Norma Hendrix is a mixed media artist whose work explores the complexities of the natural world. Using environmentally low impact materials, she creates multilayered surfaces. She exhibits nationally and internationally. Her artwork is held in public and private collections. Hendrix resides in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.
My time at Maelor gave me the solitude I crave for my creative work, without external demands. With only four or five residents, Maelor offers a casual environment, void of meal schedules or programs.
The days usually end at a pub with laughter, stirring conversations and exchange of ideas.
