Eva, I started ballet at 21, got my 1st pair of pointe shoes at 23, and danced a lead role en pointe this year at 27. You can totally do this. You go girl!!!!!
Were you in classes with other adults if you don't mind me asking? And you just kept going up the levels? I'm trying to get started at 23. Did you have any prior dance experience?
@@abbiedabbie2011 i think it was in my mid 20s. Had 3 kids about a year after I started (they are now 9, 6, and 3) but I'm so glad I can take classes twice a week. I started going on point in March this year. The fun part is that my two daughters love ballet aswell and I can dance with them. I WISH I could have started as a kid but thats the way it is now.
I'm striving for pointe shoes in the next year or so, and I'm 37. I just started ballet a little over two years ago because why not? I'll be very curious to see how my fitting goes because my two feet are a whole size different in street shoes (one's an 8, the other's a 9) and my second toe is longer than my "big toe" on both of my feet. 🤔
Hi Eva. The lady who fitted you was absolutely amazing, all the knowledge she knew about ballet everything really about shoes and feet, too. Well done to you too. 💖💖💖
I remember being a little girl who dreamed of being en pointe. I ended up in gymnastics growing up instead. At 19 now I still have that dream to learn to dance (for fun) and eventually make it to being en pointe. It’s encouraging seeing other adults in the comments getting them later in life. I don’t feel too old :)
I did gymnastics for years and years and then tore my ACL and started ballet after surgery. I was 17 when I started and went en pointe at 18! Now I'm 29 still doing ballet still loving it.
oh my gosh yes!! this is me!! i did ballet when i was really little and started again last year at 15. my goal is to get en pointe next year before i graduate highschool! i loved gymnastics but wasn't very good and ballet is so wonderful.
i’m 19 and i used to do ballet when i was like 5 but i haven’t done it since! i really want to start again but i can’t even find a place near me that does classes for beginners my age 😢
Same situation for me! Used to do ballet when I was in elementary school but stopped and now I'm 19 and wish I had continued. Now I have so much schoolwork that I don't think I'll have time to go to any dance practices if I even manage to find lessons 😢@@vickyw.6544
Such an exciting moment. I did this last year at age 49. One of my classmates was even older, 54! I’m on pair 3 now, have had a different style/brand each time, and am pretty happy with my current pair (RP Brava). I have tried Capezio (first ever pair) and Bloch too. I have a chonky forefoot and toes and zero heel, have been barefoot a lot 😂.

OMG I JUST GOT MY FIRST PAIR LAST WEEK!!!! I had my first pointe class yesterday, and it only hurt a little bit, but I’m super excited. Even though I’m 12 and you’re 26, it’s not to late for you to start! Congratulations on getting your pointe shoes! I hope you have a really fun time using them!!
@@MOMOMACHIN It depends on the school, your age, and strength. My school isn’t an intense ballet or competitive school, we just dance. One hour per class, per week. You’re already 19 so your foot should be fully developed. As far as my case goes, it’s only because that’s my school’s rules. 9th grade = old enough for pointe.
@@MOMOMACHINI did dance when I was little however I quit due to covid. 2 years ago I started ballet class again and only did 1 hour a week. @@grace9384 Yeah, I think at my studio it’s because they like to take extra precautions and their whole moto is to dance for joy, dance for fun, that type of stuff so they don’t force us and pressure as to have good technique when we’re young. She’s such a good fitter!
I’m so happy for you!
It made me cry when you got on pointe. It’s so beautiful to see your dream come true. It’s also mine, I’m 23 and always lived in a country where it’s not an option for me. Yesterday I got the confirmation that I can move and although it’s so scary I really thought of the possibilities and how I can get adult lessons is one of the things that brings me more joy and comfort. It’s gonna be tough, working full time and trying to get ahead as an immigrant, but I don’t want to leave ballet behind. I hope I can somehow keep enough time and energy. I’m glad I watched this video today
Congratulations on going en pointe, Eva!
She’s the pointe fitter I need in my life
Great job Eva they look great!! 🎉 I’m sooo jealous because I have incredibly flat feet that hardly point so I don’t think I’ll ever get pointe shoes 😭
Great job I’ve been watching you for some years and you have went a long way 💕💕
Congrats! 🩰
Recently got fitted in a new model after returning to pointe as an adult! Super excited for you!
