Would it be ok to leave the 2 speed jet pump in place and “T” in a new circulation pump?

Thanks for the comment, you might find that the 2 speed pump will "steal" all the flow on high speed which could cause a problem for the new circuialtion pump - if you can isolate it (a relay for example) from running when the 2 speed pump is on high speed then that would work for you yes. Hope that helps - Andi

Ahh yes! I am thinking that I can disconnect the low speed pump connection so that the controller doesn’t see the 2 speed option. My new controller has the option for circulation pump. I would assume that when the controller sees the two pumps that it will control the circulation pump while the jet pump is running?

Depends on the controller but I agree with your logic here - Andi

would you also put in valves (I guess this is what they're called in English) that make sure that the water flows in one direction on the exhaust side of the pumps?

Thanks for the comment - you could yes if you were concerned with the direction of flow - thanks Andi

Hiya not sure if this will be enough to trouble shoot but the hot tub i have the circulation mode just does not work, on the control panel display it says its on but nothing happens. It's the same with the preheat function, it shows its on but nothing happens. Not sure why it doesn't work but it is quite annoying having to manually turn everything on for it to heat up and it is quite noisy when it is doing so. The pump in the hot tub is a LX DH1.0 circulation pump.

Hi There, could be a startup capacitor that has gone on your pump. That would explain why it would not start and if that is not functioning, the pump runs "lumpy" which in turn means that it is noisy - hope that helps

@@Buildahottub thanks for replying, the pump however works when you press the button set for the pump, it just the preheating mode doesn’t turn the pump on for some reason

@@heyitswill243 - ok, if you can turn it on with the button, not likely to be a capacitor - the spa pack might have lost the correct programming, what spa pack is it?

@@Buildahottub honestly I’m not too sure, the hot tub was here when I moved into the house but the heater was broken, it was left for 4 years before we did anything on it and the circulation pump (DH1.0) was seized so we replaced it, but for the model of the spa pack I don’t know unfortunately.
