Historia's child wasn't ymir because to break that loop she removed her existence). Now after extra pages the bird thingy doesn't represent anything but this was the ending I wanted , I totaly forgot that to start the loop the existence of titans need to be erased and after extra pages I realised that no one is protagonist in this anime their are just humans who are just like us selfish , eren to save his friend died and kiled 80% of population (selfish) and ymir to save eldia started the loop again which can result in death of 80% of population again. Ymir and Armin were the only smart ones in the anime ymir to save eldia gave her power to eren so he can save it from marley and she took the power again so she can save eldia from that 20% of population attacking it. i totaly respect your opinion but I might not be fair for others, but the ending was good , atleast for me .

After reading the latest chapter I feel like I desperately need to isolate myself for a week and re-think all my moral values. My biggest fear is letting something similar occur in real world. Truth - that’s what hurts the most...
It hurts because AoT is holding a mirror up to us as humans and shows us all of our flaws. We spend so much time finding differences in each other and starting wars, destroying the planet, creating hell. When we could create heaven on earth. But greed and hatred are our fatal flaw, and the cycle of hate will continue until earth is destroyed. Just like in the AoT world.
I feel it so much !!! Reality is cruel but you can find a fluent way to face it. Its the universal truth of nature which belongs to the amusing world of Shingeki No Kyojin and the story written by Eren Jaeger himself.....

Listening to this after finishing the whole manga is truly breathtaking, I can't even describe how in love I am with this song and the feelings it describes. Thank you all for following Shingeki no Kyojin, even if we don't know each other, it was a wonderful experience
I truly love this song. I'm currently working on this piece with my singing tutor. As an opera singer, she has done many songs in German, so we're working on pronunciation. My goal is to sing a version with classical techniques, as to make the sound more ethereal and euphonious, to present an echoing sound (arguably, the original is already hauntingly beautiful). We generally work on arias, ariettas and classical arrangements, so I'm really excited to perform this song. I know this comment is really random, like nobody really cares about it, I just wanted to preach my love for this song. Hiroyuki Sawano is truly a genius composer, and his application of leitmotif throughout the soundtrack has me mesmerised.
I think my favorite aspect of this is how much more melancholic it is. If Vogel im Kafig is in of itself a theme of despair turning into hope, this a theme of despair turning into a sad and regretful sense of doom, as if the one who could have brought hope was forced to do something terrible, dooming themselves and countless others in the process, because they believe it is only due to such destruction that any peace can be achieved. And I do hope a variation of this, rather than the more horror-esque theme of Ashes on Fire, is what plays when *it* happens.
1:50 hits different now that I know how AOT ends... This really does sound like freedom. "To the boy who sought freedom... goodbye." Thank you Isayama for this masterpiece of an anime.

The sad part is that this song represents all of Attack on Titan . “Vogel Im Kafig” is German. But In English it translates to “Bird in the cage” Eren Yeager has always looked at birds as a symbol of freedom. Vogel im Kafig. Represents Eren himself too. Eren is the bird, and the cage is the endless loop of titans that goes on forever more. Eren is the bird in the cage.
That hits different when you look at Akuma no Ko where it shows the bird being trapped in the cage before it shows Eren being free in the almost post apocalyptic world.

Man this series is so special. So much beauty in this song, that somehow shines through even more when slowed down like this. I’m happy to have been born into this world.
MAJOR SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . the fact that eren had to go through the same time loop over and over again, watching his mother, comrades and beloved ones die again and again is heartwrenching. the fact that what he did was literally the only way out is so sad. eren is just a 19 yr old whiny boy who just wanted to see his friends okay. and whats worse is knowing that this whole time eren loved mikasa but had to push her away and the others so that they could kill him in the end. it was all part of the plan to make things good for them. thats why he cried after he "woke up from a dream" in the first episode cause the dream had forseen the future AAAA i'm not okay.
The dream in episode one actually has nothing to do with anything past season one. The dream was intended to foreshadow the titans breaking the wall in s1 and levi's team dying in late s1. The time loop theory is also just a fan theory which is not actually canon. It's been officially stated that Isayama changed his original plan for the ending of the series AFTER the first season of the anime became such a big hit. Maybe these images represent what that originally ending was going to be? Isayama did say he was originally going to end the series very abruptly with everyone dying, but decided it would be too mean to the fans.
Eren, You will be remembered in our hearts. RIP I know it’s a fictional character but if we see his POV it’s so much sadder. Words can’t explain the pain he went through. Spoilers: Man...as how every other comment mentioned, imagine a creepy or remix version of Vogel Im Kafig starts playing during the "This is Freedom" part, ofc I'm not gonna set up expectations for myself, but I'd like to imagine, shot-by-shot, scene-by-scene, we get glimpses of Eren's coping mechanism of what "freedom" meant to him versus what's actually happening in a realistic contrast to his personal goal, citizens being slaughtered, not a single life spared, whatever position they may have, it all ends the same for them, and then we get an episodic idealistic vision of Eren's "freedom" while a version of this track plays...I can already feel the chills

