Thank you for sharing your experience… I build things for a living….. I have spent more than half of my career building this magnificent edifice… 14 years i have built everything you mentioned in your video.. I feel appreciated,. thank you, again.
I was at Cherokee last weekend. It's always a great time. And I agree with you, it's a beautiful property with a really fun casino. We ate at Brio once again. It's always a great meal at decent prices. The Ruth's Chris there has disappointed the previous three or four times, so we don't even bother anymore. Great video!
We went here one year to gamble while staying in Maggie Valley. We love Cherokee but they have seen better days. They used to have more businesses. When we went years ago they didn't have alcohol on the reservation. Kelly looks like a laid back kind of guy! When we went I was winning 100 dollar blackjacks at the tables. It was fun! Great tour!
I got so tickled when you said you were shocked at the American Indian influence in the casino and compared it to the casino in Ohio. Just to clarify, Harrah's Cherokee Casino is not in Asheville NC, but Cherokee, NC, which is just over an hour away. Also, the casino is absolutely American Indian, the Eastern Band of Cherokee from the Qualla Boundary in Cherokee, NC. But you were truly correct in that it is a great place and it has grown like rose red over the years. Thank you for the video.
One day I’m going to make that trip up to Cherokee and see what this place has to offer in terms of restaurants and other attractions. Not really into gambling but I’d love to enjoy a short trip there over a weekend one day. You guys are always advertised in many of the ATL sports telecasts, maybe that’s a sign for me??
This is the only casino near where I live!! Had I seen this video a couple months ago I would've invited you two down to Myrtle Beach SC (where I sadly live) so you could've eaten breakfast at the restaurant I work at! Great video as always! I have a TINY video of the overhead view of the casino on my page if you care to check it out. :) We've eaten at almost every restaurant there. Wicked Weed I didn't care for much but I only went there once. Guy Fieri's was awesome, and the Selu Garden Cafe has great breakfast and lunch. I even enjoyed the bowling alley's cafe food! Also the Brio is amazing! Hoping maybe this fall to go visit there again!
LOL saw this after your Myrtle beach food comment! Yes that sorta sucks that there are no casinos around there! That’s a cool one we really enjoyed our stay there. Thank you for sharing your experience!
Hello Jennifer. I've really enjoyed watching your videos recently. I wanted to mention some other areas you should consider traveling if you haven't already done so. Since you enjoy casino resorts so much I highly recommend you add the state of Mississippi to your list. Yes! Mississippi of all places haha. First, there is the resort town of Tunica, Mississippi. There are roughly 8 casino resorts around this South Memphis, TN suburbs. Tunica is about 30 mins south of Memphis in Mississippi and I would say it's comparable to Laughlin (minus the Colorado River instead these are located close to the Mississippi River). Once you check out Tunica drive on south to Vicksburg (there are 4 casinos right along the river there). Very unique area. Then, keep on going south to Biloxi, Mississippi where you end up on the Gulf Coast where there are 12 casino resorts all within an hour of each other. Biloxi has 8 or 9. Gulfport, Mississippi has the largest casino called the Island View (2 beautiful casinos in one) and then go on towards The Bay of St.Louis where there are a couple more casinos and more to be built in the coming years. Mississippi is a surprise gold mind for unique casino resorts and I go every year now! Chicago area (Wisconsin/N.Indiana, Michigan) has a ton of casinos (several Indian owned in Michigan that are humongous) and St.Louis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati are other cities I highly recommend you visit for their unique, large, and beautiful casinos resorts. So many more places for you to visit over the years. Just wanted to give you some other ideas in case they haven't crossed your mind yet. Safe travels and have fun!!!
Thank you so much! That is a wealth of information! We are actually going to check out Biloxi in March! Haven’t planned it yet tho. How many days do you think I would need there to see everything?
I WAS AT THE MOHEGAN SUN CASINO IN 2017...DURING THE BLIZZARD & HAD A BALL.... WHILE SNOWED IN. LOVED YOUR VIDEOS ON .... HEADED BACK UP TO CHEROKEE IN MAY FOR MY 50th..... CHEERS🍾🥂🍾🥂
WOW!!!! I am have been to Cherokee many many times. I am super impressed you filmed without permission. lol lol anyway, awesome video. Excellent editing too. Hey you may consider filming a video at the NEW Caesars Casino in Danville VA. Thanks so much for sharing. Keep the videos coming.
Hi 👋 where we were coming from we had a rise in elevation but not mountain side cliffs or anything scary. I’m the same I don’t want to see how high we are while driving! We were coming from Maggie valley. It was a touristy rd with hotels, stores, Santa land etc it was a pleasant ride :)
Hello! Thank you I just published a video about the hotel and a room in Creekside tower here is the link th-cam.com/video/96kQMVb7hQM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SbiDK7N-gfaCj9uZ
You should have tried chicken wings at the bowling alley. As someone who came here from upstate NY to work those wings are legitimate! Also the hours changed. Food Court is gone and Ramsey’s is now 24 hrs!
Power bill is like 2m a month but the casino also helps out the surrounding countys beautiful place but i agree with some of the natives the rest of Cherokee needs some attention too like a good walmart but that plan went down.
Bristol is terrible. It’s still a temporary building, allows smoking. You feel dirty when you leave. Payouts are non existent now. The new building isn’t going to be very impressive either.
I'm looking to take my family in June we have only been 1 time but didn't stay on site so how can we book there and get the room compt . Love the video
Thank you :) I was able to book the comp room on the Caesar’s app. I play slots in Atlantic City and Las Vegas that’s why I was able to get free rooms because if my previous gambling. You can also book right on Thor website. Have a great time!
I'll pass on the gambling. Its an Indian casino with no gambling commission to insure everything is on the up and up. To many people with expertise felt like things just weren't right at the BJ table. They asked to see the cards on a newly shuffled BJ deck turned face up and management refused. In Vegas, by law they have to show the cards if asked. If they won't show the cards run out the door.
I live about an hour away in Asheville, NC. Harrah's in Cherokee is honestly on of the WORST PAYING casinos I have ever played at. I have heard their overall payout is only about 40 percent. I have never seen a sign posted ANYWHERE in the casino showing their overall payout return as I have in other casinos, and chances are I never will.
So Awesome... love it up there...

