Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh when asked about military growth in China said,'We have much better exposure than them. I am confident that as far as human angle is concerned, as far as our people behind the machine are concerned, we are way ahead of them. We may not be so good as of now on technology. We have lagged. We were better than them in technology some time back, but have lagged in that & need to catch up.'

Corruption in the Indian military is the biggest hurdle for modernization. Can you believe with 90% imported equipment LCA took 20 years to get inducted.
Why do you think that corruption is the biggest reason for these bad situations? Isn't it because Indians simply don't have the IQ resources to develop advanced weapons? Corruption or no corruption, India is not capable of independently developing advanced weapons. Please accept this fact that has been verified for 70 years. Constantly blaming your officials for corruption will not help India's progress at all.

j-10 first flight was 1998 and introduction into PLA airforce in 2004-05 . these initial models did not even had BVR , flew with Russian engines till 2021 , chinese matured them in service like all other..... now they pack local single engine category is 85-130 kn almost equivalent to latest f-16 .
Tejas first flight was 2001 order given in 2022 for MK1A . not counting the 40 tejas mk1
IAF wants to match to f16 block 70 , totally unrealistic . Americans achieved this level in successive blocks 10 /15 20 30/40 50 60 70 .
