    Strangely I’m actually the new owner of this bike and all credit to you Matt it must have been the cleanest second hand bike I’ve ever own so well done.
    I went to test ride this bike at a bike shop in Sittingbourne Kent and I sat on the bike turned the key blipped the throttle and it was sold! So pleased with the bike and the sound, like a Lancaster bomber, perhaps a little loud but ridden sensibility it sounds acceptable.
    I notice a slight pop back on deceleration but this has to be done deliberately by riding I a slightly higher gear than is necessary ie 2nd rather than 3rd.
    I’ve had probably 80 plus bikes over the years and so far this is my favourite. It looks sounds and handles well but isn’t too intimidating while still being able to deliver ample power immediately you open the throttle, possibly due to max torque around 3 k.
    Very nice thanks Matt! Good job

      Glad you like it, it does sound nice with those pipes especially up hill under load.

    Hi, Just wanted to say thank you for the very good video, great to hear so many before and after in various ways.
    Greetings from a fellow Bonneville owner

    Thank you very much for making this video. I've been searching for a good quality video that demonstrates the Remus exhaust with an X-pipe for the T120. After watching this video I'm sold on those pipes. Rubber side down Moto Brother 👍

      Cheers, did you get the exhaust?

  • @WDGFE

    Sounds nice!
    I’m not usually a fan of changing the exhaust, but that’s partly because so many I hear are simply louder and obnoxious, without sounding in any way better to my ears.
    The Remus - at least in the videos I’ve watched - seems to have that deeper but still mellow tone I like.
    I’m pretty happy with my T120 as it is, but should I decide to make the change, I’m most likely to go with Remus.

    Have a 17 Bonneville Black, De-catted with Zards/baffle removed. Looks like the stock pipes but sounds great. Downside is I hate having to remove exhausts to adjust chain/tire changes. Think I'm switching to these and sell the Zards. Thanks for the video!

    Totally sold on remus because of this video! Thanks so much for sharing in detail. Quick question, are the db killers wielded in? is it difficult to remove the db killers? thanks!

    Thought about buying these until I saw the price $949 ? Must have titanium baffles and gold plated clamps

    • @Shooting-Up
      @Shooting-Up  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      £700 in the UK 3 years ago plus an extra £100 for decat pipe and then I think I paid another £150 for a garage to fit it all for me so all told about £1,000 and well worth it as I still have them on now over 3 years later and they are like brand new and sound even better

    How did you get to remove the baffles? I think someone needs to do this in the YT hehe.

    Like most aftermarket pipes just sounds harsh and overly loud to me when compared to the stock Triumph pipes' mellow rumble.

    good video, the remus (super expensive) pipes sound better than stock but still muffled and restricting, remove the airbox and take the packing out to let that engine perform better!

      Otto Warm Beer. I know what you mean. It does feel a bit disconnected sometimes. It will sound awesome with the decat. Mines getting a nice growl developing as im putting mileage on, as well as being very loud.

      Barnsley Bitter Did u take out the baffles ?

    • @Shooting-Up
      @Shooting-Up  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes immediately. They are a bit tough to get at the circlip holes as mine was hidden behind a lip, but once out easy to remove the baffles.

      Yes. But I’ve put them back in now. A few ppl have said it sounds a lot better without the baffles so i think ill take them back out soon.

    Does the 2018 stock T120 need a remap if I slip on the Remus pipes?

    Does the popping noise is normal when replace exhaust muffler?

    • @mrrose6289
      @mrrose6289 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      voltov1: Did you install the x-pipe? If you have you may want to replace the copper ring gaskets. They're inexpensive, at the most 9$ usd. However if your wanting to save the few bucks just reposition the headers onto the gasket so it sits/rests properly. You won't need a tune unless absolutely want it but don't forget to check the connections on the x-pipe for exhaust gas leaking.
      I hope this was helpful. Good day.

    • @voltov1
      @voltov1 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you, Mr. Rose. My bike still has a cat but only replace original with v&h us spec. Popping is happen only on decel I am not sure is it normal. My bike also has TOR tune before replace the exhaust, so I am not sure is it normal. Thank you again for your information I will check on the gasket when my bike is going to dealer for service.

  • @howlieboy
    @howlieboy 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Did you have to Dyno tune the bike or did the ECU adjust after one heat cycle?

  • @artpongs
    @artpongs 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Had a question I just did decat with British customs x pipe and Remus as well and now I notice a a slight ticking engine sound at idle is this normal? Haven’t yet ridden yet due to multi day storm here but just wondering if I need to loosen everything and re tighten everything but I don’t think it’s vibration/rattling but I could be wrong.

    • @Shooting-Up

      Worapong Soodsamai
      i think they all tick if you listen hard enough but its more than likely the x pipe blowing. Manifold leak is a ticking sound.

    Trouble with 270’ cranks you start putting better breathing systems on them and they just make a noise not a nice sound. If it was a 360’. Set up like triumph used to make up until 2016/17 releasing that audible energy results in a very pleasant sound instead of an unpleasant noise like this does.😢😢😢😢
