Really, when you think about it, the whole situation for resident doctors in Canada seems a bit off. They go through so much schooling, only to earn around $60,000. That's a lot of effort for not a huge salary, especially with those crazy long shifts - up to 24 hours sometimes! Sure, if you love helping people, it might feel worth it. But then there's AI, right? It's getting so good at diagnosing illnesses, maybe even better than some doctors. Makes you wonder what's the point of all that hard work if machines are starting to do the same job? It's a big thing to think about, not just for doctors, but for all of us.
Your not wrong but your forgetting the most crucial part of being a Doctor which is the patient and Doctor relationship and interaction. That is what no robot at the moment can replicate and if they do anytime soon then 🥲😅😅
Hi Darren thanks for explaining things clearly. I just have a doubt, between dental (no big specializations) and med school (only family physician option) which among the two is better only in the financial point of view?!
Physician assistants/associates (PA-Cs) make about 90-100 k straight out of school some experienced workers make 120k plus over time, in US even more…I think it’s because of the workload as well as how stressful the program is.. at the end of the day direct patient care jobs are a huge sacrifice both in and out of school
Thank you, Darren! A lot of very insightful info packed concisely into one relatively short video.
Super helpful video, thanks Darren!
Glad you found it helpful :)
Please drop a video (or a comment) on the skincare products you used for this video 🙏

Ai will be a tool for physicians but wont replace them. They still need that knowledge to account for accuracy and to input the right data
@@DenisZenASMRNot for long, it's being developed or developing 😂 at a rapid pace..

Thanks for your video, Darren, would you mind sharing the salary of a pediatrician in Canada?
I just hope getting into residency becomes easier in the coming years for IMG in Canada. Starting my med school in Nepal!
Good luck!
May I know what is your comment on physician assistants? In terms of pay and workload. Thanks.
