This is a gem. I was looking for a way to make smooth lines in photoshop to make a clean sketch. I didn't know how to use curves for that. Now i know. Thank you!
The stroke path and the alt-key thing to remove a curve was a great learning point. Thank you (I won't judge how this was narrated because that was two years ago)!

Why is it when i stroke the path, and select brush, it makes the thin line white, and the thickness black? Edit: My question is how do i make it go all black instead of having a white line in the middle?
I'm not exactly sure as to what you are specifically asking about, but I'm assuming that you are wondering about the fill and stroke for what you are creating? Not sure what version you may have but in the latest version of photoshop once you select the pen tool, look at the menu bar (File,edit,image,etc.) and right below it you'll see the pen tool icon as well as a menu to the right of it. Select where is says path and change it to shape. It will allow you to change the fill (the color inside of the shape you are making) to whatever color you desire, or none if you wish. The same can be done to the stoke(the outline of the path you are creating)

there is a new pen tool called curvature pen tool its now even easier to draw large curves
