE SONG that it’s easy to pick out and match. My boyfriend pokes fun at me for doing it, but something about it just sends shivers down my spine at that last long note and I can’t help myself lol
