Some more information here I wanna provide, as a VSRG charter myself The nth note shown in this video are used in Stepmania. The are different from the ones in Quaver, Malody, and osu!mania which uses 1/n The relation is that the number here has to be divided by 4 to get that of the three mentioned above So 4th equals 1/1, 12th is 1/3, 192nd is 1/48, etc. in Quaver, Malody, osu!mania Also, iirc the terms "jump" and "hand" comes from DanceDanceRevolution - this is because you have to "jump" to hit two notes at once and you need a "hand" to hit three notes at once in the game. Hope these explanations help some people here. 😊
Cool information, the only one I already knew was the hands and jumps. I have a question about O2Jam, does it use the same nth note system as simfiles or is it different and goes like the others.
and i think pump just add new way to contermeasures to hand notes they call them Bracketed notes, since those 3 notes jump you need to press 2 panel at the same time resulting your feet to be in the most corner of that panel wich was usually were bracket of that note were placed though im still curious since when they did brackets considering if you lucky to search older pump it up game play from 2005 till 2011 you almost not see any player doing brackets and use hand instead
Oooh that's interesting cuz when I heard of "brackets" in my community, it usually refers to a pattern where you would alternate between the group of notes that are one space apart. For example in 7-key charts it would be hitting columns at 1357 first and then hitting 246 and so on. I guess in this case for PIU it only refers to hitting 135 (no alternation). But yeah it is quite interesting to see these differences in coining/using similar terms between different rhythm games.
I sometimes hate trills because my hands usually just give up, but i do love the stream charting, since its both satisfying (and makes me look professional too)
I know that feeling, although oddly my right hand seems to fare better on trills than my left I can keep up Up+Right trills for a little bit, but I can only do like two rows of Left+Down trills [and even then just _barely]_ before my hand gives up I'd almost say it's my biggest weakness if not for the fact jumpstreams destroy me [and that's not even mentioning handstreams]

Cool information, the only one I already knew was the hands and jumps.
I have a question about O2Jam, does it use the same nth note system as simfiles or is it different and goes like the others.
The term hand came about in the itg community, as in ddr there has never been an officially playable chart with a hand note in

1 - you responded to a 6 month old comment, not knowing how much improvement was made.
2 - you're complaining to a comment which said they sparingly played rhythm games, meaning you think every rhythm game is for little kids
3 - you think jacks are the only thing in Matt's songs
4 - this comment is old and has very few likes so very few attention and traction, and yet you replied with likes on both of yours instantly, meaning you liked your own comments.
You seem desperate for attention with your comment, ironic since you already get some by just telling people not to use keyboards.

@@dinosharttt I know, your ego and pride tells me that.
Additional: Stairs - The same as rolls but in a back and forth position

Stairs and rolls are real fun ngl
@@frostbitten4117 they are so boring like unplayable boring
1:03 I've always called them Gallops
My favorites (from the link you put in the desc.):
Jump(s)(chains)
Hands
Mini Jacks (Not normal jacks) (in a specific pattern)
Streams/Jumpstreams/Handstreams (im bad at j/hstreams)
Triple(t)s/Gallops
Running Men/Crossovers
Rolls/Staircases
Bursts
*I'm not very good at rhythm games right now but i like these patterns*
"192nd notes"
Fnf mods: look what they need to mimick a fraction of our power
1:44 isn’t this called stairs?
Good video, it could help to learn the basics.
Jump chains are honestly one of the hardest things to hit for me
0:45 the sound you hear when your barber is giving you a fresh cut
0:33 run be like
0:27 MuseDash moment
thx for the info on how to name them :)
also the notes are rlly chaotic-
My favorite patterns are definitely rolls, trills, and running men, but that might just be because of clone hero.
I got flashbacks of Mid-fight Masses, mid-flight masses hd, Hex Encore on hardmode, bob, tree mod, and Matt.
I got flashbacks of sad mouse.avi

Altho there's no freeze arrow (holds) in FFR, there is in stepmania. There is also hold + arrow

1:28 This charting sucks! It’s so bad!
0:33 THIS IS AMAZING CHARTING!!1!1!11!1
@@Scbalq Don't compare that to MFM, unnecessary notes thrown everywhere there.
Wait is they're really said that's a good chart wut ( bad engrish ;(( )
@@Scbalq it was bad though, I didn't say it deserved it's hate anywhere all I said (summarised) is MFM is worse than that chart
This video called out to me for stepmania.
I now play stepmania somewhat daily.

@@tensixtyoclock i get that matt sings really fast and whatever that time stamp was supposed to be a joke and all but i think for week 2 the charting for both sporting and boxing match clinging to trills 1:08 more if anything also jacks and mini jack
my man just described the whole fnf charts
Fnf kid cringe
0:44 definitely a great chart
0:44 び in a nutshell
Thank you for this video now I can confuse my friends by calling note pattens by those names instead of what I have been calling them
No one:
Litterally no one:
*192nd note: ...* (0:44)
Bambi from fnf: *WHY NOT USING 192ND NOTE IN MY SONGS*
im literally in love of how clean and fun it is to do handstreams.
Only if the player *can* hit them, to which I am not one of those players yey
If you can hit streams, they are literally the best notes to play for me since it feels really smooth and satisfying to not miss a single note there. I'm super bad at long jacks and jackstairs/jackstreams? Idk how to call em, but minijacks are fine for me as long as u don't use them too much since it ruins my accuracy, same with long jacks
@@madinga4 just straight up hard fax.
They are so satisfying
16th note: Matt
32nd note: Screwed left side
48th note: Supernovae and Glitch
Supernovae? more like thearchy
everyone talks about fnf when this charting GAME only compatible with some stepping stuff
oh now i know im good at streams! :D
(but not other kind of streams tho lolol)
