QOTD: Have you ever caught a fish over 40 inches in length? If not I hope you do But if you have you should put a lot of thought into hitting that SUBSCRIBE button.
Wow what a king!!!! Did he bite that otter egg? Geez!!! I fought a 20+ catfish on 6lb for an hour before but thats the longest time frame for me on one fish. I also caught 26lb male king before at salmon river and he ran me way down river but i landed him in 15-20 mins or so. I have been to both the Salmon river and oak orchard a handful of times and the biggest kings i have ever seen personally were at the oak so it kinda makes sense. Good job man!! You should get a replica mount of that beast!! Fish on!!
He sure did! They were on fire that morning, I hooked up twice in a short amount of time. I’ve gone many times with no hook ups or just 1. I think the rainy weather had them turned on. This could have been landed earlier if I was with someone and had a 10 wt fly rod. I’ve thought about it, it’s still the biggest fish I’ve caught! Tight lines man, thanks for the support🎣
That's definitely a fish worth getting measurements and weight on for a replica mount. I tie flies here in NY and can't wait to hook into a beast like this on something I made.
Last fall I got a nice Atlantic salmon in the oak. It was very jumpy like yours. I saw a couple others caught that day. They used to be pretty rare, but they may be more common now. It's possible you hooked an atlantic, too.

Monster Salmon 👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks! Tight lines Bill and Mike🎣
Coho are very good biters. They’re one of my favorite to target. I don’t doubt the one you hooked at the beginning smoked it.
They always go crazy right when hooked. They’re a blast.
are you close to the oak
About an hour away…
Congrats on a great fish!
😁🎣
NICE!!!!
Thanks🎣
Where abouts is this looking to get my first ever salmon?
This was on the Oak Orchard River👍🏼
My favorite river.
One of my favorites as well especially when no one else is there!
@@OfficialCreekGeek you should track down the smallmouth on the oak.
I’ve gotten a few before in the summer but I’m gonna try this upcoming spring!
@@OfficialCreekGeek see you around then, tight lines!
