- So, I have finally had a chance to make a new video update, for my new business in Amsterdam. Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, all bars, cafes, restaurants and museums are on total lockdown. Obviously this is not great, however it has given me a chance to talk about how the business is running, how much money it is making, and what I am planning to do next. I do apologize that once again this is not a motorcycle video, but in the future the videos will return!

The Royal Marines of which I am a former member work extremely close with the Royal Netherlands Marine Corps and as a biker I am also very close to thier bike club based in Hilversum. Ask your friend if he ever served in Whisky Company, Four Five Commando in Arbroath? I was in X-Ray Company back in '86-'87. Will definitely be over when possible.

Hello, great to hear from you both! It was all going perfectly well up until the lock-down. Unfortunately the Covid-19 is taking a toll on people and businesses everywhere. Either way, whichever way it goes, I will return to the UK at some point in the near future for more motorcycle adventures. All the best to you both!

...Hats off to you Frazer. Love the fact you are responsible for your own destiny. I was looking forward to seeing your chef cooking on a row of Trangias. The idea of Thai food with a european twist is good. The rogan josh burger I had in a Southport pub was superb, much better than just going to an Indian restaurant ( again ). Luck to you.

Great to here from you sir, it's been a while! The business is doing well but the Coronavirus outbreak might put an end to it. The business was not a long term plan, and I'm itching to get back out on the motorbike. I'm sure I will be back on here again with more adventures (very soon). All the best!

Bloody good to see you back with all the pandemonium going on. Our supermarkets here in the U.K. look like locust have passed through. It’s scary. Hope the Dutch govt will suppport you through this, but you seem to have done a good job so far, we’ll done mate... can’t wait to see you back out on the bike doing what you always do exceptionally well. I can tell you a list of Thai foods (Bar food) if you still need it since I live in Thailand. I wanted to point out that Pad thai is not the kind of food that is served in bars but is often sold on the streets. Most Thai people only eat pad thai when they go to a pad thai restaurant or when there's a festival at a temple and pad thai vendors happen to be around. But then I think it is a good choice if the customers like it.

Did you catch covid then? I was poorly when I was in dam in Feb. Caught it off my Chinese mate. I usual stay at the Doria. Love Dam. Really hope your business survives the lockdown and I hope to meet you one day, next time I'm over. 💯
I've avoided the covid so far, and I'm still taking all the precautions. It was probably the worst time for me to start a business, but luckily I have a way to get through the hard times. It will be great to meet you, hopefully you'll get the chance to pop in when we reopen. All the best & thanks for watching!
Nice one Frazer, watch you don’t get mugged in the way home with them toilet rolls! Me and the wife have been meaning to have a weekend in the Dam so if we are all still alive by the summer we will pop in for Sangsom Bucket! That will take us back to when we were child free and traveling Thailand with friends... you will have to start up your own full moon party mate

Great to hear from you again! It is certainly a bad time for business (and people). Just hoping everything sorts itself out soon. It would be great to meet everyone over in Amsterdam, and I will try and sort some kind of bike meet out in the future (hopefully it will happen this time 🙄). I'd be totally against washing out that thai menu, it will become a place with no real concentrated area of food. You should start a pop up Street food stall either outside or down the road advertising your restaurant.
Everyone I've spoke to doesn't like the idea of diluting the menu with alternative dishes. I'm working with a Thai group at the moment to see what authentic snacks I could add without taking the theme away. Thanks for your comment & all the best!

That's awesome, unfortunately with all the lock-downs I will have to look forward to your visit next time. Bike parking is a few roads away, but there is a sneaky spot about 100 meters from the restaurant. All the best!

Hi, All of the estimates were grossly exaggerated to make sure the costs were covered. Total spending is probably 10k a month, sales are anywhere from 28k to 40k+ depending on the month. All the best!
