rant: i wish voting mattered

Voting does matter.This perspective is as a U. S. citizen.I have voted in almost every election since I was 21.A major reason to vote is because thousands of men and women have sacrificed,fought,have been wounded and died to have this freedom.Other countries ruled by brutal regimes have not had this freedom and have been suppressed,tortured and murdered to seek this freedom.
We have mainly a two party system,Democrat and Republican.They are polar opposite’s in their belief systems and political stances.And now it is as great as it has ever been.So you have to first identify what you believe in…. And that will guide you into what party you support.
There may be two wings but the bird is not the same.I understand where you’re coming from but policies have to pass in Congress so things can get bogged down and often progress is not made.I will not go deep into specifics because of the possibility of being cancelled.
I do believe in the concept of “The lesser of two evils”.An analogy would be that if you are cut you will bleed.Some cuts are deep and you will bleed to death immediately and other cuts are only superficial and only bleed a little bit.So I would vote for the candidate that will cause the less bleeding in order to survive.
Now,there will never be a perfect government because they are administered by human beings who have flaws and nefarious purposes for their own benefit or what they want humanity to be.But we try to get as close to the most optimum as possible.
Now,having said that.Concerning former President Trump.Yes,some of his flaws did come out before his election.No one is a saint.He was one of the greatest Presidents in American history.Even though he and his family were falsely accused,slandered and persecuted,he still took this country to the greatest it has ever been for a long time in all aspects.America was exploding with prosperity for all people,Black,White,Brown,Yellow,Women.The media is our greatest enemy because they do not tell the truth.That way they can keep people who know no better under control.
In America,one party will lead us to destruction and the other party to prosperity even though there are some turncoats.But saying that there are those in the establishment who don’t like their comfort turned over.President Trump was a Bull in a China store.He upset the establishment.
A final thought and that is,if the election process is tampered with and elections are overthrown then eventually a country will turn into chaos and dictators and tyrants will emerge and rule.
Anyway,keep voting even if you think it is a waste of time.
