My son Mooch is the same way but his depression got in the way and he no longer writes or plays his instruments. He taught himself how to play guitar, drums and piano and stopped it all. It broke my heart. I will follow you in hopes that I see you at Madison Square Garden someday. It's early here on the East coast but when my wife wakes up I will surely have her listen. It was written about his wife and little son, because he was away on tours all the time, being at the height of his career and popularity. He died at the age of 30, in a crash taking off, while on tour. Sadly 3 days later, his wife received a letter from him, it said he was going to stop touring so he could spend the next 30 years with her and there son. Sometimes there is so much more to the history of a song, then we can imagine. Sadly To me it makes TIME ON A BOTTLE so much more powerful and moving , it transcends the original meaning .
