I know it's off topic, but at minute 11:00 you removed the screw that stands in the bottom of the headlight, is it for let an easier fit? is it safe? because last time I removed the headlight for changing the bulb I had an hard time refitting it..
I’ll be honest with you it’s very cheeky of us. But that pin at the bottom of that headlight makes them a pig to get in and out! If you’re doing it at a single job it’s fine, but we know we have had to test fit 5 intercoolers so far amongst other things and them lights are in and out almost daily, so we remove the pins to make it easier for us - once the front end is left alone we will re insert them
This may be a really stupid question but is it absolutely necessary to remove the headlight? Asking because doesn't this have matrix leds? Wouldn't they need to be recalibrated? On my Kia stinger it was something similar and never again will I take the bumper off! (That's what I was told by the guy that did it anyway)
It can be done without removing headlights yes but the bumper is an absolute pig to put back on the car with the headlights still in place! Matrix lights are calibrated using the suspension nothing in the bumper affects them, your Kia may have had sensors in the grille like the Golf MK7.5 - if unplugged can need recalibrating, you can normally get away with leaving the sensors plugged in and just detaching from the grille
How much or w turbo lag shall we expect after installing this one?
Is the process would be the same on the Puma ST?
Bumper removal may differ But the install should be the same

@@CarEnhancementsUK thanks so much for the information! I really appreciate it. :)
Is this a safe upgrade or will this shorten te "life" of the car?
If anything it will lengthen the life of the car :)
@@CarEnhancementsUK great! Thanks for the response! I plan on installing it on my mk4 focus 1.5 ecoboost 182 hp its the same engine :) 😁
@@Rnaudts possible it may fit however the bumper may not allow for it
I’m unsure personally
Can you also place this intercooler on a stock ST3 MK or do you have to remap it first?
