Hallo Techy i tryed fps pro mode but if turned on its getting me stick drift on left stick x: -1 y between 2 to -6 the right stick x: -3 y:0% its wiggles in this area kind a confusing
Hey so yes with 0 deadzones we’ll see the drift as that’s coz of play in spring. The left one seems a bit higher but it’s good that it’s in the left stick and. It on the right. The right number you mentioned is just like mine so a 2% in game deadzone should get rid of that drift if you need, but I’d recommend use only 1% in game, as the sticks have a slightly slower response initially. I’ll be making a video showing some info on the custom curve and how it can help with that drift if needed, it I do believe that use the fps pro mode with in game is way better than that 8-9% baked in deadzone in other mode.
I’m so confused by this video and what is actually needed lol! I play Apex Legends with No deadzone linear and with any controller I’ve used the drift is crazy. I just need to know what to do to eliminate it if I was to pay for this controller! That’s it hahaha
Hey so they implemented a built in deadzone of more than 8% before this update, which of course will show no drift but can be a massive disadvantage for people who play with lower than 8% deadzone. This update allows us to completely disable that baked in deadzone and chose our own preferred number through the in game settings. The amount of deadzone a person need really depends on their screen and their ply style, someone can easily play with a 10% deadzone, whilst another only use a 3%. I’ve made a video showing the jh16 module’s internals and the springs in all the sticks is so small, so after some play time there is a register at rest, which a lot of people consider the same drift as a failing potentiometer, but in reality they are not the same. Due to this manufacturer have started using baked in deadzones which shows a perfect centre and no drift but in reality is achieved by a deadzone, which can’t be changed by the user. Nacon listened to the few and implemented the true 0 deadzone, which is a good sign but there are still so many pro controllers that don’t give this option.
@@thephototechy wow what a great response. So basically is their claim of perfect dead one false as there still is naturally drift? There built in dead zone buffer lies to the actual gamepad tester. So when you do true dead zone and they don’t have that buffer, it will drift as a normal DualShock would/ the edge or any pro controller? I guess what I’m asking for myself. Is this worth it, if I want a fast response and the ability to run no deadzone in my game opposed to my own pre built controllers? My controllers are very new but with no deadzone still run a lot of natural sway when I go NO deadzone, they’re fine on small. I always thought a proper HE controller would make it flawless and return it to zero with a true centre to get rid of the drift completely or MOSTLY, but that isn’t actually true?
@@ryanh2831 hey yes coming back to a perfect centre is without a deadzone can happen when new, but once the controller sees a little game time, the springs lose a bit tension, this makes it getting to that perfect centre difficult. There are other ways of getting rid of that drift without a deadzone, like reducing the initial response of the sticks. This method will reduce drift but will make the controller feel sluggish for that initial response. We also have another problem where the spring could lose tension unevenly, and it can happen that one controller will have it easier to break centre to the right whilst other one to the left. Now if one person prefer the drift to be the opposite side to where there controller has it, can be an issue as well, like I showed in my Razer wolverine review, which has broken the centre towards top, and I personally like the drift to be towards the bottom. The Nacon does have one idea solution with a custom response curve, but they didn’t include a manual calibration option. I’ll be making a video on the revolution 5 pro curve customisation soon, and will show what works for me and what potential solutions others can try. Hall effect sticks are definitely the future but currently I think we are missing a truly amazing implementation, where we can have a custom response curve like Nacon and a manual calibration like Gamesir.
Yeah. I noped out hard when I discovered that whole deadzone thing. Said 'fuk it' and exchanged it for an Edge controller. I'm not gonna be messing with graphs inserts, values. I just want it to work with a high quality feel.
These are the type of controller settings I want for an Xbox controller with 4 paddles/buttons. Idc about trigger stops tbh. Having a controller you can adjust to exactly how you want it is what I dream of for Xbox 😭😭 I'm still stuck with the gambit. I can't use anything else. Fusion pro 3 feels like a hyper response. The sticks circular calibration is too small it's like it needs to be a bigger circle and it wouldn't feel as twitchy. Can't get used to 2 buttons on the g7se. I'm forever waiting for that perfect controller
More information about me talking about the circle calibration. This is a representation of what I mean Fusion pro 3 circle range: o gambit circle range. : O The larger the circle the finer moments you can do. I've tried ways to get the fusion pro 3 not as responsive but no luck
I know what you mean bro, Fusion pro3 would be an amazing option if PowerA would just do a raw output and not that software based hyper diagonals. I can use the fusion pro3 with some green kontrolfreeks precision rings. Recently though the EswapX has become my 4 back buttons choice on Xbox, it has same sticks as the gambit but with a very high resolution and custom options. The placement of the back buttons is so so and I can only use 3 properly. Also sticks jitter can be an issue as well. The pro BFG for Xbox is looking good and I’m hoping to order it when I can and definitely do a review of that one.
