Really like the stripe shirt. Very Boho cute. The ruffle bottom shirt is great. Would be great with jeans too. Great shirt Brad. As you say the fit is great. Nice summer shirt. You need to make a few more for him. That's right we can be silly over 60. Love the fabric you used for the cocoon dress.

The pattern companies should consult you about how to make their patterns look great. That cocoon dress is so stylish and flattering. I swore I would not buy any more patterns....but....but...but Vivmom made me do it!! Thanks for an uplifting share and I like the idea of sewing something for Spring.

Wow...you got all those done! Bravo!! You look so cute in everything and frankly...I knew when you showed that cocoon shape dress pattern that it would be stunning on you. Likely 95% of people who sew that don't have the right body shape for it but it suits you perfectly and you styled it so chic too. One tiny bit of constructive criticism: your added on chest pockets are too high. Most ready to wear garments have them right over the breast area and not up in the shoulder valley. But even so, your corners and topstitching are crisp and perfect on them. Thank you for sharing your makes and giving inspiration for getting our makes completed too. Can't wait for the next fabric video, you have such great taste in fabric! Have a great weekend.

The blue print fabric for the top with the ruffle hem was Beau-ti-ful! It made a wonderful top. I also loved the top with the ball gown ladies on the fabric.
I imagine that a lot of us would not give that Burda pattern a second look. At a glance, flipping thru the pattern book, it registers as a dowdy dud. But you have a great eye for matching fabric to a hidden gem of a pattern and hemming it to the right length. Congrats, that dress is a winner!
Burda should thank you for really selling that pattern.

Thank you for all this inspiration! I live in the Southern California desert area and it’s already 80 degrees!! So, I completely get how sewing more spring-ish clothes makes you feel happy. I showed my hubby all of Brad’s creations and he loved them....yeah not for a business meeting....lol 🤪

I am pausing this video at the two minute mark because I simply must comment on this New Look outfit!! You are like a genious when it comes to co-ordinating and adding your own personal touch to things. That outfit is just GORGEOUS!!!! That is code for---"I WANT IT!!!!" Everything you made is awesome. Your "bag" dress is great. You have great legs and it shows them off. So glad to have you back on TH-cam. Your videos are always so pleasant. I haven't made clothing for myself or anyone since my kids were young (they are now in their 40's). But recently signed up for a sewing class. I thought a refresher course would be fun and good for me.

Beautiful outfits and they give me so much inspiration. Your hubby Brad has such a nice smile as do you. I’ve been working on my projects here in Va. today also. I recently made instead of a dress form I made a pants form for myself to help me fit my pants better. I sent photos to Joy Bernhardt. The pole inside of it was giving me a fit but hopefully I got it fixed. The pole goes down in a stand. Then I did few alterations on a pattern. Hopefully tomorrow I can get it cut out and try it on my pants form and get it sewn next couple of days. Love sewing but wish I was little better and quicker.

The print pattern on the ruffle top is so cute! I love the Mood Print ,adorable 💜. I think it would look really cute with blue jeans too. Such a cute top. I also love your first make , your top looks so good on you. I like the way you put the navy blue knit on the bottom and the bias binding on the neck. Brads matching shirt looks so good, it is a great cotton print that looks great on men and looks so feminine on you with the type of pattern you used and the navy accents. Love it! 💗🥰

I have a complaint: your videos are too short! I could watch them all day--and I have binge-watched; they're great. As someone getting back into sewing after a long absence, I especially like your tutorials, because you show and explain what you're doing so well. You make the cutest outfits for yourself and Brad. I think the matching tops look great and not at all silly. I liked every one of these makes on you.

Oh, my goodness... you did it! I called it a ‘bag’ dress as well, and I’ll be honest, I didn’t think it could come out wearable. But it did! Your blue cocoon is quite stylish and looks great! The pattern model with tennis shoes looks like she went to work and took out her shoes at lunch to walk around the block. I cannot explain the other model except a fashion fail!

Your post gave me a chuckle. I don’t know about today’s fashion either. I do a few alterations for kids going to prom and some wear tennis shoes with their fancy prom dresses. I can’t get used to that.

You don’t look pregnant!!! You look gorgeous as always!!! I’m in the process of making a man’s shirt just to see how it turns out. I’m doing flat felted seams to set the sleeves, French seams on the sides, collar stand, and long sleeves with pleat and placket. I told Donnie if it didn’t turn out well he could wear it as a pj top and I’d make some matching bottoms. That’s what it might be!!!!

Lovely! No one can Enable quite like another fabric addict! I enjoy seeing that my guy isn't the only Guinea pig around that is a good sport! Brad's hilarious! I just picked up the first pattern you showed under a different name and number from Walmart. It's So Simple McCall's it's called #L9506. For $2.97! And it only shows the pants and crop top but all those other views are included on the pattern paper plus the scarf. I'm finding a lot of New Look patterns in this format lately.
I think the matching blue shirts is cool because the fabric is nice and the patterns you chose go well with it.

Ok. I had forgotten you must be my age. I’m 62. How depressed that makes me. I can’t wear sleeveless or even short sleeves anymore due to excessive crepe paper skin. And I am very pale. It’s ok. I’m trying to work through it. Lol. It does delight me though that somebody still has it. Lol. I especially loved the last outfit. Currently taking care of my almost 97 yr old mother and have two grandbabies twice a week (8 and 1), so so no can sew.

I love the matching shirts. Nothing wrong with matching especially since you’re shirt is so different. Brad’s shirt looks ready to wear. It looks fabulous and the fit is perfect. Hopefully Brad’s puppy shirt will only be used as pajamas. You are usually so spot on with your fabric/pattern combos. My thought was that you must have been drinking when you came up with that. (Just kidding) He is a good sport, and you did persevere and finish. You were both so cute when he was trying it on. Love, love, love the cocoon dress.
