    It is time to get Murphy back up in the air. But before I would feel safe flying this helicopter, we need to go completely through him and clean and lube every part of this helicopter. If it needs cleaned, we are going to clean it, if it needs to be adjusted, we are going to adjust it!
    This series is all in thanks to Syndicate who suggested we do a complete Maintenance Series, and that is exactly what we are going to do. In this video, we are going to go Completely through the DFC head on this Align 600 Nitro DFC Helicopter. From head to tail and everywhere in between, we are going to touch it, adjust it, clean it, thread lock it and tune it! Including verifying everything in the DX9 is setup correctly and that the Telemetry out of our TM1000 is working correctly!
    I don't know about you, but this has been a long time coming and it's time to see Murphy back in the air once again! This helicopter means a lot to me and I can't stand just seeing him hanging on the wall because it gives me massive headaches. It's time to power through the pain and put Murphy back in the air where he belongs!!!
    Below are all of the links to the different sections of the video. If you need help with one particular section, just click on the link to fast forward to that section.

    Great informative and fun video, more info on the types of lube would be good and some instruction on how to relax really tight ball joints on the head and swash would help the rookies out here.

    you are cleaning and testing all those parts exactly like me on my little Walkera master CP^^. So I never was too finical about it, as i thought^^. Helicopters Can´t be set up too perfekt

      I take pride in smooth working helicopters. Some of the helicopters that I get in to work on are just crusty feeling in the bearings and it drives me nuts lol. You are right, they can't be setup too perfect for sure. www.Rc-Help.com

    Hi Tony I have a question for you: I bought a brushless motor and I use it with a NimH battery, when I go forward it just makes a noise like the cogs are trying to turn but cant. Is there anything I can do? Thanks

      Any head you can get for a 550 or 600 align will work. The ikon is a fantastic gyro, pretty much my favorite. As for part number, come over to the forum and we can look that up for you. Posting this last minute before heading to work. www.Rc-Help.com

    Can you help me out ?? I have a tree 600 nitro pro is the gold one with the regular paddle

    • @RcHelpDotCom
      @RcHelpDotCom  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can just slap a flybarless head on it and a flybarless gyro. Replace the main shaft as well.

    Hey do accept RC Helicopeters sent to you with prepaid return labels? Could use a professional tuning. Would pay a reasonable rate and be willing to sing off on any documentation not holding you accountable for anything before or after. Out here on Long Island, all the Heli shops are out of business due to the high cost of land

      I have done work for many members of this nature. If you would like more info you can send me a PM (Conversation) on the forum. My username over there is Tony, hope to see you there soon. And that is unfortunate about all the heli shops, but I'm seeing it more and more. www.Rc-Help.com

    stuped question when you replace flybar to flybarless head you need to change your swash plate or not
    ( convertion to flybarless ) thanks.

    • @RcHelpDotCom
      @RcHelpDotCom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In most cases, no, you can keep the same swash. The only time that you would want to change out the swash is if you went DFC and you want the 90º balls on the swash. Hope this helps.

      @@RcHelpDotCom thanks for reply , so slant or helical so whats the difference ?

    • @RcHelpDotCom
      @RcHelpDotCom  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm guessing you are talking about the main gear? If so, slant and helical are the same thing. There are only two different kinds of gears and that is straight cut and helical. The straight cut are sometimes cheaper, but they are louder and harder to set gear mesh on. The helical are much quieter and easier to set the gear mesh on, but they can be a bit more expensive. However, the helical are also stronger than straight cut gears so they should last longer and could hold up better in a mild crash.