I truly love this song. I'm currently working on this piece with my singing tutor. As an opera singer, she has done many songs in German, so we're working on pronunciation. My goal is to sing a version with classical techniques, as to make the sound more ethereal and euphonious, to present an echoing sound (arguably, the original is already hauntingly beautiful). We generally work on arias, ariettas and classical arrangements, so I'm really excited to perform this song. I know this comment is really random, like nobody really cares about it, I just wanted to preach my love for this song. Hiroyuki Sawano is truly a genius composer, and his application of leitmotif throughout the soundtrack has me mesmerised.

We all need them now
I think my favorite aspect of this is how much more melancholic it is. If Vogel im Kafig is in of itself a theme of despair turning into hope, this a theme of despair turning into a sad and regretful sense of doom, as if the one who could have brought hope was forced to do something terrible, dooming themselves and countless others in the process, because they believe it is only due to such destruction that any peace can be achieved.
And I do hope a variation of this, rather than the more horror-esque theme of Ashes on Fire, is what plays when *it* happens.
Unpopular opinion: I always liked the first part of this piece more than the second part

Hange's death and the way Levi reacted to it broke my heart and had me sobbing the hardest i cried while reading this manga so a part of wishes for Levi to be reunited with Hange and Erwin and the rest but the other part of me wants me to see him live and maybe open a coffee shop after all of this

The sad part is that this song represents all of Attack on Titan . “Vogel Im Kafig” is German. But In English it translates to “Bird in the cage” Eren Yeager has always looked at birds as a symbol of freedom. Vogel im Kafig. Represents Eren himself too. Eren is the bird, and the cage is the endless loop of titans that goes on forever more. Eren is the bird in the cage.
That hits different when you look at Akuma no Ko where it shows the bird being trapped in the cage before it shows Eren being free in the almost post apocalyptic world.

the fact that eren had to go through the same time loop over and over again, watching his mother, comrades and beloved ones die again and again is heartwrenching. the fact that what he did was literally the only way out is so sad. eren is just a 19 yr old whiny boy who just wanted to see his friends okay. and whats worse is knowing that this whole time eren loved mikasa but had to push her away and the others so that they could kill him in the end. it was all part of the plan to make things good for them. thats why he cried after he "woke up from a dream" in the first episode cause the dream had forseen the future AAAA i'm not okay.
The dream in episode one actually has nothing to do with anything past season one. The dream was intended to foreshadow the titans breaking the wall in s1 and levi's team dying in late s1. The time loop theory is also just a fan theory which is not actually canon. It's been officially stated that Isayama changed his original plan for the ending of the series AFTER the first season of the anime became such a big hit. Maybe these images represent what that originally ending was going to be? Isayama did say he was originally going to end the series very abruptly with everyone dying, but decided it would be too mean to the fans.

Man...as how every other comment mentioned, imagine a creepy or remix version of Vogel Im Kafig starts playing during the "This is Freedom" part, ofc I'm not gonna set up expectations for myself, but I'd like to imagine, shot-by-shot, scene-by-scene, we get glimpses of Eren's coping mechanism of what "freedom" meant to him versus what's actually happening in a realistic contrast to his personal goal, citizens being slaughtered, not a single life spared, whatever position they may have, it all ends the same for them, and then we get an episodic idealistic vision of Eren's "freedom" while a version of this track plays...I can already feel the chills