@@thephototechy I'll have to look at the eswapx. I know my first 4 gambits used to get jitters on the right stick but my fifth one has lasted about 7 months now without an issue. I know the g7se feels nice but I play apex at a pretty high level and I'm so reliant on having those extra 2 back buttons so having to adjust to that is just not in my interest 😂 I'm really hoping the BFG doesn't have the same issue the ps5 one has (125hz) I've become so used to 250hz+ refresh rate controllers going back to 125hz is almost unplayable for me on apex with pure linear settings
Hey Techy! Did you eventually tested the gyroscope Sensors and compared them with the Edge? My personal impression is that the sensor of the Edge is slightly more accurate, but could be pure imagination. Greez
I have the nacon and on my experience I feel like a bot now I have 3KD on warzone but now I can barely hit my bullets it’s so hard to aim with this controller for some reason I don’t know why
Hey yes those sticks look amazing, I’ve just made a video about Ksilver sticks. Hopefully once I have a gaming pc I’ll be trying all those amazing controllers.
Hey you need to set them for short press in the software, this will allow full 100% register with the stop engaged. If you are using the classic mode, which tbh you shouldn’t as there’s a big forced deadzone, then you can set them to short press, by holding the profile button and pressing the triggers with stops engaged. I’ve covered this in my full review.
So can you play zero dead zone with no drift? How has the calibration been. I love playing games with zero dead zone it just feels better for me but I go through controllers like crazy. Is this a better option for that?
Hey so I personally use anywhere from 2-4% deadzone and if the spring is lose way more than a larger deadzone, but anything above 7-8% feels a bit off. This controller had a 7-8% minimum deadzone which they have the option to disable with the update, but we don’t have a manual calibration option, so we can’t change the centre point that was assigned at the factory. This can have an impact on different units as spring will lose tension a bit unevenly, and it could happen one unit have more drift towards bottom and another towards a different direction. One good option this one has is a manual curve where you could potentially set it up to have a low register at lower movement, thus not needing a deadzone but it’ll be a bit slower to respond to.
@@givinbagles3794 bro I’m making content about this and trying my best to mention where ever possible. I do hope they add this feature to this controller.
Hey so that’s an 8% register at rest you have. Can you test if the centre point is good? So the drift is equally distributed from the play the spring has, coz if it’s only on one side, that’s bad. My left stick is like that but right one thankfully is ok. This can negatively impact if you need 7-8% deadzone which will be impacting the side you don’t have the drift. I’d say definitely reach out to Nacon if this is impacting your game.
What i would love to see is you making a video using a G7 SE on a PS5 using the Besaivor U5 and testing the 1000hz polling rate and zero dead + raw mode, how good is the results 🙌🏻 Just set up the G7 SE on the PC first and it should be good to go 🙌🏻 Because why get the Edge or some 3th party ps5 controller if you can just use your G7 SE on all your platforms with the same results 😜 This video would give clicks to 💯
@@thephototechy after last PS5 Update the Besaivor u5 doesn’t work, but just don’t update the PS5 like I haven’t and it still works. But soon a update will come for the Besaivor u5 or a u6 will come and it will work again 👍🏻
Man I swear turtle Beach needs to do this at this point my controller is useless to me anyway.... My verticle is half of what my x value seems to be :(
Hey so prior to this update the sensitivity plus sorta made up for that baked in deadzone. It basically increases register in the diagonal values, so it made the controller feel more responsive specially with that deadzone. I myself used to use it, now with 0 deadzones the increase in only diagonals can feel a bit inconsistent to me at least. I’d say try it and see if you like the feel, personally I used to use it with no shaft inserts and sensitivity plus. I’d recommend trying the medium shaft insert and larger shaft inserts with linear scale first, as I do believe a lot of players will find the sweet spot, if you think it’s still unresponsive for your play style then try sensitivity plus with shaft inserts as well. But definitely use the FPS pro so those deadzones are not applied and you can chose your own in the game settings you are playing.
I HAVENT SEEN ANYONE TALK ABOUT THIS…with the gamesir g7se when I play with the face plate off my game feels so much better and freeing then with it on. My in game settings might have to be lowered just a bit but it feels much more accurate.
Hey so wolverine V2 pro is 500hz and locked, Nacon Rev 5 is 250hz and locked as well. I haven’t tried any scuff controllers yet so can’t say what they are like, but dualsens edge is 1000hz standard without over clocking.
