I had this downloaded years ago (the whole concert version as well) just so I could play it over and over loudly and so for my neighbors kids to hear what an actual legend Mariah is/was. I dont want people to forget her music. I want the newer generation to hear her, get curious and be introduced to the good music that has been declining. Im not saying todays music is trash but whatever. I couldn't go on a day without listening to her music. For me, she is the greatest singer who has the loveliest voice. I mean her tone is therapeutic. I listen to others but I just cant play random playlist without her songs in. Her tone is distinctive. The style and everything. Nobody can ever replace her ❤

I am yet to find a video on here that shows any of the above mentioned singing a supported G5. For example Ariana raises her larynx and pushes anything beyond a C#5 and the note becomes unsupported. I have seen all the others hit a G5 but not with vocal support. However if you do have links to videos where they do it live then please send me the links as I love to see that sort of stuff.

What amazes me is that She looked soo confident and elegant, but now with a Legend Title she always looks nervous and looks akward. What is happening with this woman. She is Beautiful, A+ Legend, achieved literally everything. Too Bad
I think this performance really highlights the duality of mariah's tone. You can hear her naturally darker tone and then her unnatural brightened tone within the same phrase. When she does that final 'you'll find the way' in the climax, she starts very bright and ends darker. another example would be 2:33-2:37, brighter tone, and then a darker tone immediately follows it. I don't know why she preferred the chipmunk voice, her natural tone is so beautiful. She used it more during the butterfly era when her voice was too tired to brighten it. Look at top of the pops honey 1997, despite her voice being tired/damaged, it was still more similar to the dark tone here than that brightened voice as well as the fact she even had far more damage than 1996. You can also hear her natural tone on the climax of hero in 1996/95 where she did that police tribute/president thing. She did a g5, full and powerful, not thin and bright.
