    Wags needs to give you a job with ED's community team to make tutorials of new features for in-house modules they're working on...seriously.

    • @smoke_eater_
      @smoke_eater_ 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The_Robo Why would they do that. It’s free for them right now. I see it from both sides. But I think ED not as specific as he is I agree.

      If they were to, it'd make it possible for me to do pre-release and produce more videos, since i'd (hopefully) be able to go full time. It's hard to find the time to manage the channel and new content for it, with everything else taking up my time! So i wouldn't say its of no value. I wouldn't be opposed to the idea if it means i can help more people and cover more topics.

    RedKite, your tutorials are hands down the best out there - you explain them brilliantly, succintly and easy to understand. Even tough I knew most of this, I feel you made a brilliant and complete package out of it!

    What would we do without you RedKite?
    Seriously though, you allow me to appreciate and enjoy DCS many times beyond the enjoyment I was having prior to finding your tutorials. I also appreciate your creativity -in that you seem to have an innate ability to make heads or tails as to how important certain avionics/weapon deployment/etc. are, and whether they deserve their own tutorials.
    But really, i can count on one hand, out of all the DCS/modules there are, the number of people that have the means to produce tutorials with proper pedagogical/teaching skills of these complex DCS modules. DCS is certainly the most, well, nearly as complex as my other hobby -which is building, modding Hi-FI tube pre/amplifiers, tube DACS that make digital files sound better than vinyl and audio cables. Not bloating, just trying to illustrate how difficult learning this stuff is for me. I've always had a fascination with combat jets, but wow, seeing documentaries of them does not show the real complexities within those cockpits. Thanks again!
    Being a professor at University for so many years (in addition to private teaching), I've come to realize that I can quickly decipher whether a professor will make tenure. You, sir, should be writing EDs' module manuals and/or making their exclusive tutorials as a tenure ED asset.
    Most importantly, I do hope you are okay! I haven't seen a new video of yours, and I did read about the unfortunate life change that came to your partner, and you of course. Because of it, I hope things are going okay for you and your partner. Be well!

    as always, a clear tutorial...! Do you know if there will be a way to pre-set a TGT for each sequence in the future, or is that not part of the aircraft? i.e. if you need to arrive at a checkpoint on time, but then need to follow to another TOT waypoint. Currently, any time you cycle the sequence to another one, TOT gets deleted.

    Can you set multiple targets per sequence? And if so, how would you select which target to set time and speed for?

    • @RedKiteRender
      @RedKiteRender  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just a single target, If you wish to use multiple TOT's you'l have to do them one at a time, setting up the new TOT after reaching the last one.
      The TOT function automatically figures out the times/speeds you need to arrive for each preceding waypoint to arrive at the target on time, you cannot specify the time of each individual waypoint along the way to the target. Hope that helps.

    A little confused on how do have different sequences ie, one for the flight plan and say one for a kill box.

    • @FuriouslyFurious
      @FuriouslyFurious 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You have to create 4 waypoints for the box (say 1, 2, 3, 4 on sequence 2) then when you switch to sequence 2, you'll see the box. You will not see your original sequence 1 anymore though (unless you switch back to sequence 1).

    • @RedKiteRender
      @RedKiteRender  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have your flight plan on say, waypoints 1-10, then select sequence 2, and insert waypoints 20,21,22,23, enter their co-ordinates as the corners of your kill box. Then switch between your sequences to go between flight plan and target.

      Only 3 decimal minute places are available for the moment, most accurate is DD MM SS .SS, which the hornet defaults to, showed the decimal minutes to demonstrate changing the format. You can simply add an extra zero on the end of the 3 decimal places to get the required 4, it's the same number, just fitted to the correct number of characters.
