Those sounded like some pretty serious drawbacks (bad firing pins, bad iron sights, and loose muzzle cap). Are the benefits over an FN 5.7 (better recoil, smaller profile, large mag) really significant enough to outweigh those concerns?

Considering I got one of the very first ones to come out, there are likely to be some initial hit cups. This is not uncommon. Regardless, the firing pin issue seems to have been resolved, the iron sights issue was just required me to adjust them (as if I've never done that before lol), and any threaded muzzle with a thread protector will back off and unscrew over time so that is not novel to this pistol.
This pistol is definitely better than the FN 5.7

Did your firing pin break during live firing or dry firing. Mine did twice from dry firing, but has been great during live firing over 2k rounds, about 300 of them being spicy rounds.

I honestly couldn't tell you. I brought it to the range and it wouldn't fire and I knew almost immediately it was a firing pin issue. So it either broke on the last round of my previous range session, or it broke during dry practice in between.