Make sure to make reservations for Brio ahead of time. It will not disappoint you!!!!!

@@TheKrista5I work at Southern Sunrise Pancake House in North Myrtle. Also a couple days at Kings Famous Pizza. Try both!!
Brio is so good and Ruth cris

Hi Jennifer. Thanks for your content. How was the drive over the mountain to Cherokee? My spouse doesn’t do well with heights and mountain roads.
Truck parking? Great video btw
Not sure? Thank you!

Loved wicked weed food
Us too! So good!
Jennifer you need to do a trip to Caesars Danville Virginia and Hard Rock Bristol. We are going to danville this weekend for caesars.
Oh I didn’t even know about those! Thank you! Hope your having a great trip!
Bristol is terrible. It’s still a temporary building, allows smoking. You feel dirty when you leave. Payouts are non existent now. The new building isn’t going to be very impressive either.
I’m thinking it’s too soon for those. They aren’t in their permanent locations yet.

There is another video on this channel 2 years ago visiting the same place.
Yes there is! That was our first visit there 😊
The video policy is no recording on the game floor, upstairs is ok to record. Pictures are allowed though.
Thank you for the information!
When I was there back in October, someone said that no photos were allowed on the game floor.
Poker room???????????

Lol “people with expertise” - the games are square at Cherokee you dolt
no poker room?
There is a poker room next to the sportsbook

I’ve had plenty of wins at Cherokee

Thank you for sharing your experience!
I go for the good food and relaxation!!! I win about 1 in every 4 trips . Winning is a bonus. The Brio and Ruth’s Chris are fantastic
Don’t waste a dollar there. You never win there
This casino is empty! looks a boring place.
It’s pretty nice I was just filming really early
What a terrible location
Sorry you don’t like it :(
Need to be in Charlotte
i agree, cherokee does remind me of mohegan sun, just spent a day at mohegan and only donated 50 dollars
That was a very good day! 50 donation is 👍 it’s like a admission fee lol
I loved Mohegan Sun the one time I went there although let’s be honest, winning always slants opinions!
