    Real men just move the keyboard out of the way and work and their god given station.
    Thank you for the video, and if parts were available, I'd be doing the same. First big nostalgia wave in '23 as people try and relive time crisis 1 all over again.

    Just wanted to say thanks. I know I am late to the game but did the Aimtrak conversion and this video motivated me to do the Gun4ir as well. Between your video and their discord…went smoothly. Such an awesome setup. Thx again!

      I have a couple aimtraks. Did you think it was worth it? Did you do it yourself or have rpeg mod it for you?

    Great tutorial! For the camera sensitivity, note that you can actually test and change it in real time in the camera tab 😉

    Great video. Been contemplating adding a Top Shot Elite rifle to my Gun4IR collection. Picked up a Nerf today for $2 and about to mod it next. JayBee designed a nice system and pretty easy to diy build your own from scratch.

    Nice Video! If I can fit the camera into place okay, I use all the buttons/boards in place already on the gun including the trigger. Some boards have multiple components that you don't use they can and will interfere with operation, so its best to isolate them by cutting the traces on the board, Using a Stanley knife, I cut the all the traces on the board around each switch I will be using to isolate them from other components on the old boards. I then solder wires to each switch individually. Switches that aren't used at all I either just leave them be, or hot glue them secure so they feel like part of the gun.

    With this price, I want to see some 4 player games setup! I'm really curious how much worse the Bluetooth version is. 4 wireless guns would be really cool

    Good work mate. Can you tell me how the solenoid responds to trigger being pulled? Does it have a connection to the Arduino board? In your diagram it looks like it's just connected to the power?

    Is it possible to wire all the buttons and D-pad?

  • @ARKitectGaming
    @ARKitectGaming 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

    How do you wire the trigger I have a 3 prong micro switch marked (common) (normally open) (normally closed) I need power to the common but don’t know where to run the power from.then when I pull the trigger the power will run through normally open and wire to the A2 pin on the Arduino. Do I need to ground this switch? Please help I’ve watched all your videos and others and nobody shows how to wire the trigger and the diagram you provided is difficult to understand

    Got a few questions sir.
    1. Did you lose the d pad and analogs ?
    2. Since you drill out the front IR sense would the fish eye lense not be beneficial for the IR camera
    3. The pump action reloads?
    4. Got a link or model number for the piston style recoil you used in this build
    Thanks for the videos

    • @ArcadePirate
      @ArcadePirate  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes I removed the d pad and analogs. A fish eye lens is always needed for your light guns. (Unless your really far away from the TV/Monitor). You can always map your pump button for reload in each game. Check out my video on building a GUN4IR from the ground up. th-cam.com/video/CXjWhmYP2TI/w-d-xo.html

  • @vansvans332

    nice build. For the Solenoid, it has two wires. How do you connect it. one wire goes on the solenoid (D7) and where does the other wire connect to?

    • @ArcadePirate
      @ArcadePirate  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the OEM kit it has two wires that are separate from the rest. Normally the same color. You can connect the wires to this location. Doesn't matter the orintation.

  • @msmander87

    I dont know if I want to sell my Sinden guns, but these Gun4IR guns are really pricey though. I hope Andy fixes the software so you only need one running instead of 2 separate programs.

    Is this the same technology of the aimtrak but with four sensors around the screen ??? Why did aimtrak only go for one sensor bar ???

    • @ArcadePirate
      @ArcadePirate  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it might be similar tech. I would ask JayBee or Raymond below. I think at the time one sensor bar was probably enough for some people. Not for true light gun fans. 😃
