Loved this episode. Don proved himself that's for sure.
Marlo said she wore 2 pairs of False Eylashes during the show.....what a trooper!
I wore my dark brown hair like that and Two Pairs of eye lashes…. On my Big Brown eyes!! At that time!!! Alas I couldn’t afford the clothes 😢😢
@@deehowe8104 and I never could get them on and if I did they didn't stay. But my mom wore them and looked a lot like her minus the bangs. Frosty pink lipstick, blue eyeshadow, sky blue that Ann often wears was her fave color and she had pins for her dresses and black hair. I remember her teasing her hair . And those big plastic rollers. I lost her in 1970 when I was 7.
Love her beautiful outfits
Pleasantly Surprised! I had never watched this show in my life. Came here for Mary Frann, who is only 25 in this episode (but looks and acts much older). Now I have to watch more episodes...
Mary Frann only appeared in this one episode. Lots of other reasons to watch That Girl. Principally, Marlo Thomas and Ted Bessell.
Marlo Thomas was my first T.V. crush!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
Mine too. TV crush but I had one for Annette Funicello when a muskrat, I mean Mouseketeer. Must be the hair.
Marlo Thomas is one of the most gorgeous women to ever grace American television. WOW 😲😲
ABSOLUTELY!!😊 GORGEOUS!!😊
Rhinoplasty aside.
I thought she looked beautiful in the first four seasons, then in season 5 something was so different with her look.
@@bluecollarlitthey did away with the bangs in her hair
@@ladylibertywdc8324hey,it worked!
Mary Frann played Bob Newhart's wife, Joanna Louden, on "Newhart". She died in her sleep in 1998 from an apparent heart attack. RIP. She was a talented beauty with an amazing sense of comedic timing.
This secretary took it upon herself to get her boss a pair of boxers!!! What nerve!!! I hate that Ann never punched her in the mouth!!!!!
Yeah, that is really inappropriate.. 😂
@@molliwilson5639 it seemed to go from bad to worse! Great ending though!
@patriciamorgan2669. I thought the SAME thing when I heard that boxers line; and, the secretary secretary knew the right size to get, too--the nerve, the gall, the inappropriateness! The writers were trying to strike a nerve with this line, and they succeeded.
Pretty forward
Any woman who goes after a man knowing he has a girlfriend or wife is someone that is no good for the man there after. Don is a keeper.
Pat would then move to rural Vermont where she would find herself married to an innkeeper but as it turned out the innkeeper was actually a Chicago psychologist having a dream and the woman's existence was just part of that dream and the psychologist's wife was actually a schoolteacher.
Ann is so darling!!! She is a doll!!! Her outfits are all so pretty and matched... Her coats are very pretty Her shoes and purses!!! Love this show... Don is so handsome Lew is a riot!!! It's a fun show.. I watch it all the time and record it... ❤❤❤😂😂😂....
Awww, this episode was adorable.
And relatable, lol 😅
And Pat played by Jennifer Douglas, aka Mary Fran... I thought she looked familiar, but the name threw me off!
She looks adorable with pigtails
Only one that ever did.
She could even wear a (pardon while I gag at the thought of one) bun and I hate those things. Only certain (very short list) of girls can pull those off.
Nah because I’d be throwing hands with Pat if I were magically teleported into the world of That Girl
Miss Crawford is no match for Miss Marie.
Ann is very insecure about herself when it comes to Don. He keeps going on about his secretery, and stupid Ann is very jealous. She made a fool of herself at Don's office.
What nympho, going after Donald all the while knowing that he's in love with Anne Marie.
Sometimes the thrill is taking away someone who is attached.
It's nice having 3 episodes in a row without Ann's meddlesome father being in them. These episodes have a much fresher storyline to them without his annoying character constantly being in them.
I know, he's such a grump.
I liked her father. Lew Parker was a good actor.
Never liked him in anything he did.
And where was her Mom? The dad was always showing up alone.
@@pathough2100 I know it is odd as the Mother was the likeable one.
Glad to see an episode where Donald’s getting some female attention. Usually it’s all about Ann.
I was thinking the same thing. Donald was so deserving of it.
When Ann arrives at Donald's apartment to return his belongings, the front of her hair is messy with split bangs. Then when she descends the steps into his living room, her hair is neat again.
Oooo …It’s Mary Fran, using a different stage name.

Ms. Flippen was normally the story consultant but she sometimes wrote TG episodes such as this one. She also wrote for Bewitched, and given that she wasn't particularly original, her same approach would sometimes appear in both places.
Secretaries always wanna be starting something
interesante escena tipo Sra Robinson a Dustin hoffman
Miss Crawford should wear more sweaters
Like Joanna Louden on "Newhart?" Aha!!!
Mary Frann was beautiful.
Well now we know why Don and Ann never married (13:49): he was gay! LOL What's more, the actress who played Pat, billed here as Jennifer Douglas, was Mary Frann, the actress who played Bob's wife on "Newhart"!
Mary Frann appeared once on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, too.
In that episode she was trying to come between Mary and Rhoda, friendship - wise.
Similar to how she's trying to come between Don and Ann, here.
Surely you are joking. This episode was pre-Stonewall. At that time, the word "gay" meant happy and had not yet been used to indicate sexual orientation
They made Mary Frann look dowdy, not pretty. Now, there's an old fashioned word for you.
I'll bet a whole lot of women would give their right arm to look that "dowdy".
I agree, Keith! And I am a straight female.
Both ex and current wife can’t stand her, never could.
@@petegregory517 are they jealous of how adorable and feminine she is?
The eye lashes were a bit much! They're some what in style again, but they still look fake!
Ann asking all the questions about the secretary got annoying
Yeah, men are actually very jealous yet pretend that they are not…
ann should have dumped him.
He was gay and Charming 1966
