- At this point when I have packed all of my shoeboxes, I am concentrating on filler! Filler is extra items you can send to your drop-off location or your nearest processing center to be used in boxes that need it. Put in a box clearly marked filler. It will be so appreciated!

Wow, I think you single-handedly provided most of the filler to the processing center in Baltimore! So glad you found so many 1 cent journals for filler. I love how you packaged them using those myler bags, and adding pencils, sharpener, and fun mini toys. So pretty. I agree notebooks go so fast at the processing center - just as fast as pencil packs. The notebook packs are perfect. I especially like the last 2 with the pretty notebooks. Fingers crossed they come to my station at the processing center! Thanks for sharing, Denise!
You’re funny…. You KNOW how fast that filler goes! Mine will be a drop in the bucket. I just hope more people get the filler bug! One time I got a whole bin of notebooks at my station and they went soooo fast! Thanks for watching my friend!

I love to make filler packs. I finally was able to find some of the rainbow erasers at Walmart for my boxes.
I love making them too! I get so excited when I get an idea for my packs or find special items. Love the rainbow erasers!
I have found a grand total of 3 or 4 of the DT one cent journals 😕 but I am in Sioux Falls with my Mom. Going out tomorrow to look for them here. You made Really nice packs with the spiral bound notebooks! The other day I came across some old notebooks my girls had in school. All the pages weren’t used. They were spiral bound but also had perforations so I could remove the unused paper very easily and use it in my filler packs.

How do you know if they will be one cent?
@@ashleyedwards2700 I found out through a Facebook post and a friend confirmed. But it’s hit or miss on whether or not they will sell them to you. I use self checkout when I can.

Great ideas as always! I found about 20 of those journals for .1 the other day. Went to a different store and they were regular price👎. I trying to get motivated to make actual filler bags bc I have sooooo many bags. Just not there yet🤣. TFS!
I can’t believe they were full price at a different store! Oh I’m motivated because I need to get this to the kids rather than be in my basement. But I’m running out of time with the wedding and such. TFW friend! ❤️
I've not found many of the penny journals. My stores seem really wiped out on lots of things. Checking another one today! Love the packs you made with them. Still hoping to find composition books on good deals too. Last year l got a lot for .10 that I sent to the PC, but nothing so far this year. 🤷🏼♀️

Pencil packs with notebooks are really my favorite to watch. These are wonderful , Denise. Love to see the various types.
I love including some kind of notebook too! I have another pencil pack idea up my sleeve. I just got a bunch of the smaller composition books at Dollar General and used my coupon. I’ll be making 6x 5 sets! Oh how I love pencil packing! 🤣

Great ideas, Denise! I also plan to send the penny journals with a novelty pen as filler, but haven’t come up with the right size bag for it. I’ll have to take a look at those mylar bags. You took them one step further by adding the extra goodies. I like that. ❤ TFS

Denise, great pencil packs. What brand of plastic zip bag did you use for the spiral notebooks, the ones i have are to short of the notebook. Lol i just now saw that they are Ziplock brand 😂😂😂😂
Yep, ziplock! I also ordered some bigger ones Amazon to use with coloring books. That’s my next project!
I just got back from Dollar Tree and 2 of the stores would not sell them to me and between the two stores there were over 50 of them.
Oh noooo. I’m so bummed to hear that! Did they have a self checkout? So far none of my stores have even questioned it!
Three stores would not sell them to me either. Even with my OCC speech. However, have managed to find and purchase over 150 from other DTs. Extremely happy about that.

No ours don't have a self check out. I was able to buy 9 at another DT without an issue. In the past I've never had a problem so I was really surprised when they called the manager over. Total bummer but I'm not giving up. I have a few more DT to hit up. I've had a tough year I was not able to get out to shop the sales due to illness so I'm using what ever I have left over from last year and putting together lots of filler.

Do you know if the processing center has outdoor eating areas? I’m wondering if people could eat outside in their cars 🤔
Not usually. It’s usually too cold that time of year in Maryland. But there are tables on the inside near the chick-a-filet display. I’m not sure about Charlotte or Boone or the one in California.