@@thephototechycool, much appreciated the only two things I am concerned about for dual sense edge is 1)ergonomics (unlike xbox) 2)stick drift... (as for any othrr controller)
Hey with fps pro enabled it’s 1.5. But the in game settings can be different for each individual, as many factors play a part. I’m using higher sticks and even ones screen setup make a difference with whatever input lag their screen has. So definitely try what suits better for you. I’ve made a newer video on the customisation of the Nacon software aiming features as well, if you are interested, thanks.
Bro I have a Problem I have a New Keyboard the vulcan ii pro tkl with Hall Effekt switches now I cant use the Controller on call of Duty because win 11 Shows the Keyboard also as a Controller do you know how I can this fix
Hi, what setup would you recommend for lower sense players for cod? (i previously played original dualsense with 6-6 sens and long control freek for right stick, dynamic aim response type)
Hey I’d still say the medium shaft insert is probably the closest feel to dualsense. Without any inserts the active area is larger and can feel very slow to respond.
Watched your video on how to recalibrate the GameSir G7 SE. my G7 SE and my T4 Kaleid have weird analog issues. Both are fairly new. The T4 takes slightly more pressure to pull the analog down or to the right. The G7 SE is the same but to pull up or to the left. Is this a calibration issue? Even in the software. The analog needs more pressure in those directions for numbers to match what they should be.
Hey have you tried checking the numbers with 0 minimum deadzones at rest? It might be stick centre point a bit off. Also the spring when new does take some game time to break in. If you do find the stick centre to be off and want to adjust it, you can do that with a manual calibration, I also have a video “G7se stick drift fix” in which I’ve explained the process.
@@thephototechy I did your method. It seems to have fixed it but now the numbers don’t snap back to 0 like they used to after I took my hands off the sticks. I’ll try another recalibration. If that doesn’t work then I’ll look at the 8bitdo pro 2.
I just got this controller and cod is unplayable. Its not stick drift but I cant control the aim at all. I have turned the sensitivity down to 1 and i still have an issue.
I bought this controller, but I can’t get used to it, i keep losing long a close fights in mw3, I play way better with normal ps5 controller, I wish I could fixed the issue to use this controller
Hey so there seems to be a bit extra latency compared to PlayStation own controllers. I’ll be making a video on how to customise it as I do feel it improved a lot with some custom curves. Should definitely get it out this week.
Hey that’s my biggest issue with this controller, there seems to be no way to calibrate it. We can force a calibration on the Xbox version but nothing on this one. It’s possible there is a method of doing it, but it’s not in the manual nor in any video published by Nacon.
Hey have you checked how much register you have at rest? So with 0 deadzone we see the true output at rest, mine are also a bit out towards bottom right. I can still use 3% in game deadzones to avoid it. If it’s anything under 3-4% in fps pro mode then it’s fine, if you have the drift without the fps pro then this could be problematic as it’ll mean around a 10% drift at rest.
@@novatradz7922 hey so these are the numbers if you push the stick out and it comes back to? They are slightly higher, what shaft insert are you using?
@@novatradz7922 so it’s a little bit high but it could be due to a bad centre point. My left stick is like that, personally as long as it stays at those numbers and doesn’t go higher than 6% would be fine for me, but that doesn’t mean you accept it. I’d say if you feel it’s affecting your game then contact Nacon, and ask for a solution which I believe will be a replacement. Prior to this update the 7-8% deadzone they’ve used masked this and probably the off calibrations like your right stick and my left stick. If they release a manual calibration option with true centre point adjustment then we can resolve this ourselves like with Gamesir G7se. My advice contact Nacon and tell them your drift number at rest is over 6% in one direction and it’s affecting your game performance. Also please let me know what you end up doing and specially if Nacon give you a way to calibrate the issue with a dedicated pc client or something.
I've come to try and test your settings after watching your video but my controller doesn't have the update? It says no update available and doesn't give me the FPS pro mode option. Any idea what this might be down to?

Trigger deadzone?
Having a controller you can adjust to exactly how you want it is what I dream of for Xbox 😭😭
I'm still stuck with the gambit.
This is a representation of what I mean
Fusion pro 3 circle range: o
gambit circle range. : O
The larger the circle the finer moments you can do.
I know the g7se feels nice but I play apex at a pretty high level and I'm so reliant on having those extra 2 back buttons so having to adjust to that is just not in my interest 😂
I'm really hoping the BFG doesn't have the same issue the ps5 one has (125hz) I've become so used to 250hz+ refresh rate controllers going back to 125hz is almost unplayable for me on apex with pure linear settings
@@thephototechy nvm the eswapx is $378 in Australia ☠️☠️☠️
@@bahgoesthesheep 😳 no way with all the issues
This is now the best controller for ps5.
