oh man... you made a common mistake ! you have to start from the end of the pipe and go in the direction of the cylinder. Like you did when water or dust is coming from above, it will go between each wraps - if you start from the end of the pipe, water and dust can't enter the wraps from above. Look at my videos on my Triumph Street cup.
Matt S. Thanks man! I will make a video about that soon, but to answer your question the bars are clip-on bars that Triumph sells for their Bobber. The headlight bracket are from Joker Machine.
Hey Paolo. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on the clip ons and tires. Just have a couple more questions...How is the tank clearance with the bobber clip ons at full turn? With the larger tank of the T120, I have had issues with another set I tried to install. For the tires, any reason why you didn't go with the Tourance on the front as well? Thx
I didn’t go with the Tourance because I don’t think it was available in the size I needed. Also, these clip-ons have just enough clearance so that it doesn’t touch the tank at all at full turn.
Just wondering, did you use the black titanium from DEI or the regular titanium-gold. Did it change color? My bike is black like yours, trying to decide on color. By the way, there’s a guy that suggested crazy glue to lock in the fibers during installation, on his video it worked very well. Cool bike by the way.
Old Guy Gamer I ended up getting the titanium lava from DEI. It came out awesome. I used the crazy glue trick and I had no unraveling. I went for a couple of rides and the golden metallic color didn’t change. My exhaust headers are twin wall so they don’t get as hot, in fact you can touch the wrap with bare hands for a few seconds and not get scolded. They smoked quite a bit when I first rode the bike and I also noticed that they feel a bit “crunchy” after the first and second heat cycle. They haven’t completely dried yet, still some smoke coming out but no smell. I don’t ride this particular bike in the rain or lousy conditions BUT it will be very interesting to see how dirty they will be if I ever get caught out there. I don’t see a way of cleaning the wrap without damaging it. I guess a bit of dirt will only add some character. One thing that I noticed was that yesterday, it was a very humid day and you could see the moisture evaporating. I would be very concerned if the bike didn’t have stainless pipes and stayed parked outside for long periods of time, however, for those garage queens there should be no issues. Time will tell.
Nice to hear things are going well for your motorcycle! I had these wraps for more than a year and I ridden in rain, sunshine and whatever weather Southern California throws at me. So far, I have had no unraveling, and the wraps also clean off just fine with a thorough spray down and wipe with a cloth.i do notice a smell when the wraps get wet but, it hasn’t affected the bike performance or the wraps themselves. Anyway, ride safe!
This is a newb question, I apologize in advance. But how do you wrap the pipes on the newer t120 blacks. I noticed that the piping doesn’t go all the way through and partly acts as a covering by design to give the illusion. Did you change your piping or just wrap over the stock piping?
No need to apologize! But yes! I just wrapped over the old stock piping and the cover in the part where the pipe goes to the cat then back to the part where the exhaust pipe connects!
Really like what you've done with your T120! I have one as well and am making some changes. Were many modifications needed to install the bobber clip-ons? My dealer told me that clip-ons won't work without a bunch of changes. Also, are the new tires the same size as stock? They look wider, especially the rear one.
A Russell to use the Bobber clip-ons you either have to cut the stock headlight bracket or get a new one like I did. Also, the wires for the heated grips are too short to use with these clip-ons along with the issue that the holes aren’t big enough for the connectors to come through easily. Other than those things I didn’t replace anything else. As far as the tires, the front are bigger (110/90R18 Vice the stock 100/90R18). I found that the expansion of the tire at fast speeds caused them to rub so I had to replace the T120 stock front fender bracket to the stock Triumph Scrambler bracket for about $35 (the fitment is just direct replacement). This raised the fender bracket for clearance for the front tire at high speeds. The rear tire is the same as stock size (150/70R17)
Love the sound of your exhaust! Sure it's not stock. Do you mind letting me know what brand, model # (if any)? Wondering if I could replace my 2014 T100 stock. I see you were able to do the job without taking the exhaust. Just what I have been looking for. Thanks for sharing your video.
Geoffrey Buted thanks for commenting!! My exhaust is from Gasser Customs. If you go on their website you’ll see they have different fitment for different year bikes so just pay attention to that! I chose the black ceramic exhaust for liquid cooled Triumph Bonnevilles 2016-2018.
Thanks! I looked and decided. Just curious if I need to remapped. I hear if it is just a slip-on, you can get away without remapping. Did you remapped yours?
What a relief. Was worried about that. In fact I can even replace it myself. I might just have a concern with the left side since it has the stand. Any thoughts with that?
When you rewrap them, start from the back. The wraps will collect less dirt because of the overlay. Dope bike
Thanks for the suggestion! It definitely makes sense for next time!

I can see why it would be overlooked but it makes perfect sense, thanks for the heads-up!
Can you plz share the link of your video

Love the bike!
Do you remember the part number of the clip-on bars you installed?
Yo thanks man! It’s been a few years so I’d have to look it up. Give me a couple days and I’ll get back to you!
Hey man. Did you wrap over the pipes covers too?
Bro what’s the length u went for… I’m planning to get it done on my street twin!
Love the bike.
Hey pal, what soze of tires your are running on stock rims? Thanks
I’d like to know too
Great looking bike man! What bars and headlight brackets do you have? I’d like to see a video going over all the mods you have done!
Matt S. Thanks man! I will make a video about that soon, but to answer your question the bars are clip-on bars that Triumph sells for their Bobber. The headlight bracket are from Joker Machine.
@@xrampax3236 did you need new cables switching to clip ons?
I did not. I used the same cables.

I’ve had these wraps for a while now. Sorry, I forgot which exact ones I have.

Let me know if possible brand of mufflers and specs.
Good job buddy!
khru heber what specs are you looking for? But exhaust pipes are slip ons from Gasser Customs.
Paolo Bayas same, for bonnie t120, a ‘16
Love the bike man! Did you remove the fender yourself? Looking forward to more videos of the bike.
Martin Heimdahl I removed and replaced the fender bracket and fender myself

Thanks Paolo. And are the tires wider than stock, but still on the stock rims? They look fatter, love the look of them.
A Russell front it wider rear is the same. I provided you with the exact specs of the tires in my previous post. And yes they I used stock wheels.
Apologies, I should have hit the 'Read more' link, lol. Thanks again.
A Russell lol no worries
Does that heat wrap reduce the heat come from exhaust???
It does reduce it from the pipes.

Geoffrey Buted no need for a remap if you’re just replacing the slip-on pipes. I did not remap mine.
What a relief. Was worried about that. In fact I can even replace it myself. I might just have a concern with the left side since it has the stand. Any thoughts with that?
Geoffrey Buted wow.. didn’t realize you commented back. If you haven’t already done so... the pipes fit perfectly even with the center stand.
why you wrap exhaust which this tape?? it is just design or it has any function?
roces 5th main thing is looks for me.. but it did help in keeping my legs less hot during long rides.
Ok thanks for reply:]