Do you planning on getting the flydigi apex 4? Their new joystick design is very interesting.
Hey yes those sticks look amazing, I’ve just made a video about Ksilver sticks. Hopefully once I have a gaming pc I’ll be trying all those amazing controllers.
Do the trigger stops work on warzone, I hear the r2 trigger stop doesn’t allow you to shoot
@@thephototechy thank you, do you think we’ll ever get manual calibration in the future?
@@givinbagles3794 bro I’m making content about this and trying my best to mention where ever possible. I do hope they add this feature to this controller.
Hey when im using shooters pro the drift goes up from 0.00392 to -0.08235 this is insane to me isnt it. btw usingf your settings
Will the curves affect fps games on ps5. Say valorant
What i would love to see is you making a video using a G7 SE on a PS5 using the Besaivor U5 and testing the 1000hz polling rate and zero dead + raw mode, how good is the results 🙌🏻
Just set up the G7 SE on the PC first and it should be good to go 🙌🏻
Because why get the Edge or some 3th party ps5 controller if you can just use your G7 SE on all your platforms with the same results 😜
This video would give clicks to 💯
Woah I need to look into this thing. I thought any adapters like brook didn’t work for PS5.
@@thephototechy after last PS5 Update the Besaivor u5 doesn’t work, but just don’t update the PS5 like I haven’t and it still works.
But soon a update will come for the Besaivor u5 or a u6 will come and it will work again 👍🏻
Does the bealoder pro support the g7se?
nacon and turtle beach compair vid asap!
Man I swear turtle Beach needs to do this at this point my controller is useless to me anyway.... My verticle is half of what my x value seems to be :(
Thank god i was strugling since launch
Can you please help to make a setting for a sensitivity of 6 or 7 I don't understand the program at all 🙏🏻
Whats does the Sensitivity+ option do? Should I leave it off or turn it on?
@@thephototechy Thanks for the quick response.I will disable it then.
I HAVENT SEEN ANYONE TALK ABOUT THIS…with the gamesir g7se when I play with the face plate off my game feels so much better and freeing then with it on. My in game settings might have to be lowered just a bit but it feels much more accurate.
can u tell us why in a game like valiant if I go on a diagnol angle my charachter gets stuck but not on a normal controller
asking for PC, dualsense edge, razer wolverine v2 *pro* , nacon rev pro 5 or Scuf?
Do all of them support up to 1000hz polling?
Hey so wolverine V2 pro is 500hz and locked, Nacon Rev 5 is 250hz and locked as well. I haven’t tried any scuff controllers yet so can’t say what they are like, but dualsens edge is 1000hz standard without over clocking.
@@thephototechycool, much appreciated the only two things I am concerned about for dual sense edge is 1)ergonomics (unlike xbox) 2)stick drift... (as for any othrr controller)
So what was your ads multiplier after the update, you said before it you had to do 2.10
Hey with fps pro enabled it’s 1.5.
Without any inserts the active area is larger and can feel very slow to respond.
the new scuf for pc over every one!!!
Do you stream?
Wow great video 👍👍👍
I need advise bro i play warzone a loot in PS5 and i'm confuse between duelsense edge and nacon pro ??
@@thephototechy yes I use the controller in Raw Mode and with the the deadzones at 0.
Hey bro, check out my video on custom curve settings for this controller, might help you set it up.
Hi I have bad cirularity in my controller i was wondering if you know is there any way to calibrate the joytsticks?
Hey that’s my biggest issue with this controller, there seems to be no way to calibrate it. We can force a calibration on the Xbox version but nothing on this one. It’s possible there is a method of doing it, but it’s not in the manual nor in any video published by Nacon.
I know it’s weird but I’m getting stick drift on the right stick when it’s on linear it’s pulling a lil to the left, any suggestions?
Hey have you checked how much register you have at rest? So with 0 deadzone we see the true output at rest, mine are also a bit out towards bottom right. I can still use 3% in game deadzones to avoid it. If it’s anything under 3-4% in fps pro mode then it’s fine, if you have the drift without the fps pro then this could be problematic as it’ll mean around a 10% drift at rest.
Hi so in fps mode in getting
X-6
Y-4
@@novatradz7922 hey so these are the numbers if you push the stick out and it comes back to? They are slightly higher, what shaft insert are you using?
@@thephototechyis I push it it’s going back to that, I’m using the medium shaft
Any idea what this might be down to?

unusable on Playstation 5. the right joystick drifts and steps by itself, it does everything in FC 24 for example

Is there a way to m adjust deadzones in FC24? Using in game deadzone will give you way better results compared to the built in ones in the controller, as the ones in the controller were very large around 8%
